If you recall the 22 Deltics replaced 34 A4s. Sadly the deltic replacement HST have now been replaced by nothing more than glorified multiple units.
I agree the bar is set, but not just because of accuracy, but also value for money. I have recently pre ordered the class 89 badgers in two liveries as convinced accurascale will deliver again.
I’ve been following several British modellers for a couple of years now and the excitement over this model is palpable in all of them. Looks like Accurascale has produced a winner!! Love your channel, enjoy running your Deltics.

This is THE BEST ready to run loco EVER! Yes there have been a few issues with chains, speaker rattles, etc, but with a bit of TLC and a few corrections, you have a PERFECT model! Cannot wait for the 37 and 31, like you say, times have moved on... excellent, honest review and credit to Fran Paddy and co at Accurascale 👍🏻👍🏻
It’s certainly up there in my top 3! The Bachmann 47 takes some beating too! But this deltic is a beast! And it sounds phenomenal.

I have both current Preserved variants with sound and they are really works of art, came to me completely intact without a single issue anywhere.
Yeah they are good. A few guys have encountered paint and glue issues. I have been generally lucky.

An excellent product review Dave and like yourself I am amazed at how well these have been produced by Accurascale. I can't praise them enough for what they have achieved for £160 compared to other overpriced models by the other companies. Sutton's Locomotive Workshop pathed the way for a super detailed tin boxed model with their Class 24s and I hold my breath for the Class 25s. With the Deltic's all sold out after my initial #9016 Porterbrook order, I was pleased that I received an email to say that a #5501 St. Paddy became available to buy too, so fingers crossed to get the 55022 Royal Scott Grey. I am even looking forward to the Class 92 ordered Marco Polo even more. Cheers Dave for the review. PS: every time I see your layout in these video's I am spellbound at how wonderful it is.

I am only stating how good their models are for this price compared to other current manufacturers around the world. Especially as the amount of detailing they have included within the model and the variations incorporated in the tooling.
What big RUclipsr are you talking about (do you mean Dave of Dean Park?). If so, Dave has no influence on me or by anyone else. I make up my own decisions about models and there pricing. It has nothing to do with what other RUclips channels say about them, I either agree or I don't agree with them. Within my comments I write what I feel about the model market.
The RUclipsrs that run their channel as a business, well, their Tax Burden is their own business. Anything he/she gets from a company at a reduced price or as a freebie or even as a loaned item is up to them if they want to declare they have been given a special deal on the item, but again that is up to them to say so. Any drama that ensues is up to them, they have the control over what they have posted on the channel to be watched. Any dissension over a post, they can choose to ignore or respond to the comments made.
Dave or another person can say what they want about a company such as Hornby or Bachmann etc. It has no bearing on me who a model is from, if I like it, I'll buy it, end off. Therefore, any driving away I do is with my models, and that includes the higher priced models, and I don't boycott a company for it. If it is a model, I wish to have even though I don't like the pricing, I will happily wait for a 10-20% sale like I did for the seven car Hornby APT and five car Azuma 800 Bi-Mode sets over the Queens Jubilee Holidays. If an item sells out, yes, I'll be disappointed, but I will wait (even years) until one comes available to buy, or I hope that another company may release it in the future, e.g. the W1 Hush Hush was one until Hornby's version came out. Another on my wish list is the Sulzer Type 4 Diesel Electric Prototype BR Lion D026, I still haven't one of them yet.

As for Dean Park, Dave does wonderful reviews that are honest to the heart to hear. The other un-named RUclipsr you talk off, well, if they have sold their soul to gain from the hobby what they can, then that is up to them. I just like to watch various reviews to see the items close-up, then make my own judgement to buy or not and if I will make a Comment I will.
@@HamStrainsI am happy with the model as is and over previous versions it is a gem. Plus, I am happy that I got the model for this price. A model will never be that perfect due to tooling limits etc. As we all know even the real things had problems from prototype to the sub class upgrades. Like I said I will make my own decisions to buy after viewing multiple reviews and or handling the models myself.

Hi Dave. Diesel and electric locos are not my thing, but wow, what a model! The detail is just superb and to get all that, along with it being fully fitted with sound and 30 functions for £250 is amazing value for money. I think my favourite is the blue one with the axle booxes and springs painted, I realy like it when that detail is picked out like that. Now off to see if accurascale have modelled any steam locos. Another really enjoyable video. Any Accurascale seem to manufacture seems to be to a very high standard and reasonable price that puts some major manufacturers to shame. The prime example I am thinking of is the class 47 Deluxe sound fitted from Bachmann which had so few models produced and extremely expensive. I look forward to more models from Accurascale in a class of locomotive I'd like to have in my layout. More early BR diesels!

