    I so appreciate the video. Was taking a 5 hour trip by car to NY and my A/C was pumping out hot air. Local oil change place wanted $199 to recharge the A/C. I watched your video and bought the A/C Pro Kit and in literally 10 minutes had the A/C nice and cold. Thank you! A crime to charge $199!

    I lowered the A/C temperature using the A/C Pro kit following the instructions here. My A/C system was behaving oddly before the recharge. Ford 1999 F-250. At the first step, I started the engine and turned the A/C to MAX. With just the gauge on, the needle would go from green and then dip into white for a few seconds, then the A/C compressor clutch would kick out for 4 seconds, then back in for about 20 seconds. This repeated for 10 minutes. Each time the gauge would drop to about 22, then rise to about 40. I re-checked the A/C controls, all correct.
    I decided to just add a little, as the analog gauge was dipping into the white area, about 20 PSI. After adding new refrigerant for a minute or two, the cycling stopped and the A/C system stayed on! This was a pleasant surprise. I continued adding till the gauge read about 35 PSI.
    Nice cold A/C now. Thanks very much!

    Just did this for my 2012 Honda CRV. It’s a temporary fix, but it works wonders on my AC now! If yall are doing this, be sure to not overcharge. I charged mine up to around 31 psi. It’s better to undercharge than to overcharge. Also take into account of the ambient air temp. I did mine when it was around 78-80F in my garage. It’s also very important to know how much psi that your car operates for the A/C. Some cars have a lower/higher psi that the a/c takes of refrigerant than others.

    I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer I recently bought from an older guy in my city. He never drove it during winters so for a 23 year old truck, it was PRISTINE! Anyhow, shortly after I bought it the AC seemed to need a recharge. I'm a DIY'er, or at last as much as I can. So my research led me to AC Pro. The instructions seemed too easy to believe, , , but it really was that easy! In just a few trigger pulls the trucks AC compressor kicked in, , , yeah, signs of life! A few more trigger pulls (while shaking and rotating from 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock) the gauge was reading all green. I even have refrigerant left over, which is a good sign that the system was not completely out, but was just low (what else to expect after 23 years).
    I want to end by saying this is an awesome and easy to use product! It a LOT easier on the wallet than a trip tot he service garage!

  • @bradlong7941
    @bradlong7941 5 лет назад +26

    Good point at the end of the video. Too much refrigerant is also a problem.
    For an A/C system to work, the refrigerant must cycle from liquid to a gas.
    If everything is too compressed, this process will not be able to function
    properly if at all. "More is better" does not apply here once your factory
    capacity has been reached.
    One more thing. Use caution with those cans that claim "leak sealant". That can
    plug up the tiny metering device in the system used to convert a gas into a liquid.
    Enjoy the summer weather. 😎

    I have A/C again, just as simple as video showed. I only made one mistake at the beginning,,,,,, I missed turning on the A/C, as I only turned on the fans and lowered the temperature scale but missed the A/C Button. However, once I re-did it with the A/C on (Light), it worked, and Wala cold air, but it did take me about 20 to 30 minutes. It also helps to have the gloves on as when the transfer of the liquid is taking place the container gets cold 🥶 a bit.

      @@CeejayClarkWhat they didn't tell you in the video is that you should always pull a vacuum of the old refrigerant, which is completely removing the old freon before installing the new & making sure there are no leaks. If the AC worked before, then it's most likely holding refrigerant. Also, you most likely don't have the proper equipment for that procedure so you should most definitely take your car to an auto mechanic & have them pull a vacuum of the old refrigerant, then afterwards recharge the AC system with the AC pro. If your car is newer, then it's probably ok just simply topping it off, but if it's 5 or more years old, then a vacuum must be performed to remove the old freon & possible residual moisture in the lines that can cause corrosion. Do it right, then you don't have to worry..

    Ok so I literally been obsessed with getting ac working in my 2004 Toyota Sienna minivan. I bought it with no ac and suffer when driving it even on mild hot days. I didn’t know about refrigerant in a bottle until recently. I used a paper clip to jump the relay at the fuse box so that my clutch engages and then added ac pro. I also swapped the clutch relay with the horn relay to see if the clutch relay is working and sure enough the clutch relay is bad. For now I temporarily use the horn relay in place of the clutch relay until I buy a new relay.
    My van takes almost 1.9 lbs and this bottle is about 1.2lbs. I refilled the whole bottle but the gauge still read low. However, I can feel my ac kinda working except only on the passenger vents and not the driver side vents (still happy).I’m guessing it’s probably not enough refrigerant that’s causing the driver side to not blow cold as the passenger. Another thing is few hours later I would drive the car and test the gauge and it would read in the green. I read that low pressure fluctuations could be due to the outdoor temperature. In the morning when I test it always reads low around 20-25 psi. Anyways I hope this helps others and trust me this thing works. I can’t say how long as everyone’s severity and type of leak differs, but for now I am so happy. Sitting in scorching heat with no ac is not the business. Thanks AC PRO!!!

