"I know his daughter" is not the solid argument that Sunny thought it was. I know the daughter of a Physics Professor, it doesn't mean that I'm good at Physics.
I was hoping to find this comment. Not only that, but even *being* the daughter of someone doesn't *actually* give one the authority to speak *for* them.
The "I have a Black friend" argument of...well, "I have a Black friend" arguments 🤣
If I must say so myself that comment sunny made has the heavy energy of "my best friends black" or "my grandchild is black" lol
I laughed when she said that. 😂
I laughed when she said that. 😂
Sunny is so condescending and obnoxious, kudos to Coleman for staying so articulate and cool!
When she came at him and said "People think you have been coopted by the Right", he should have responded "That's a common error in thinking", and then schooled her.
She’s basically calling him a word that I won’t use. A common tactic of the left whenever a black person disagrees at all with the race cult
More than that, she's an embarrassment to herself and our people honestly. A literal walking stereotype.
I think anyone can do better than these birds.
Yes she is very obnoxious...
Wish more people would actually think and remove emotion from debates. This gentleman nailed it. Bravo.
Yes indeed bravo 👌👏..
Issues that affect our lives will ALWAYS be emotional
The very definition of the word & concept of debate. It's almost a lost art, the art of debate... reserved for those with a handle on (or interest in), Emotional Intelligence. Happy to learn of Coleman Hughes, via your broadcast. Truly, I thank you. Good work!
Very emotional people
I'm going to have to look him up now because I've never heard of him before! But in my opinion, this young man shut them down better than anyone else could have 👏👏
So basically, she was under the impression he was conservative. That made her think she was above him and more educated than him.
Her constant use of fallacy shows her level of education. Either she knows she's acting in bad faith, or her legal education is very low quality.
I'm glad The View had this guy on. This is precisely the audience who needs to hear these things.
Agreed.
So true
Exactly!
And is it me or has their audience shrank?
I love watching people who THINK they're smart, being calmly and systematically dismantled by someone who actually IS smart.
But cloudy is to dumb to know when she loses . Why would you even mention MLK.JR. daughter as part of why your right 🤣🤣🤣
Really they're all just basic.
He needs to run for office!
I hope you’re defending Coleman😮 with this statement 😊

5 minutes into this video, I realized how brilliant this guy is! Powerful statement, no doubt. He is absolutely incredible and inspiring!
Coleman such a smart Brother… GOD BLESS!! Keep doing what you do!!!
No he's not! You are focus because he's saying what you want to here!
this is a smart democrat!
Coleman is a saint. He is a true display of how hard it is to stay true to your own ideas and not drinking the kool aid..People will just bash you from every angle...
Intelligent young people like this give me hope for the nation's future.
I agree. Amala is not only intelligent, but she has an emotional maturity that serves her well.
Coleman and Amala are very intelligent young people and insightful
In Physics an elephant and a fly hit each other with the SAME force at the point of impact. A Black person with NO POWER should be arguing that WE(!?!?!?) should be arguing for a classless society that lifts all? Jews don't want society that doesn't address Israel.....gays don't want a society that doesn't address their concerns. Everyone wants their specific needs addressed. The three(3) Blacks who whites have ALLOWED to make it should not be concerned about the other Blacks who have not been allowed to make it??? The whole purpose and stated context for America was to have a"free nation" of Judeo-Christian white RICH MALES. Their wealth would be acquired through using those who were not human because of their race. Professor Andrew Hacker said WE WHITES ALLOW some Blacks to make it AND WE are VERY CAREFUL about the numbers. Before his death(murder)Dr King was going to lead the MOSTLY BLACK sanitation workers to DC for a CHECK(Reparations). Dr King told Elijah Muhammad that he could see the need for a temporary separation of the races. Dr King told Harry Belafonte that he feared he might be integrating Blacks into a burning house.
Intelligent means the ability to learn. Coleman has learned nothing about Black white relations in America and the world. Bible: Babylon could have been saved BUT she was not!!! Islam comes after all else fails.
EXACTLY
You totally won my intellectual respect when you observed and articulated that there are “ several different games being played in the conversation” !!!!!!!! Girl you got it going on !!! Love from New Orleans !!!
Impressive!!!!!
Young and wise!!!
Her own co-hosts are telling her she’s wrong about being a conservative and he himself is saying he is not, but to just ignores them because she can’t stand not being right.
Sonny relies on bad faith argumentation in every discussion I've ever seen involving her. She's a fallacy machine.
Coleman was prepared. He's intellectually leaps and bounds ahead of them.
Amala I am so impressed by your comments and Coleman! Coleman is well spoken and does an excellent job standing up for what he believes in and I applaud him for writing his book and speaking out. These women hate conservatives, love racism and keeping people in the victim mode, and they want to keep it going because it’s a big part of their show. Amala, you are so right about games being played! This very articulate and intelligent young man is a breath of fresh air and so are you! Thank you! 👏👏
👏👏👏👏👌 bravo 🎉.