Never mind the superb detail of this model, this is an example as to how a review should be presented. So much information is given that you feel the video was longer than it is. This is the standard that all reviews now have to follow. Complaint yes I am jealous as anything, will Accurascale be shrinking this beauty down to 1:148 scale? If not will they pass the info onto another company who will release this fantastic beast in N Gauge - I hope it is the former. 10/10 for setting the standard that all reviews now have to match.

Great review of a superb model.
I have a DPS special of 55015 on the way but for static display only - I don’t have a layout but just had to have a model of my favourite Deltic! It will be on a length of track in a display case on the mantelpiece - I will be weathering it, too, but only slightly.
Your three certainly look the part on your excellent model. All you need now is a few racehorses to join the fleet!

Thanks for the review. First time I’ve bought something really expensive before hearing your thoughts. As I said on the Dean Park Facebook group, too many parts had come loose for me to fix myself so I sent it back for repair. The chains seemed so vulnerable to damage (3 were broken), I’ve asked for them to be removed and popped in a bag. Hopefully get it back soon. If it turns out OK, I’ll consider ordering another from the next run.
Yes, the chains have been an issue. I’m sure the model will return in excellent condition.
It looks as though Iam going to have to save up for one of these wonderful models . I did enjoy the review as well.

Great video, thanks and a very detailed look at the model, which is stunning. I bought The Black Watch and I love it but it sadly needs to be returned as it is constantly de-railing. Accurascale have been great so confident that it will be returned fixed.
Good news that it will be fixed. I’m sure they will sort it. They’ve a full suite of spares too.
Bizarre some suffer from hectic slow speed and also derailment. But that might be bad track and CV tuning. Overall this is a beautiful winner and excellent value for the money ! Nice review. Thanks for sharing & success with the 55's ! ( Eagerly awaiting the upcoming Manor Class... )

As a regular visitor to Top Shed in its heyday im pleased to say I saw all 22 Deltics plus DP1 during my life. I have an Ian Allen book from 1961 titled the "The Deltics are coming"

I ordered KOYLI and D9009 back in 2019 and been blown away by them. Yeah a few detail bits have fallen off but that doesn’t detract from what are astonishing models at any price. £160 though - absolute bargain. Loved the Deltics and managed to see most of them at Waveley in 1981, these models really capture their character and I’ve been enjoying running them regularly on the layout. Thanks for the review - looks like are just as impressed by them.
I was too young to see them in Action. But I’ve been lucky to see KOYLI pass by, these are my clips of her at the beginning. Love the sound. Aw I’d pay for a cd album of deltic sounds lol
Glad the model does the real thing justice. As does your review - thanks. Personally I like the simplest blue/yellow look. I like their bulk and slab sides. I have seen the real things recently, and I have to say they do accelerate incredibly quickly - much quicker than I had expected. Looking forward to your reviews of their 37 and 31 .... :)
I’ve never been behind one. It’s on my list of things I need to do. I’ve been in the cab of one though. Incredibly tight to get into! But wow, what a beast.

They are so nice. I have “Gordon Highlander” in it’s beautiful purple livery. It arrived in perfect condition but I’ve managed to knock 2 of the chains off 🙄 I wish I had bought a couple of more one in green and one in blue would definitely complete the set, hopefully they will have a second run soon so as I can complete my Deltic collection 👍
I honestly didn’t think that the purple one would be popular. But according to accurascale it was the first to sell out and I’m sure they could have sold double of the ones they made!

The best UK D&E RTR loco to date by a comfortable margin. Great to see the side-by-side with the Bachmann effort which, in my personal opinion, is easily the worst UK D&E RTR loco released this century! My Bachmann got sold on, but you won't get the Accurascale out of my sticky grip until rigor mortis has passed😉
Great video Dave of a great model,.my 55011 is exquisite 👌. 55002 was earmarked for the final Deltic special on 02.01.82 but failed in service a day or so before and was replaced by 55015 Tulyar. Was lucky enough to see them in service at Donny in their final years as an 11 year old and was hooked ever since, but only rode behind one for the first time on the mainline in 2010 behind RSG.. 55008 has the honour of the fastest Deltic at 125mph down Stoke Bank on a service train. There is an in depth description of this on a few websites..

