As usual, I have learned so much from this video. Things I hadn't thought about. Cabins should be a peaceful sanctuary. A place to retreat to after the noise and crowds of the parties and bars. I sometimes suffer from migraines and need quiet to recover. We live in an apartment and are always very mindful of neighbours but people who live in houses or large properties need to modify their behaviour on a cruise ship.
On a 14Day New Zealand cruise on Royal Caribbean Radiance our neighbours broke so many of those rules, as they thought because they had been on the ship since it repositioned from America to Australia then stayed on board to cruise the, South pacific then our cruise they thought they could do what they wanted. They would leave there balcony light on all night with the door and curtains open, TV on loud all night talk loud and were both nudist and always on there balcony. When asked if they could turn off the balcony light and close there curtains we were told no as they like to sleep with the light and TV on and the door open so they could hear and smell the ocean.
Wow we didn't know on the pacific adventure that there was a light on the balcony. We will have to see if we can find where it is on our quantum cruise next year :)
The more cruising videos I watch the more i want to go on a cruise right now hehe Dec is so far away, I want to cruise tomorrow hehe it'd be so nice to go on one before I have my operation to remove my cancer, if I win lotto on Thur I'm def booking one :)
Definitely agree with not throwing food off the balcony, the last morning of a cruise I got up to watch the sunrise and not watching where I put my feet I proceeded to stand on pizza which I assume came from another balcony.
Hi Serena. OMG that is so gross. Why would anyone do that. On the plus side, at least it stayed on the ship and not in the ocean. Seriously thou people should be more thoughtful.
Funny story. Had a balcony on Quantum of the seas on level 12 right next to the side bridge wings. We got back from a port stop to find a pair of ladies knickers on one of our chairs. We knew never to dry your washing on the balcony as we were right next door to the crew accommodation near the front of the ship and were in clear view of the captain when the ship left port , so didn’t even try. Anyway we immediately tossed them in the bin . A few days later we met our cabin neighbours in the corridor, who asked about the knickers - were they ours ? - as they initially landed on their balcony and thought they were ours , and just popped them over the divider . Informed them they weren’t, someone was drying their washing on their balcony and lost the lot apparently in the wind. Someone also tied an Aussie flag to their balcony. Security asked them to remove the flag immediately. We saw it when we returned to the Portside - it did look tacky. Yay for being patriotic but it looked like a rub in the face for the locals.
Yes good points for those who don't know the rules. It is all about following the rules of the ship, safety, & consideration for everyone around you, just do the right thing & every person is happy. ❤️🚢❤️🚢❤️
You both are so lovely ...great info ..going on our first cruise in a months time ..bit nervous 😮

Thanks Kim, had a chuckle over that story. As for the flag, yeah, not something we would do.

What type of doggy do you have?
As a naturist, I am disappointed to hear that I will not be able to sit naked on my balconey
