- The team that took you to the tiny town of Hatchetfield invites you on a journey to The Lands That Are for the latest StarKid musical adventure, CINDERELLA’S CASTLE. The Kickstarter runs April 6 to May 4, 2024.

CINDERELLA'S CASTLE is a grim and hilarious retelling of the classic fairy tale, filled with music, magic and puppetry. It features a book by Nick & Matt Lang, with music & lyrics by Jeff Blim. If funded, the show will run live in the summer of 2024, then hit RUclips in late 2024/early 2025.
The show is being directed by Nick Lang, produced by Matt Lang, Paul Gabriel & Becky Clark, with musical direction by Matt Dahan. The cast includes Bryce Charles, Mariah Rose Faith Casillas, Angela Giarratana, Lauren Lopez, Jon Matteson, Curt Mega, Joey Richter, James Tolbert, Kim Whalen, and Jeff Blim. More information about specific casting and the creative team will be released as the Kickstarter campaign progresses.

Into the Woods is one of my favorite musicals of all time, and I’m so excited to see Starkid’s take on a darker version of Cinderella’s story with magic, monsters, and music. The puppets look amazing and alive, and I can already tell the soundtrack is going to be STUNNING.
My school's performing Into the Woods in a few weeks, I'm so excited to see it for the first time!

I heard in other interviews that they were practicing different elements in their shows for a future project (puppetry etc.). This must be it.
honestly it's so good that it takes as long as it does to produce one of these. This is *so similar* in tone and in places in content to Dimension 20's Neverafter that I'd hate to see accusations of copying. Knowing how long these take, that simply isn't possible since Neverafter is only about a year and a half old when this was announced.
I know they’ve said they wrote all 3 of the Hatchetfeild trilogy around the same time, so even before TGWDLM they’ve been working on new stuff like this, which is super exciting!!
The puppetry, the concept, Bryce as the lead, the music - I thought I was done with retellings of stories like Cinderella but no, I am so onboard!

Omg I can't wait. I'm going through a weird cinderella phase and was getting sad that there isn't another fairy tale retold by starkid (I'm a HUGE twisted fan). The background music sounds sooo good. This is going to be a great summer.

The wait will be so worth it - I always LOVE a take on fairy tales where there is more Grimm elements. I feel like those elements make the story so much more worth it. Super excited for this musical - cannot WAIT to see how the cast will make it even more magical.

Recently I watched some of the old starkid shows for the first time (avps, avpsy, hmb, ani) and comparing those to the quality shown is mad. I can't wait to watch starships when this comes out just to compare the two because my god have they improved prop wise. IM SO EXCITED!! :DD

I’m actually so so so so excited. I LOVE fairytales (especially older ones, the juniper tree, fairytales original stories, ect) so I am so excited to see how the story unfolds in a “starkid” way. I can already see Juniper tree meets Cinderella kinda vibe. Cant wait to see more!! 🖤🖤🖤

I can't wait to enjoy all these new songs. I am genuinely curious what connections we will find to the Black and White in this musical. Astute fans may have noticed the connections going as far back as Oregon Trail (A THOUSAND EYES!) or Jafar (The domain inside the lamp exists outside of time and space - The Black and White) so it stands to reason we can expect something here too.