Great review of that beautiful beast! You are lucky to have models with good slow speed, mine was more like stop and go despite running in.
Have you tried to push your rolling stock over points as well? I had derailments as the ETH cable was blocking the coupling.
And are your speakers working fine? Looks like some frequencies cause the speaker to hit the fans, making creaking noises.
Hoping to try a Deltic again on the next run if things have been ironed out. Thanks again.
Great overview of the accurascale deltic Dave, I own 9021 Argyll and Sutherland highlander and I would say it is a fantastic model for what you get, I pre ordered mine very late as I was originally not going to get a deltic but when pictures and running models started being seen more I had my arm twisted and decided to place an order, while it is a fantastic model and I’m happy with it some of the negatives that I have are definitely the chains on the bogies, they are very fiddly and I even the other day glued the attachments to the body so they wouldn’t fall out, it’s a great bit of detail to have but like you say we are probably reaching the limit of what we can have in OO gauge, another negative for me is the lack of all lighting on dc, on dc you only get the head code and rear lights and the illuminated drivers controls, you don’t get the cab lights and engine room lights, while you could say thats down to me still being a dc user I would argue that that isn’t great, a recently released model has been the 18000 gas turbine from Rails/Heljan which has all lighting functions available on dc so why couldn’t accurascale do the same with this locomotive, why should dc users not have these lighting functions just for still using dc, why do we have to go to dcc just to get them, that’s something that I really don’t like personally, it is overall a great model from accurascale and they should be proud of themselves, I would really like to see them do a prototype deltic because that is a locomotive I would really like to get hold of in OO gauge.

Just got mine a Blue one (with sound) not given it a test run yet as my small layout is in the loft and with heat wave at the moment it's going to have to wait. Would have preferred a Green version but when I started at my footplate career at Kings Cross they were in the Blue livery. As a lad in his early twenties let me tell you they were brilliant to drive, boy racers of today no nothing!!!! 😅
I bought a sound fitted version and no issues with it. I recorded mine and a Bachmann sound version and some felt it was an Accurascale model too.
sory dave never had a trip behind a deltic it was always inverness class 47 and 37 and mk 1 and 2 coaches keep up the good work
As smooth as butter! If only Hornby would take notice...
That’s one thing hornby are generally still good at…their motors tend to be the best around. The odd exception of course, but I feel they are pretty good at making their locos run well. It’s the missing or incorrect livery details that they slip up on, and always have.

The DCC sound on these sounds great, doesn't seem tinny compared to some others.

Agree it is a thing of beauty . Unfortunately 3 of my 4 chains are off . Initially I thought 2 had completely disappeared but they were on inside of bogie . There were various black bits at the bottom of the tray , very small , but I suspect these are actually parts of the chain attachment . I think maybe the model was not quite correctly inserted in tray causing damage to the chains . Anyway I’ve bought some new fine nose tweezers and some black tack and reattach without permanently glueing in case I need to take body off in future .It would be a shame to lose the chains as I think they are a feature of the model , but they are infuriating and I’m afraid had partly taken the edge off buying this new model . It is a class apart from everything else though . I have run it briefly and it seems silky smooth . So it’s great but it could be really infuriating and I don’t think the packaging is bullet proof as you say. I’d buy with caution.
Looks like a good model. You'll have to see if the motor holds up over the years and has the horsepower to shift all that weight! Thanks for uploading.

