My friend named her daughter Seven because she was a rainbow baby and there are 7 colors in the rainbow. I have seen other women name their child Seven for the same reason here in the U.S.
@@Madison-rose No worries! I'd be happy to explain rainbow babies. A rainbow baby is often the name coined for a baby born after losing a baby due to miscarriage, infant loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The idea comes from rainbows appearing in the sky after a storm, symbolizing hope and healing after a difficult experience.

Considering what the world has been through this year, I think it would be cool if you made a list of bay names that mean strength and health or peace and comfort. Like for example, the name Valentina means healthy and strong, Zale means sea strength, and Wyatt means strong, also like Allegra means happiness.
Salem, Navy and Theodora are on our list for girls! The boys, I find these all quite soft and lovely whereas I like much more strong and bold boy names!
I'm from the US, and I've noticed that most of the little girls (2-7) I know are named Emily, but I know a fair number of Oakleys, and I went to school with two Sevens and a Nayvee!
I am from the United States too and most little girls I know that age are Isabella, Olivia, Charlotte and Ava or Lily or some variation of Lily and Sofia/ Sophia.

Hey SJ! Lovely video as always ❤ I'm Greek and in Greece "Atreus" is pronounced "Ah-tre-as" so you pronounced it in a lovely Greek accent😊 P.S: you look gorgeous!!
My little boy was born on November 24th! I names him Theodore (Teddy) David. He was 7pd8oz and 48cm long. It took me 24 hours to name him, Theodore wasn’t even on my list, his middle name was always going to be David, after my father who passed away when I was 16. Because of Star Trek, Seven is such a girl name to me I could never see it for a boy! I used to have the double-barrelled names "Salem Artem" and "Blair Athene" picked out for years. I'm still fond of them!
You might want to think about naming a baby Atreus a bit! To save you time googling here is a little summary You mentioned how he was a great grandson of Zeus but in Greek Mythology everone and their uncle is a decendant of Zeus lol More importantly Atreus was the son of Pelops and grandson of Tantalos who both were kind of famous for killing either their own or other people's children, cooking them and serving them to the gods as a meal. Atreus had a fight with his brother Thyestes over the throne of Mycenae and Atreus' wife cheating on him with said brother but Atreus pretended to forgive Thyestes and invited him for a family reunion dinner at which the main course was - you guessed it - Thyestes' own children. That being said there is essentially no completely unproblematic character in Greek mythology and Atreus really isn't the worst out there :D Plus the name does sound beautiful!!!

I’m struggling!! Have watched so many baby name videos...over 31 weeks pregnant and my husband wants me to give him a shortlist of girl names...but apparently 1 name is too short of a list! I’m struggling to find names that I like. Traditional/simple...11 years of teaching has made this task sooooo hard!!!
These are super fascinating! As an American I can understand Navy, but the others....those exist?!? Crazy sauce, right there! Theodora is also so beautiful, I want to use it myself so bad! I hope my future husband will be flexible enough to handle my ideas of baby names, because I really want to use names like these just as much as I wish I were already married. Thanks for this amazing video, as always SJ!
Ainhoa is from the south West of France, pays Basque ! Very proud People, one of the last regions of France, with Brittany, to still be very attached to traditionnal names in the original dialect of the region. Ainhoa is in Basque langage, and sometimes spelled Aïnhoa. It is very common in the area, but not so much elsewhere.. Really particular to the Pays Basque ! Loooove the name as well haha. They are known to be fierce ladies, with temper ! They can be very sweet as well.
for ages i have loved the idea of classical names like Josephine, Emmeline and Elizabeth and giving them nicknames like Josie, Emmy and Lily as children but when they get older they can use their more ‘adult’ name
This is all coming from an American. Girls: 10. Salem - I see it all over Instagram. 9. Ainhoa - Never seen it before. 8. Oakleigh - I personally prefer Oakley. It's a name that is often made fun of over here because of the sunglasses brand. 7. Alaiya - I have seen this one but mostly on Nameberry. 6. Alaia - I prefer it with the Y. 5. Yaritza - Girls hardly ever get a Y name. 4. Emani - I think it's cute. 3. Navy - I have seen it all over Instagram. I like it but it feels like a middle spot name. 2. Theodora - I can totally see this being super popular in the next 5 years because of Theodore for boys and we like having names for boys on girls. This is just the girlier version and is super cute. 1. Amoura - I think it's becoming popular because Aurora is too popular. Boys: 10. Archie - Definitely a Harry and Meghan influence. 9. Atreus - Never seen it before. 8. Seven - Like Harper Seven inspired from when Victoria Beckham named her daughter. Also, it could rise because of the Taylor Swift song seven. 7. Eliel - Not a fan. 6. Aziel - I much prefer this one. 5. Ambrose - I can see this on a strong southern hotty with a cowboy hat. 4. Kyro - I think Cairo for a girl is cuter. This would be a great compromise for all those people who want to name their son Kylo. 3. Amias - I think it's cute. 2. Ermias - Not a fan.
I have a 2 year old girl called Elodie Wren and I'm currently 7 months pregnant with twin boys. We have a name picked out for baby a, (Levitt James) but my fiancé and I cant agree on a name for baby b, he hates the names I pick out. So somebody in the comments, help me find a name that is unique and matches Levitt.. because we're really struggling.
hey! I came up with a list of twin boy names to match with Levitt - feel free to browse and get inspiration :) Altin Alton August Ammon Adeo Cedar Clyde Elden Elio Fitz Oslo Orion Oliver Pax Radley Rowan Ruel Luan Leon Landon Luca Lucas Liam Levi Lincoln Leo Lennox Lennie Leland Lucian Lex
@@amaliaowl Thanks for taking the time to make this, it's really helpful! Elio has always been my top favorite but its close to my daughters name so I cant use it. I'll suggest some off of this to my fiancé because I really love them, I've never heard Radley before and I like it a lot, it's going straight on my list. Thank you!!!
I really like the name Seven. I think it would common for people to misread it as Steven though. Numbers can have so much sentimental meaning as well as numerology meanings, so I think that could be a cool naming trend!
Ermias has come from a much loved rapper from the US called Nipsey Hussle, who sadly passed away earlier this year. His daughters name is Emani so interesting that they are both rising names x
Oh man. Archibald is high on my list because it is a surname in my husband’s family. But i hope it doesn’t become too popular! Although Archie is different than Archibald. I knew an Eliel in college! His name always stood out to me. I also have Teodor on my list, baby due in April, which is Theodore in Spanish, I don’t know if it will also feel too popular???
I'm American and these trending names are a surprise to me. I've only heard 2 out of the entire list and I find most of them cumbersome in terms of pronunciation. I love unique names with thoughtful meaning but I think my generation (Millennials) and the Gen Z are taking naming a bit to the extreme. I like how Alaiya sounds but not a fan of either spelling. Salem as a nickname for Jerusalem is cute but most people would just think witches and black cats. It's a perfect cat name IMO. Oddly enough, I do like Navy but it is exactly that... odd. Yaritza is really common in the Caribbean - love the meaning but not a fan of the name. The only name is absolutely adore on this list is Ambrose!!!

