Indeed... I was born in 1980 and so I was watching these movies during my early 20's, very formative years in my life. I enjoy them immensely, not least because of the music. It must take perhaps more talent than you would think to find songs to match a particular scene in a movie, but I think they did very well with this one, as they did with the soundtracks to at least the main films, 1-3 plus reunion. Boy songs, girl songs... A good song is a good song, and this definitely qualifies. People look at me and assume I'm only into metal all the time, but I have a massive appreciation for many kinds of pop music. It's funny to see you mention MLTR because they're from Denmark (just like me) and they were absolutely massive for a few years but didn't really break through in a big way anywhere else, except for a few Asian countries. But they're another example of a band that's "for girls", but some of their melodies are just indeniably well written.