Hi hope you don't mind me asking I have the ecos and the new deltic, have you found that the scale speed is ok, i set it to go about 30mph and it's only going about 10- 15mph . Is it possible to change this . I'm a bit new to this ecos so not confident on what to do. Keep up the good work Thanks Phil .
I wanted to know why don’t they dig a tunnel and do an extension for the main line Train so they extend the unused abandoned underground stations.
Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock that includes the class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign them an overhead line and also make them into six cars per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on that six cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N112, Volvo TD102KF, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXC, Gardner 6LXB and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 8-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into an 11 car per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers?
A Stock Train and also having 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it bigger and extend it to bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those 4 European countries such as Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Train tunnel into a High-Speed train?
The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Train line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. then put the modernised 11 car per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those 4 European countries such as Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 11 cars per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 37 times a lot more possible to do this kind of project that is OK for London Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden.
oh by the way, could they also tunnel the Triple-Track Railway Line so it will stop from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex so that the Passengers will go to Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden and also extend the Triple-Track Railway Line from Bank to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex Stations so that more people from there could go to Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden Easily.
Why couldn't they extend the Piccadilly line and also build a brand-new underground train station so it could go even further right up to Clapton, Wood Street and also make another brand new tunnel train station in Chingford and could they extend the DLR?
All of the classes 150, 155, 154, 117, 114, 105, and 106, will be replaced by all of the Scania N112, Volvo TD102KF, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Six carriages three disabled toilets are air conditioning trains including Highams Park for extended roots which is the Piccadilly line and the DLR trains.
Could you also convert all of the 1973 stock trains into an air-conditioned maximum speed 78 km/hours (48 MPH) re-refurbished and make it into a 8 cars per unit if that will be alright, and also extend all of the Piccadilly train stations to make more space for all of the extended 8 car per unit 1973 stock air condition trains and can you also build another Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive Companies and they can order Every 17 Octagon and Hexagon shape LNER diagram unique small no.13 and unique small no.11 Boilers from those Countries such as Greece, Italy, Poland, and Sweden, can they make Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive speeds by up to 117MPH so you can try and test it on the Original Mainline so it will be much more safer for the Passengers to enjoy the 117MPH speed Limit only for HS2 and Channel Tunnel mainline services, if they needed 16 Carriages Per units can they use those class 55’s, class 44’s, class 40’s and class 43HST Diesel Locomotive’s right at the Back of those 16 Carriages Per Units so they can take over at the Back to let those Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s have a rest for those interesting Journeys Please!!!, oh can you make all of those Coal Boxes’s 16 Tonnes for all of the 117MPH Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s so the Companies will Understand us PASSENGER’S!!! so please make sure that the Builders can do as they are Told!! And please do something about these very important Professional ideas Please Prime Minister of England, Prime Minister of Sweden, Prime Minister of Germany, Prime Minister of Italy, Prime Minister of Poland and that Includes the Mayor of London.

I hadn't realised the names were depot-based until recently. And I'd not noticed the tooling line on the nose of either of my models.
I have 009 in blue and 016 in purple, 009 being sound fitted. They're fantastic, although the speaker does vibrate a bit. 9 also had some glazing loose, which I had to disassemble the model to fix (a bit of a nightmare due to the chains needing removal), as well as then losing one of the tank things above the axles and one of the lamp irons during disassembly (easily refitted though). I should've ordered RSG too...
Must be the controller I'm using, but the sound didn't resume when my Alycidon had power loss, until I pressed a button on the controller to reactivate a function. And I tested haulage with my 16 IIA biomass wagons plus 14 bachmann mk1s, which Gordon Highlander managed with minimal slipping, even on the slight inclines of my layout. I also love how the tail markers are off by default, activated by another function other than f0.
Overall, 2 excellent additions to the Ashbrooke Central fleet. Just a shame that they arrived less than a month before Ashbrooke Central becomes disused...
These look fantastic, and I’d love to get one, as I’ve been looking for a Deltic. I did find a slightly older Bachmann one though online for a good price, are they any good?
55005 was withdrawn in February 1981 along with 55006 being well overdue an intermediate repair at Doncaster works. Meanwhile 55002 was chosen to go to NRM because of its Yorkshire name on withdrawal. In case anything happened to 55002 55005 was stored albeit outdoors in a dreadful state to replace it at NRM as it too had a Yorkshire name. So although 55005 was one of the first withdrawn it was second to last being scrapped 55004 was the last in July 1083. 55006 was scrapped almost immediately upon withdrawal 02/81

Excellent Deltic review. Although the locomotive detail could do with some realistic weathering.
Nice model thats obvious! The Deltic from accurascale looks to follow the bachmann Deltic in the fact the bogies seem to far from the chassis? Also the wheels seem small in comparison to the pictures of real locomotive?. The standing equipment chains are obviously far to long and i wonder if these should have been omitted? I dont own one but a friend has one and his came with a window badly fitted and a box full of broken parts from around the fuel tanks, plus a broken chain! Sadly he has to wait for a second batch as you stated the first run have sold out. Accurascale told him that the models will be packed different next time round as broken models have been a major concern!
I will go for one from batch two and opt for dc as i dont like the sound of the two stroke Deltic diesel engines personally! Nice review and 55005 looks like how i remember seeing them in the 70s although generally with domino code boxes.
Thanks Dave for a nice balanced review. Accurascale can be proud of what they have achieved. Looking forward to the 37s and 31s. Is F8 for loco brake or F13 for train brake just the sound or does it brake the loco like on some of the newer Bachmann and Legomanbiffo ESU V5 sound files?

