Deep Purple had so many great musicians play in the band over the years, from Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Tommy Bolin, and the list goes on. I saw Deep Purple twice back in the '70's and '80's with different lineups and they rocked regardless of who was in the band at the time. 🔥💯👍🤘✌️

Ritchie Blackmore was one of my biggest influences. I remember trying to learn this solo when I was 13, I was determined to learn it. Blackmore ruled the 70's You guys ought to check out Rainbow Long Live Rock n Roll or any track from that album. If you want more Purple, try Perfect Strangers (Their reunion album in 1982)

I am a big horse racing fan and in recent years there was a horse racing in New York by the name Highway Star and he was fast and won his share of races. I had to wager on him. Made in Japan is a 3 concert live album. Many DP fans I know consider it their best recording. Strangely the same goes for the Scorpions' Tokio Tapes. Japan seems to have been a good place for rock bands to record live albums in the 70s...
Oh man Scorpions live tapes is great. SCORPS in general are great 70s band. Same with priest. Live in the east. Lets be real most these japanese live albums are doctored up n not all completely live except DP. But still great.
Absolutely love this. If this song was twenty minutes long it would still be too short. An outstanding performance by great musicians still in their prime. I especially liked seeing Mr. Blackmore carefully watching the other band members whilst still appearing cool and mysterious. A wonderful reaction vid guys. Best wishes. james:)

Other tracks by them to check out are Black Night and Strange Kind Of Woman - the live versions from Made In Japan are the ones to go for. Woman From Tokyo is also great as is one of the best slow songs ever - When A Blind Man Cries which has some really superb guitar work by Ritchie Blackmore on it

What a great song! So much energy and so catchy...and those screams! I'm sure they were a great influence on the metal screamers that followed in the 80's. I learned this the hard way. Just my luck that the cop was a Country music fan that didn't care for rock music, so he could not understand my reasoning for doing 90 in a 75..
