I really wish they kept one single guardian somewhere in totk. Maybe in the depths. Walking around in a dark area believing they aren’t in the game, and then suddenly hearing this again out of nowhere would be horrifying
You sir, have conceived an idea so good yet so evil, and I applaud you for that

Oh that is nightmare fuel
The one time I was trying to sleep on a summer night so I had no shirt on, and a spider crawled up my back. At first I thought it was just a random tingle, like I was imagining it, but then I looked over my shoulder. I screamed silently while flicking it off. I trapped it in a container and let it outside the next morning. It was a nightmare

The repeated rising notes at the beginning were psychologically engineered to give out anxiety like a teacher giving out tests

GOD DAMN IT WHY DOES THIS FEED ME IDEAS
I adore this theme for how perfectly designed it is at conveying the Guardians' nature. It has those robotic beeps and boops, but the instruments used sound appropriate for the elegant Shiekah technology, and all the while the song oozes menace and anxiety
@@EmperorZ19agreed! This is a perfect musical capsulation of facing a Guardian. And it trades certain musical standards and tradition for an immersive battle experience
Ive always loved these guys. They never scared me in anyway shape or form. Everytime I come across them, I would just look in awe. They were so cute, like lil robo-tea pots. I was so devastated that they got replaced by a bunch of Zonai devices and a bunch of freaky hands :(.

After replaying botw right before totk, I think I counted 5 times where I saw the red dot on me without the music playing and immediately started hearing the song by Ylvis Pelvis: ‘you’re f--ed’
It’s great character development when at first people fear this theme, but later on they look forward to it.
Its like a main character arc for everyone, you can get over the initial fear, but the theme still instills a gut fight or flight response either way.

Just like the songs you can play in ocarina of time

In all my time of playing Breath of the Wild, I have NEVER heard this part of the track! Probably because my Guardian fights never lasted this long, or I was too busy fighting to notice. This game still has secrets even after 5 years and it blows my mind.

It would've been fantastic if there was like.. one or two guardians hiding somewhere in TotK, to catch you off guard with this devilish piano, thinking you'd never hear it again.
Wouldn't it be great if the game got an unannounced update and people were like "why is my game updating?" And at some point they find a new, hard-to-find ruin with some rusty looking guardians which are still fully functional and mobile but only wake upon approaching them.
I didn't get the terror at first. Like yeah it's sort of a jump scare but I always saw them first so it wasn't a big deal. Then one day I was climbing up a mountain, the ambient music hadn't kicked in for a minute and it was great. As for link, he can't heal or throw anything in the second round, as well as having half his hearts taken away. And for the finishing touches make the sound track just screaming with this kind of music in the background. You know what, make it even worse and put hylians up on crucifixes while you fight it.. And when you beat it the hylians drop to the floor already dead and you get a specific cutscene telling you that your next before eventually a dragon comes out and impales you.