Good question…I’ll test this. Bachmann brake is F2 or 3 on their latest models. It’s playable.

@@DeanPark that would be great if you could check. My locos with Biffo sounds coast for ages when you put the throttle back to zero, and you have to brake manually with F5- it’s immense fun compared to the „older“ sound files without this feature.
A superb unbiased opinion. .... Just one question at 8:05. I thought all Deltics came with double wiper blades on each of the four windscreens ? ..... Apparently not on the two blue versions - or was this an omission or just money saving on the last days of their lifespan. ... Thanks Mr Park.
Hi this was a variation on the real thing. One of these variations across the class of 22 locos I guess.
I bought one and it derailed with the stay alive driving it on and snapping off some bogie detail. Sounds amazing but I dint think it's tolerant of less than perfect track. I'm hoping that I can refit the detail and subsequent runs prove me wrong.
I had to return D9009 back to Rails due to a number of faults, 1x cab window fell out, and the usual chain faults, and parts missing, and vibrating speaker; but just these common issues, have just detracted from the excitement and enjoyment of what potentially is one of the best value 00 gauge models. Hopefully the after sales service will sort the faults and then I will be able to enjoy it.
That’s not good. Or acceptable. I was lucky with mine. But I have to admit, the chains are a frustration!
@@DeanPark Yes i think it is a little bit of a lottery at the moment and a lot of people are having issues unfortunately,
I've remapped my deltics but my drive lock also doesn't work can I still put these exact CVS in
Contact accurascale or roads and rails and ask that.
I don't understand how a small company is able to produce products of this quality at the price that they sell them for when other much larger companies can't or won't.
You hit the nail on the head…. Smaller! Less staff to pay, less overheads, no shareholders, no massive range to cater for a broad range of consumers. They can be leaner and more focussed.
Hornby supply everything from the toys starters to the high detail models, scenic materials, track, buildings etc etc. they have massive overheads and are a PLC.
This all has an impact on costs, that ultimately get pushed on to the consumer.

I know your a stickler for detail. When I watched your running session I noticed at 18:10 when the coaches were running through the point. It seemed to me it wasn't smooth. what I mean is, if there were passengers on that train they would have been thrown side to side from the sudden changes of tracks. Hope you see what I mean or made it was the camera angle. Maybe it's me but it just look quick.
Hi, that was me running at the ‘toy like speeds’ during the test. I always do that with my tests. No point in just testing a loco trundling around all the time.
As I look at your review I have just got an e mail from Hattons regarding new Dapol Class 68s for £135. So this is £160. Both a bargain so how on earth can Hornby and Bachmann justify their diesel prices for locos that are over 10 years old?.
Different businesses have different situations to consider and different expectations of profit different plans for different R&D projects at different paces built at different places with different warehousing distribution and other aspects.
Why does your mate Gav have a nicer house than you? Shouldn't we all have the same house with the same decor same everything? Why is a big mac priced differently to a whopper they are both "meat" in what might be considered bread.🤔
No need to ask if you're impressed then Dave? The only thing I wondered about was the font they've used for the D9000 number on RSG; it just looks a wee bit odd but it could be like that on the big one and I've just never noticed.

RSG has both 55022 and D9000 on it, just like the real thing bad in 1981.

No doubt that this model IS fantastic, but the price worries me. How on earth the hobby can build with these prices is beyond me. In my collection of N gauge locos I have 8x 9F locos all of which were either bought on web site or some in a bulk lot from DCC at a show as non runners or damaged. I fear this is the way OO will go in years to come with few people able to buy anything new. As a pensioner, every penny counts and if I wanted this loco I would have to save for a year to get it...sorry 3 years with the current fuel costs. I would love to hear a short video on your thoughts of where we will be in 5 or 10 years time in all gauges.
Despite this, one has to say your review as with all you do is superb Dave and I for one say thanks for your time and effort.

I actually paid up these three locos over many months (years) so was able to afford them. Accurascale allowed you to pay model up if they are pre orders.