“If I’m being honest with you” is a phrase reserved for those who frequently are not being honest with you.
Or about to virtue signal with a statement that is clearly either subjective, or objectively incorrect as you say. Great point.
I KNOOOOWWWW! I wish he would have said; "here comes a lie", out loud instead of just thinking it!!!
When I say, "to be honest" it is preceding something that people don't want to hear. "To be honest, I don't think affirmative action actually works, because..."
@@kelsijodryer6348 choosing to open your statement with “I’m not lying” which is the same thing as saying I’m being honest with you” leaves one wondering if everything that person has said up until now, when they just chose to declare they are being honest, has been a lie. “I know you don’t want to hear this” would be the way to open, if you’re telling the truth.

I adore Coleman. He is such a bright light in this world and, to me, he represents that path we should be going on as a nation-the path of kindness, nuance, and rejection of double standards 🌌🌠
This young man is so eloquent and concise, bravo!
I am so glad you did this video. We need to listen to more smart youngsters like yourself and like this young man.
He is so calm and collected. The way he was able to articulate his argument in a gentle manner is so impressive. It makes me want to read his book!
It's crazy how she made it obvious that she was already biased against him from the beginning because she thinks he's conservative!
Shows how close minded she is.
Exactly! It shows she isn’t looking for the truth, that she is actually just looking to push her narrative.
Yeah and then immediately backs off the accusation 'well yeah its not ME that's saying that its everyone else, I just wanted to give you an opportunity to respond'. What a coward.
@NuclearT3acup she wasn't listening to anything he said. She was just trying to get a gotcha moment on him. Pathetic.
And that's how they (all of them) treat every guest that is at all "conservative".. Whoopi is the worst of 'em though.. absolute disrespectful, unprofessional moron.

Sunny has her in chains just like her ancestors
That might’ve been relevant if MLK taught Bernice his entire philosophy before he died or something but she was 5 years old when he was killed so I’m gonna go with he probly didnt
Ya well I understand what I read 😂 & " right before he got shot he changed his mind " , he just didn't write it down for a speech or anything .
I did notice the crowd clap. But if you listen, the louder claps came for Coleman Hughes and what he had to say. And Sunny Hostin is SOOOOOOO agitating with her wanna be gotcha moments, passive aggressive attitude and personal attacks. She really is a terrible person.
Yes, Sunny Hostin is a terrible person, and she hides behind "I am a Christian, I am Catholic ". I do not watch THE VIEW anymore, only parts on RUclips when people are calling them out for their racism, ignorance and stupidity.
I’d also guess that while there may have been legitimate claps for Sunny’s statement… there was probably an “Applause” Sign flashing in front of the audience telling them to clap for her.
The applause for Coleman seemed genuine because there’s no way a liberal show would tell the audience to clap for his statements.
I’m a Hispanic woman and this is the first time I watch your show… I am so amazed about Coleman’s comeback responses to sunny. He is truly a very intelligent young man as well as an awoke man speaking from his spirit (consciousness) not his flesh(mind)and you my dear Amala I am so proud of the wisdom and calmness you speak with. Love you both❤ People have to wake up! and I believe you Amala and Coléman are vessels God is using at this time to bring peace and change with wisdom❤

@@GhostSalWell said !!

