I have two things I’d like to see in further videos which are flight planning to take advantage of/avoid jet streams and winds. Simbrief’s routing doesn’t take into account the winds when the flight happens (with regard to lateral routing-it does with vertical), dispatchers frequently change their routing to either fly with or avoid the jet stream. How would one do that without actually studying all the winds and making a ton of routes and comparing them? The second thing is when you can use random routes rather than the NATTRACKS, I’ve read that your flight plans are more prone to delays/getting rerouted if you don’t use the nattracks and instead create a random route, so what considerations are there to decide whether or not to use them?

Very interesting. That thing you said at the end....did I hear correct that you can sometimes use up alternate airport fuel as you get close to the destination? That sounds dangerous to me. What happens if your intended airport suddenly gets unexpected extreme weather, or closes due to an emergency and then you have to divert at the last minute?
Yes, you can. Of course you wouldn't do it when extreme weather is forecast and you also wouldn't do it on a single runway airport. But take airports like Chicago, or Frankfurt with several landing runways in good weather conditions and then ask: Why not?
Hey, I‘ve an issue. Maybe you or somebody else can help. When I create a Route with simbrief, I always have flightsteps. For example: from waypoint A to waypoint B the Altitude is FL300. From B to C the FL is 28. and then the next FL from C to D is 330. I try to put in all the FL‘s from simbrief into the FMC, but FMC always say „ALT CONSTRAINT C“. „C“ is the imaginary waypoint from my example. So the fmc don‘t allow me to climb again after descent from B to C. Why?😢
Hello, Can I recommend you to use PFPX for route with minimum fuel calculation and of course IFPS for Eurocontrol flight plan validation for more realism ?
Hi, while PFPX does offer some more features than simBrief, I really do not see the need to pay that extra money. SimBrief provides highly accurate flight plans by now and includes most features one could wish for. Unless you are a certified dispatcher or airline pilot and really know what to do with all those extra features, I do not see much sense in using PFPX over simBrief. Emi can we please get a flight video of you having an “unexpected” incident in which you have to divert? This way you can show us what a diversion looks like My favorite scenario, taken from AirForceProud95, is in which a passenger drops his phone into the toilet, sticks his hand in to grab, accidentally clicks flush, and then his arm is now stuck in the toilet. 😅 You can use whatever scenario you want, however lol 😂
@@GodfatherCZ1 You can do just fine without current navdata, simply tell ATC if you are unable to fly a procedure. Updating your AIRAC is *not* a requirement to fly online, though many controllers frame it differently. Unable for a procedure? Radar Vectors. In many cases you can also get current charts for free (all of the US and EU and many more places!), you can use those to compare what your FMC has with what it should be and might be able to fly many procedures nontheless.
Boings fly generally more efficiently at higher speeds with around 60-80 being prime for the 787/777 saving round 12-16mins on a 7 hour flight and using 200kg less fuel than CI of 30. Boeigs like to fly fast they are not Buses...😂😂
To be honest, making journalists wait an extra 20 minutes is probably not worth the extra two tonnes of fuel. They'll probably use the extra time interviewing people or practising their camera shots on preceeding aircraft.
There's a couple of airlines who use the 777 on short to medium haul as well. Turkish flies many short hauls with it, such as Istanbul to Antalya, Izmir or Athens. Emirates, American, United, Singapore and many Chinese carriers also use it on short to medium haul routes. But of course, if you're a pure short haul guy, the 737 will be better for you.

Can I land this at Lukla ?
Should work - if you don't bounce
With Max Autobreak no problem 😂
@@madsib5187 The challenge is to flare at the right point - it's a huge aircraft and the gear is far below you, especially at high pitch angles. It's very easy either to land long, or to crash the gear into the wall in front of the runway. Don't ask me how I know... LOL
Emi can we please get a flight video of you having an “unexpected” incident in which you have to divert? This way you can show us what a diversion looks like
My favorite scenario, taken from AirForceProud95, is in which a passenger drops his phone into the toilet, sticks his hand in to grab, accidentally clicks flush, and then his arm is now stuck in the toilet. 😅
You can use whatever scenario you want, however lol 😂
No problem at all to do long gaul witm pmdg, turn on pause on god and you Are good, then you can fly long Haug on 6h or 14h
This is pay version navigraph
simbrief is free, only the chart overlay needs a paid subscription.
@@A330Driverok thank you have a nice day.😊
@@A330Driver Well not really , you have to pay Navigraph sub for AIRAC data . Not an issue for offline flying , but for online kinda necessary .
I never do longhaul flights so buying the 777 would be stupid and waste of money. I'd rather further learn how to maintain PMDG's 737
Or you could just go to Flight Aware and pick a route .
Flight Aware only shows current rountes though, doens't it? No historical events like a delivery flight, right?
@@A330Driver Yes you are right about this, btw your video was super helpful and instructional as always.
@@mannyrivera6990 Thank you very much!
How about VATSIM clearance for this flight? :D