Greetings from a new subscriber in AUS. Did the real Deltics blow as much smoke as the one in the video ? 😳. I prefer the painted detail bogies myself 👍
They could get pretty smokey depending on a number of factors before we even get to actual mechanical issues that need serious attention.
But then thats just the nature of the beast.
Hornby and Bchmann need to up there game, £160.00 for this model that blows away anything before.
I think if it was announced now it would be nearer £200-220. They held the price at 2019 levels, before things went crazy in the world.

It’s debated! I believe In preservation it was given a silver roof. But in 1981 it was in fact grey. I thought the same as you, but I’ve looked in to it and it was in fact Grey.

Ones that came in green this time will be blue then next time etc. and then there are the preserved ones! Again, with livery differences, new warning flashes and orange cantrail stripes etc. They’ll be at this model for a few years yet until all are done 😆

I think Accurascale have done a top job despite some problems which are apparent from the comments. My question is, how much would Hornby have charged for this with sound fitted and stay alive ? My guess £415. Any advance on that?
You likely wouldn't have waited about 4 years for it as they would have had more people working on it who they have to pay a wage to...
@@HamStrains err OK, but I’m not sure what your point is? It would have been cheaper or more expensive? Or just a shorter lead time? Personally I’d rather pay less and wait longer, or of course they could just delay announcing new models for a while.
@@dhdove the point is cost has a reason. Be that lead time, be that size of staff behind the model, be that liabilities the company has to cover.
Yet everyone seems shocked or dismayed to find out that hobbies cost money and take effort or that companies make model railways and expect to profit from it or charge enough to stay afloat.😅 it makes me laugh. But carry on good sir
@@HamStrains I really don’t want to make a meal out of this but you consistently avoid the question. I am aware of basic economics and am neither shocked nor dismayed at some prices charged, I just don’t pay them, nonetheless I still wonder how much Hornby would have charged for a similar model, irrespective of all the variables you quote. £200? 300? £400? More? Perhaps you could address this?
Hornby has done a great PR job over recent years with their TV show, but they are rapidly being left behind by some competitor brands. I really hope that they succeed but I suspect that their owners and shareholders are sucking profit (and investment) out of them.

Its entirely irrelevant what hornby would or could charge for a similar model, it doesn't need to be raised, it has no connection to anything. My question is why did you even feel the need to bring it up? It's a atrange thing to do.
Just to answer what i think they'd charge because its completely irrelevant I'll use a silly answer, £50,000.
So reading all the positive posts I think it’s not as perfect as people think I had D9010 green full yellow ends and BR arrows on arrival, like all who had been waiting for a number of years on opening the ( personal opinion over boxed and to much plastic packaging) box the disappointment unfolded bits in the box broken parts. So I contact accurascale prompt reply asking for photos of loose and broken parts so sent and get reply with photo and lots of arrows and wording telling me what the parts are and where they fit being told small amount of glue to reattach parts great when they are broken, so model has gone back and a refund requested, am I disappointed after all the hype in the press and from accurascale yes very much so do I think this is the perfect Deltic then NO having grown up on the East Coast Mainline and spent many happy years photographing and riding behind then do the cab windows look right then not sure. Pleased most people are happy with there models but everyone has their own opinion ( I am expecting a roasting ) will I be ordering anything else from accurascale then no pre orders cancelled money returned.
I completely understand your annoyance. I was disappointed by the glue on the lamp irons and parts in the box as I mentioned in my review.
There have been issues with paint finishes etc.
I suppose accurascale are at the mercy of the factories just like Bachmann.
@@DeanPark the most annoying thing is that there wagons are fantastic but the first locos to hit the shops big let down and it’s all down to quality control personally I would have wait a couple more weeks if the had checked them over just a thought
a fantastic model sadly let down by a poor speaker. i think that because i have been blessed with em2 speakers on my trains, nothing else somes close ?
I think these Deltics have an em1 in them. I like the sound, but as with everything….you get fed up with the sound after a while anyway and switch it off. :-)

You’ll not get any worthwhile new loco for £120 these days. This model (compared to
Other companies) is an absolute bargain at £160 non sound and £250 sound.
It’s all down to individual budgets. The fact that these models ALL sold out (in many cases before they arrived), and could in the case with some models, sold triple the number that were made, suggests to me that for a significant majority of OO gauge modelers, they are worth looking it.
