    Too bad everyone is losing their sense of humor. ETOPS is a great (yet truthful) acronym.

    I have looked everywhere for a flight planning tutorial like this and until you made this, there was no basic instructions on making flight plans using simbrief that I could find! Thanks again!

    Extremely detailed and a gold mine of info I either ignored or took for granted. Thx for producing this video I’ve not come across anything on YT that comes close to this level of detail and RL knowledge. I’m sure I will be watching this many times it’s a lot to take in and am sure will be extremely well rxd by the community

    One of THE MOST informative and educational YT. The amount of detailed information and explanation available here is hardly seen anywhere else. I watched it 2x and am still learning and
    will save it for future reference.
    Thank you so much for providing such informative videos.

    I don't really understand the difference between entry/exit and alternate airports. Why were you able to keep BIKF as entry airport even though it was below minima?

    Another great show I always learn so much from your videos the sound of your voice definitely promotes a command for someone to listen and thoroughly understand what you are saying outstanding job.
    Any news on PMGD 737 if they may be in the works to show weather radar on the flight display.

    Hi Emanuel, as always great content! Quick question on the ETOPS entry point, I noticed you left it as BIKF even though you selected EINN as one of your suitable alternates, was that by design or should that also be changed back to Shannon or maybe EIKN? Or is it ok because BIKF 1h ring overlaps with the BIKF 1h ring?

    Hi Emanuel, once again great explanation👍🏻
    First of all, thank you very much for your great videos🙏🏻 I try to fly in the SIM as realistically as possible and that's why you are number 1 for me as a real pilot. I'm really looking forward to the A320 from Ini and your review was very good promising. Finally a good Airbus for the Xbox. Are you planning to do a detailed tutorial on how all the processes work in the Airbus like you did with the 737? That would be really great for me and probably for many others too. Many greetings from Germany

      First of all: Thank you very much!
      Yes, I plan such a tutorial. I'll probably use the Fenix or ToLiss Airbus for it, instead of the ini, but things will be similar.

      @@A330Driver Thank you very much🙏🏻 At the moment I fly the A330 from LVFR a lot. It doesn't have that much system depth (yet), but I'm having a lot of fun with it. But it should also get an Avionic update and thus more functions in the MCDU. So I'm looking forward to your tutorial about the A320, keep it up and always happy landing😊

    Nice Video. But still I wonder how flights fly multiple sectors a day, especially regarding the fuel planning. When refueling at every airport is not possible. How pilots plan their fuel in such cases? Do they carry fuel for their further sectors as well until they reach refueling airport? Don't they get overweight issues? Please explain!

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  10 месяцев назад +1

      Tankering fuel will be included in the flightplan. And if weight issues come up the payload needs to be reduced or perhabs trip fuel of the last flight can be reduced by making an additional fuel stop.

    Hi Emanuel,
    Maybe I missed something, but if BIKF is below minimums for diversion, why is it still used as the entry point for ETOPS?

    Thanks for the video! Just curious as a real world pilot, how much of this do you actually do (i.e. would most airlines have a planning staff that takes care of this work before you arrive for the flight)?

      Nothing, the airlines dispatch creates the flight plan.

    Can you explain why there's a difference between call sign and flight number? Why doesn't ATC just use DLH442 as the callsign?

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  10 месяцев назад +3

      The Callsign is used for identifying the flight to ATC, the Flight Number is what's used for passengers and pretty much anything associated with ground ops (like catering, clearning, airport related things, etc.).
      ATC communication would be done as "Lufthansa 3 Victor" while passengers know the flight as "Lufthansa442".

    • @lordmashie
      @lordmashie 10 месяцев назад +4

      Some quick Googling tells me it's to avoid confusion between similar flight numbers thought there's probably other reasons

  • @travelcaribbean2009
    @travelcaribbean2009 10 месяцев назад

    So with the call sign and flight number, when I’m in the sim putting in custom registration and stuff like that in the sim, would I put Lufthansa 442 or Lufthansa 3V? Thanks for all you do Emanuel! I got the PMDG 737 back in Oct. and I couldn’t get that thing running if my life depended on it, now after watching you videos on it, i can go from the gate to runway in like 25, 30 minutes, thanks for everything! 😊

    Hi! Thank you for the guide.
    What happens in real life if the atc rejects clearance for the cross Atlantic custom route ? Is it possible or the plan will be negotiated with atc upfront before the pilot request’s clearance?

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  10 месяцев назад +1

      ATC can change your route at any time, that would be an in flight reclearance. The A330 got the ability to print a new flight plan based on FMS calculations once the new route is entered. Not sure if Boeings can do the same.

      If you have addons in the sim. try with an empty community folder and try a long flight to see if any of those are causing issues.
