I always thought Kontrol was such a pain, the way it's set up, but there definitely is some cool stuff. ( sensory overload ) when you have too much to choose from
Good points! If I am searching for a patch in something I know is NKS ready -- or even if I'm just looking for inspiring patches, I may load up in the future now that I understand it better! But I might also tire of it and let it "fade" if it's not useful in the long run.
im putting my hope to the native instruments komplete kontrol user accessibility i hope it works so you can use the courser to go trough all sounds of the vsts there are
How does your workflow work on this? I love the concept but I’m assuming either I have to turn it into audio or insert another instance of KK (which I’ve heard causes headaches). What’s your take?
Old video I know, so perhaps it didn't tell you back when you installed Komplete.....but when I installed Komplete it literally asked me if I wanted it to scan all my plugins and patches.
Scanning is one thing, but having a way to find them all (even from other manufacturers like Orchestral Tools) and use them in the same Kontrol interface is pretty cool.
@@NathanDavidCarltonSoundbed Lol, indeed. I actually assumed that's what it was doing...the amazing thing for me is that it actually pulls all the presets you have intalled for each. Tell me, is there a way to load Ableton's built-in plugins and presets into Komplete? That would make it God-Mode
How did you get your Arturia patches to show up under the "All Instruments" section? I have been looking everywhere to find the solution to this but have not found it anywhere.
Komplete Kontrol software is just a Kontakt wrapper and the way it is developed sucks. The interface is like from WindowsXP era. This product is not really up to the task and certainly has to be completely redesigned. Super hard to read, and almost no customization. I have endless problems with loosing library connection, plugins not being recognized etc. Instead of working on the music I keep fixing problems every few weeks
That's too bad. I still use it for finding instruments and then go back to my “normal” workflow of putting them on a regular instrument track. I actually used it yesterday!
Something I never knew I needed.....
I know right?
Nathan I’m grateful for this video, finally about to try Komplete Start after years of fumbling through all my separate Kontakt libraries.
Glad you liked the video! Have fun with Komplete!
Thank you for this, like you I have never looked at Komplete Kontrol. Will have a look and see what it has catalogued
Hope you find some gems!

Very Insightly...how do you access the ''All effects' knob on the Komplete Kontrol?
I haven't figured that out yet!!!

To be honest I still use it for finding instruments and then go back to my “normal” workflow of putting them on a regular instrument track.

only if those Ableton plugins are NKS ready

I don’t think I did anything special … maybe gave it access to the correct drives / folders?
holay smokers!
you crack me up @Owen Chaim
