You have to remember that BTS are so big that they are at the point where they can do quite much what they want - And you have reacted to their non-idol side only . This is JK and RM, not idols & part of BTS, but solo artists who are so rich they can do what ever they want - if their company would not backing their album up, they could make it themselves and 300 million ARMY would still buy it. Like there is no way they can flop. That's why I'm saying they are not idols here. They are solo artists who do what they want with their albums.

Much over 2 minutes song don't get any air time in US radio which count towards awards. if one wants to fell down the biggesrtt music market to ones feet, one makes 2 minute songs.

The recorded version of this FMV shows a visual part in this FMV. It's near the end of the song. You'll see penciled-like drawings of moving black and white pictures. The moving images show JK hand in hand running with a girl with purple hair (I think the purple hair represents Army). Then it shows the penciled drawing of his tattooed hand writing the words hate and love. Next, it moves to a concert arena, in the same penciled style, showing the thousands of light torches the army holds up swaying with the music. The meaning of this song is probably how he feels about leaving his Army to go into the military and hates having to leave them behind. So he needs to hate them for now to survive. But he wants Army to know he really doesn't hate them. That's why at the end he says it's not the truth. Watch JK's Hate You FMV and you'll see the visual part that gives you the true meaning of this song. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking. When he holds that note near the end, for a long moment it's absolutely mesmerizing and it gave me goosebumps. this is one of his best for sure. Can't wait for him to come back to us. 🥹😒🫤🫠🤧😌🐰🤟💜🩷

He was emotional for real. He did not write the song (credit to Shawn Mendez) but watching the visualizer I am pretty sure he is thinking of ARMY because he had to go to his mandatory military service.

The choice to not have back up singer is maybe because he is the one doing all the back up and the addlib, it wouldn't give the same effect.