@@GhostSalWELL SAID
I just made a comment earlier. I’m the 63-year-old white man. I grew up doing jobs that are not available today to me. America has decided they want to reduce emissions and the fingerprint of greenhouse gases or whatever you wanna call it so they shipped all our jobs to other countries. All those countries are doing exactly what we would be doing so we’re not reducing any kind of omissions. All we’ve done is let other people do our jobs and state that we’re green somehow, we’re doing better for the world when all we’ve done is let other countries take over those jobs and factories and emissions are still the same as they were in America. I’m not very articulate but it’s just so frustrating. The world that we’re living in today when people keep trying to put us against each other.
I’m GenX, and I like to also think of us as the ‘Sesame Street’ generation. We were taught to be colorblind, that race doesn’t matter, that we are all human. What happened? I miss the 80s and 90s!
True. We were becoming united as a people.
They want to guilt trip Whites so that Whites turn over their assets to them.
I don't understand. We grown up learning that "we shouldn't judge people based on labels". And here we are, with people everywhere telling us to judge people by their characteristics.
Same here. Terrifying, isn't it?
Same. We were the lucky ones.
Sunni Hostin is obsessed with race. She will never, ever change. I was born, raised and still live in Appalachia. More specifically, West Virginia. West Virginia has a predominantly white population yet is always counted as one of the poorest states, with only Mississippi below us at last place on the poverty scale. Extremely wealthy Sunni Hostin never considers Appalachia, which has always been the poorest region in the nation for many decades. Are our white children not entitled to the same assistance as children of color? I have no argument that black and Hispanic children who live in impoverished neighborhoods in the inner cities need assistance, but why do Sunni Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg discount poor white people? I think Coleman is brilliant and though he is a Democrat and I'm sure I would disagree with some of his views, he is spot on regarding the race issue. Coleman is brilliant and handed Sunni Hostin her a** in a calm, concise and beautiful way! I want to read this young man's book!
You said that VERY well. They only think of themselves yet TRY to bring their opinions across as caring and as if their opinion encompasses the opinions of EVERYONE. Such a sad group.....with their biases.
I'm from the rolling hills of Appalachia in North Carolina and we had a lot of diversity in socioeconomic status, unemployment, and education. I've seen families so poor that they didn't have running water or bathrooms in their homes, and a lot of times they wouldn't have anything to eat. Most were too proud to ask for government assistance. I worked 2 jobs and my husband worked 3 jobs for several years to provide for our children and we both have college degrees. I worked on food drives, soup kitchens, and clothing drives for the poverty stricken families and we still donate money, food, and clothes because that's what Christians do. I know where you come from and I know what it's like to be broke, to lose everything you've worked so hard for because of factory closures and businesses going bankrupt. We have to stay united and strong for our communities regardless of what race or ethnicity we are.🥰🙏 I hate the view and what it stands for.😡
@@carolb3774Beautifully written and very true.

Because she is all about reparations depending on skin colour whilst her family literally owned slaves and moved to the US because they didn't want to give them up.
You hit the nail on the head,”she is listening to respond, not understand”
As a kid, I played with white kids who were way worse off than my family was. Disparity is disparity, regardless of race. Coleman is making a lot of sense. It's sad because I worked with a white woman who was a single mom and her dad was giving her a hard time because she had signed up for welfare. It stressed her out, hearing her dad's point of view when it came to welfare and struggling to feed her children. She would cry in the break room about it. If you need help, you need help.
@ashleyvaughn5213 you are right about this. I had very similar experience with someone who needed help but her well off parents didn't want her seeking help. But refused to help her too. She was belittled for even getting medicaid.

I don't know what part of the US you live in, but the people in our small town in the rolling hills of North Carolina are very diverse in race and socioeconomic status. We have some of the poorest people in the country in our Appalachian mountains and our rolling hills (begins at the mountains of Mississippi and goes to the mountains of New York). A lot of people in this region don't have running water or bathrooms in their dilapidated and roach filled homes and most of them are uneducated and white. Please take a trip to the Appalachian mountains (especially in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi)
where unemployment averages 15.7% and the average household income is less than $20,000 a year. Compared that to the next highest unemployment rate of 5.3% in Nevada, and you get a great disparity of over 9%. The average poverty rate in the Appalachians is 14.7%, with West Virginia being the highest at 22.2% and the next highest is Mississippi at 19.7%. The graduation rate in the Appalachians ranges from the lowest 58.2% to 86.4% with the lowest being in West Virginia. So before you start criticizing people's grammar and their facts, do some fact checking yourself, and I do mean go check it out yourself instead of googling it.

"It's the North Star" Oh my gosh, that is an amazing way to frame these conversations! A real one of those "why didn't I think of that?" Mr. Hughes, I will be quoting you non-stop, all the way from South Africa.
Ultimately, and you see this time and time again, the left, for all their utopian vision of a 'just' society, don't actually believe in ideals, or 'north stars'. They think if a person is not already the embodiment of that north star, then there is no north star, just hypocrisy. Jefferson believed 'all men are created equal' and he owned slaves. The latter fact is brought out to discredit the aspiration for America to achieve its ideal. The reality is used to destroy the dream, so now it is said America was founded on racism, it still is racist, and that cannot change. Progress is denied. Aspirations, dreams, like MLK's are nonsense. It's actually religious thinking, as in believing in 'original sin', the leftist version.