OMG NOOOO SALEM HAS BEEN ON MY LIST FOR YEARS :( hahahaha I'm dramatic but I don't want it to be in the top 1000
It’s still not too popular
ME TOO NOW IDK WHAT TO DO 😭😭😭
I think amias and ermias are pronounced like Elias, more like uh-my-us and er-my-us
I think so too.
I thought the same. Definitely it sounds nice that way.
Uh-my-is is the correct way to say Amias.
In Spanish Elias is pronounced eh-Lee-as love that name!
You are my favorite youtuber,I love your channel so much!!
Ah thank you Andromeda! xx
@@SJ_Strum Omg I can’t believe you answered. As an American this video was so fun to watch! Thank you so much, continue doing what you do!
Anyone watch Seinfeld?? I had to laugh 😅. You'll understand why.
I'm surprised Soda isn't on the list too! lol
I’m struggling!! Have watched so many baby name videos...over 31 weeks pregnant and my husband wants me to give him a shortlist of girl names...but apparently 1 name is too short of a list! I’m struggling to find names that I like. Traditional/simple...11 years of teaching has made this task sooooo hard!!!
i’ve been hearing sooo many Navy’s and Salem’s in the past 5 years but the rest were super unique!!
I came across these polynesian names of mythical siblings: Kalea (Kah-LAY-a/Kah-LEE-ah) Purotu and Naehu
Oooh this is so great info to have thank you very much for adding :-) Amazing that it's trending over in America - I love the Aïnhoa spelling. xxxxx
for ages i have loved the idea of classical names like Josephine, Emmeline and Elizabeth and giving them nicknames like Josie, Emmy and Lily as children but when they get older they can use their more ‘adult’ name
Eliel is coming quite popular name in Finland and is pronounced like you said it. 🥰
Such a good list, would love a part 2 in the future!!
This is all coming from an American.
Girls:
Boys:
So somebody in the comments, help me find a name that is unique and matches Levitt.. because we're really struggling.
hey! I came up with a list of twin boy names to match with Levitt - feel free to browse and get inspiration :)

@@abbieavery4703 no problem, I hope you and your fiancé can decide on a name you love!
@@amaliaowl you could try landon, leo, levi, or maybe logan.
Another visually appealing video like always SJ well done
The first time I heard the name "Seven" used was the late 90's by Erykah Badu.
Similar to Atreus is Atreyu which is a band!
Soooo good!
Alaiya reminds me of my own name, "Leia" pronounced the same way as the "Laiya"!
Were having a little girl and weve picked the name Adley. I think its kinda unique what do you think?
I prefer Adelaide, but it's interesting
Love adley!
I like the names Hadleigh and Raleigh.
I really like the name Seven. I think it would common for people to misread it as Steven though. Numbers can have so much sentimental meaning as well as numerology meanings, so I think that could be a cool naming trend!
Oh Navy is cute!
Ermias has come from a much loved rapper from the US called Nipsey Hussle, who sadly passed away earlier this year. His daughters name is Emani so interesting that they are both rising names x
I think Ainhoa sounds too much like "I know her"
There is an artist who’s name is Salem who went viral on tiktok, that might contribute to the hype
Last time I was here I was naming my sim now I'm naming her baby....sml these are wonderful
Such a fun list. I really like Kyro!
My cousin named her baby Avonlea.
What do you think of that name?
It does have the "Anne Of Green Gables" connection.
It's pretty! I like that association 😁
How about Victor Amias? Also I love Theodora-our friends just named their girl Theodora (nn Teddy)
I love teddy for a nickname
I have a four year old son named Ambrose. I love his name!
