When this was first recommended to me I had no intention of learning Japanese, it’s now been recommended to me again and I’ve already memorized hiragana made Japanese friends and I’m slowly learning how to speak the language 😐
its amazing how the song actually sounds decent. the pauses almost sound intended because she picks up the tune back really quickly. heta? ya maji umai dakedo?!
First saw this vid around 3 years ago when I started studying Japanese. Now I’m living in Japan and can understand her intro at the beginning without looking at the subs. Thanks for the help when I was starting out!
Revisit this video after exact 10 years. I didn’t continue Japanese study but now I am re-continuing as a beginner so I watched this again. I love the song. Great to see you are living in Japan and study over there. ❤
Im currently trying to learn japanese and i feel so damn lucky to have chinese as my mother tongue so i can actually understand most of kanji (but i cant pronounce them though aghh)
@@dancingbanaenae2536 mann i wish i could understand kanji :'( my brain keeps messing up cuz i speak three more languages excluding japanese! Can you give me sum tips to memorize kanji :3?
この歌が好きですよ! (not sure how awkwardly worded that is) I'm still very much a beginner, started with hiragana which isn't so bad. I don't have as much practice with Katakana, but it's coming along. And kanji doesn't seem so bad once you get more exposure to it. It actually makes things easier in a weird way. So, my fellow beginners, keep at it! =)
What does that say? It says something about the song being good, I think. Dang it! Being Chinese makes it harder to learn the pronounciation of kanji. >.
Natsumi Ueda Here is a version without the confusment of kanji :p 「このうたがすきですよ!」 「kono uta ga suki desu yo!」 「I love this song!」 I know that it gets confusing and contradicting, but actually it's way easier for people who have chinese knowledge to learn kanji, although for some reason the ones i met always struggled with either hiragana or katakana which are way easier than kanji!
AnotherH8er I know this comment discussion is like, 2 months old, but I have a question which might be weird. I learnt Hiragana near the end of last year, and I know a few Katakana and Kanji, but I stopped 'learning' Japanese up until recently. I pretty much only managed to learn what the Hiragana sounds like, but not how to word a sentence or anything like that apart from a few nouns like 'egao' and 'mirai'. My problem is that I have trouble reading Hiragana sentences at a reasonable speed! It's like, I have to wait half a second between each Hiragana, then by the end of the sentence I manage to piece it together into a full sentence sometimes! Do you have any solutions on how to fix this issue? Or is it just a matter of reading more Hiragana in sentence form and eventually I'll get it? I don't know if you'll even have an answer for this, but thanks for reading it anyway!
TheDropdeadZed Same problem! I started relatively recently and haven't put a lot of time into it though so I think just more exposure and spending more time reading and watching other people read it out loud for you (watching videos etc.) will help a lot.
PengyGoy Haha, thanks! It's nice to know there are other people in the same boat! Would you say that songs could help? E.g., listening to the song while reading the lyrics as it's said in the song?
That's great. As I'm studying kana right now I was thinking it would be a lot easier if I had words that went with them instead of just reviewing flash cards.
Greetings from the future! This was one of the first videos I have ever watched about Japanese back when I was in high school. I am 25 now. Today I watched one of your recent videos and come back here to see if I still remember this sacred song :) I will be back 10 years later to see if I still remember this lol
I actually added this in my playlist for learning japanese, cause this was actually very interesting to watch! There were many words I still don't know, loved this😇
Being fluent means that you don't make awkward pauses as you speak and don't translate in your head, basically. She thinks of the words as she goes with the song and knows how to create a complete coherent sentences quickly. For me, that's what fluent means, so yeah, she is.
Plus she makes lots of pauses, and she couldn't think of words quickly rusuban denwa, answering machine! :p not trying to be mean, but you probably aren't studying japanese, or ur just a beginner!
shadowking bubba はじめまして! What resources are you using to learn Japanese? Also why the Romaji instead of ひらがな or カタカナ? Just general comprehension? I'm trying to learn Japanese myself. よろしくおねがいします
The download link in the video description only leads to a version without the opening and ending talk of her, but the parts of her thinking in between are still contained. I don't want to say that these parts are bad, they really fit into this video, but not into a song to listen to, wich I would like this to be.

この歌が好きですよ!
(not sure how awkwardly worded that is)
I'm still very much a beginner, started with hiragana which isn't so bad. I don't have as much practice with Katakana, but it's coming along. And kanji doesn't seem so bad once you get more exposure to it. It actually makes things easier in a weird way. So, my fellow beginners, keep at it! =)
What does that say? It says something about the song being good, I think. Dang it! Being Chinese makes it harder to learn the pronounciation of kanji. >.
Natsumi Ueda Here is a version without the confusment of kanji :p
「このうたがすきですよ!」
「kono uta ga suki desu yo!」
「I love this song!」
I know that it gets confusing and contradicting, but actually it's way easier for people who have chinese knowledge to learn kanji, although for some reason the ones i met always struggled with either hiragana or katakana which are way easier than kanji!
Oh my God, I wish I was so fluent like you are ;o
She is not fluent. She is really good, but not fluent.
Being fluent means that you don't make awkward pauses as you speak and don't translate in your head, basically. She thinks of the words as she goes with the song and knows how to create a complete coherent sentences quickly. For me, that's what fluent means, so yeah, she is.
She's actually far from fluent, I could do this if I wanted! And my vocabulary is only a bit above intermediate.
Plus she makes lots of pauses, and she couldn't think of words quickly rusuban denwa, answering machine! :p not trying to be mean, but you probably aren't studying japanese, or ur just a beginner!

I believe it is in the video description
The download link in the video description only leads to a version without the opening and ending talk of her, but the parts of her thinking in between are still contained. I don't want to say that these parts are bad, they really fit into this video, but not into a song to listen to, wich I would like this to be.
Felix M. Geerken i feel like its more fun with the interruptions. My option though
Jenelle Khalaily
Yes, it is. I just would like to have a second version as a song not as an entertainment video.
I was so stressed when she was stuck at 'Ri' and when she said Ringo and smiled I was literally so happy . Btw love your song ❤