His policies are designed to help everyone in the nation, but they have been twisted by a propaganda media to the point that half of the nation misunderstands and even, yes, hates him. Think on what you said about the Police Brutality thing. Same thing is applied to President Trump. Thanks for your awesome podcast.
"I wanted to give you the opportunity to respond.. " as she's talking over his response.
Since Sunny’s ancestors was the slaveholder, she has to be liable to pay reparations.
Indeed.
Only for other people Sunny is to good for that 😅
She's gotta pay her own reparations hahaha
You should have Coleman on the show and ask him about his experience. He appears genuinely thoughtful on these subjects.
Wow.. I am extremely impressed. Very well said.. very intelligent.. thank you for the help up-lifting my faith in humanity. A very pretty very smart woman. I will be reccommending this video to everyone on my podcast. Excellent..
Just another example of Whoopi Goldberg being out of touch.
She talked about her personal experiences. How is that being out of touch?
@@bxi1547Because she’s conflating her selective experiences and a much broader discussion and issue.
@bxi1547 because its from a completely different era she still thinks like it's back in the 60s
@@Based_Is_Best No she has a certain perspective being from a different generation and that’s all she was expressing. I don’t know why you white people have the most to say on these issues considering you can’t relate.
@@bxi1547She's out of touch because she still looks through the glasses of 1960. She needs to take off that shackles and start living in 2024. She's embarrassing. This comes from a woman growing up in an Apartheid South Africa.
Just because she had to reread the same page twice, because she didn’t take it in the first time, doesn’t mean she read the book twice….
I say this as a white woman. The world should be colour blind for one simple reason and that is this: Poverty doesn’t discriminate.
And because poverty doesn’t discriminate we shouldn’t place the poverty of black or Hispanic people over the poverty of other ethnicities.
What is the pertinence that Sunny knows Dr.King's daughter other than to try to boost the creditibility of her ignorance? Children definitely are not their parents.
Also even if MLK was for a bad idea that wouldn't make it a good idea...
Yes! That was a laughable moment. Especially given that She was too young to even understand. I’m glad he responded kindly to Sunny because she really was trying to push his buttons.
@@CoffeeCrazy - She leaned into him and touched his arm, which seemed like an aggressive, condescending move, not one of gentle affection.
@rickybobbytexas3487 - It seems more like Sunny doing some narcissistic name-dropping to silence Coleman rather than doing some fact-checking of King's actual writings.
@@machtnichtsseimann I think you miss understood. I said HE
I just discovered you, what an intelligent young lady you are!❤❤❤ I'm subscribing to your channel!!!😊😊😊
The fact people want to be victimized by the color of their skin is just sad.
These people know that victimhood = power in this time of day. It’s evil. Chris rock pointed it out.
The fact that people ARE being victimized cause of their skin is worse.
Until they actually will be victimized
@@alunus7069 Who is victimizing people based on race in 2024 in America??
Up to 90% of indigenous people were wiped out by war and (mostly) disease. By their logic America owes a hell of a lot more to them. But none of them actually care enough to talk about it. Just me me me me
"I know his daughter" is equivalent to "I have a *insert race here* friend, I'm not racist."
That was exactly my thought! It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me when I hear a white person make the comment “my black friend” or “I have Hispanic friend”!
@@deeminor522oh get over yourself!
I don't agree with Sunny's argument but I've never heard of a racist person with Black and Hispanic friends so there's that it's kind of like saying the proud boys are racist when they were started by a guy named Enrique Tario and the majority of their charters are made up of black and brown people
That insinuation that he was paid (by Trump?) to write the book made me laugh. Yeah, like those bitter old hens aren't paid to push a sociopolitical narrative. Seriously...
I am so impressed with you. Beautiful and very intelligent. Great videos. Its refreshing to see a young person so involved and knowledgable.
I'm just seeing this Coleman guy and he is awesome.
Americans with working brains all feel like Coleman.
Focusing on socioeconomics would serve all who need it…it’s less divisive. The problem is there are many who WANT to be divisive.
Thank you for this
You are such an intelligent and articulate young woman. Just wanted to send you a high five. Keep shining. ❤
We need more people like him.Amala love you showing up for him🎉
They really took him there to try to disproven/invalidate his opinions, while trying to make it seem like the show is open minded, but they failed miserly in both ends lol He destroyed them just by not letting them murk the discussion at hand with nonsensical accusations and keeping his thoughts and facts straight forward. That guy looks like a very level headed and smart af man. Good for him!
Thanks for educating us 😊
