Baka Oppai Hahahahah yes! you are right. The song is japanese, and was made for children to learn English :) but, it is useful also for those who speak English and want to learn basic japanese too.

こんにちは is hello in Japanese. The は is the hiragana "ha" but when at the end of a word, it is pronounced as "wa".

    • @glistlo

it doesn't have to be at the end to make the wa sound

Konnichiwa is what you use to say hello when its afternoon. And wa is used as a particle and doesnt necessarily mean that it has to be at the end.

The only case when you can use "は" as "wa" is when used as a particle.

@Yuskuegirl こんにちは(今日は) - Hello (general) is broken down into its separate hiragana as こko んn にni ちchi はwa*
    correctly it's "konnichiwa"
koniichiwa こんいいちは is a mistype when wanting to spell konnichiwa. :)
*in konnichiwa the hiragana は(ha) is used instead of わ(wa). は(wa) is the general participle to denote the subject. It literally breaks down into "this day (today)" (I'm not going to go into detail about Japanese participles right now. It's mind numbing -_-)