    So last year I got in the car to take my son to work, and the AC was running kinda warm and The AC light was flashing red. I bought some of this and came to RUclips for directions. The can isn't that great with the directions. Anyway, I put it on and squeezed the trigger, and it said I need to service my ac. For some reason, it just started working after that and it ran the whole summer. Not sure if there was an error with the gauge and that little squeeze was enough to fill some up, but my ac worked until I didn't need it anymore. I kinda anticipated the same problem this year and I was right. Just went and put some in and it seems to be fine now. I couldn't find the blue L cap, though, must have forgotten to put it back on last time.

    At the beginning of your video, you show the hose attached to the Canister. So I connected the hose to the canister. Later in the video you explained to have the hose separate from the canister while first checking the pressure on the system. If you remove the hose from the canister.

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  Год назад +1

      Yes, we encourage people to check the pressure first to make sure the product will work with their vehicle as there are many problems other than low refrigerant that we can't fix. Check the pressure first without the can attached. If you've followed the steps properly (engine and A/C on with pressure taken while compressor is on) and the pressure is in the red, you can reattach the gauge and return the product as long as you didn't dispense any refrigerant. If it needs more refrigerant, you can then attach the gauge and add.

    Works great. But I left the line connected to port and purged the air out of the line before screwing the can back on.

    Does the recirculating button have to be on when doing this? Mine was NOT on and my 2015 Dodge Caravan showed lots of pressure ( In the red) just wondering if I should do it again 🤔

    i this like version of your product because it doesn't have oil included! cars have different needed amount of oil. I'd rather add oil separately by a shrink
    thanks for awesome product

    Why is there not a temperature dial in this unit? I thought you want to fill to different regions in the "filled" green zone depending on the outside temperature?

      Excellent point. The Chris Fix vid on this topic used an AC Pro canister that had a temp compensator dial. They no longer have that, but the AC Pro site does have a chart that shows how to adjust the low side PSI to compensate for the ambient temperature. So, it'll still work, but it now takes more effort on behalf of the user to figure it out.

    What are we doing wrong? We squeeze the trigger and it says low. We rotate back and forth and then look at the gauge while not holding the trigger and it is the red area that says see instructions. Never changes.

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  Год назад +2

      When you pull the trigger the pressure goes to zero because the gauge can't read the pressure in the system since you're filling. You need to periodically release the trigger to check the system pressure.

    Was very happy with results of AC Pro. Used it on a 1998 Chrysler Ci6 and it worked great. Does the gauge have to be disconnected from the canister for pressure check? Thank you.

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  3 года назад +1

      No it doesn't necessarily need to be disconnected to check the pressure.

    Have the digital guage AC pro.
    Followed the steps laid out here but every 10 seconds or so it drops to 17 then up to 40-43. I read that it is the AC clutch kicking off and on due to low refrigerant. Does it sound accurate to continue to fill it, until clutch stays engaged?

    Worked great. What do I do with the leftover freon in the can, and should I disconnect the gauge/hose when storing it?

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  Год назад +1

      You can just store it in a cool, dry space. The hose can either stay connected or be taken off. There's a self-sealing valve on the can top so it won't leak.

    • @chuckh4077
      @chuckh4077 Месяц назад

      @Acprocold jeez. The ones from 10 years ago didn't have that feature. I took my Guage off and freon sprayed everywhere. 😅

    Great Product, after use do you store the can with the Guage attached?

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  Год назад

      You can store either with the gauge attached or not. The can has a self-sealing valve so no gas will leak out if you disconnect.

    ***CAUTION*** This video shows the regulator connected to the can in the video in the beginning. Then it shows him checking the amount of refrigerant with the regulator disconnected. I just unscrewed my regulator and the entire contents of the can shot out! Don't take the regulator off until the can is empty. (Edit) A friend gave this to me and the regulator was already attached.

      It is possible that gave you an old-style can where the gauge had a needle that punctured the can when you screw it on. For THOSE types, you cannot remove the gauge until the can is empty, true. These AC Pro gauges do not have the puncture needle and won't work with those old cans. Starting in 2018, all refrigerant cans were required to be self-sealing. If your can wasn't old, then something is wrong with the can. When you unscrew the gauge/trigger assembly, the can should not spew R134a into the air.

    • @jodibaker4646
      @jodibaker4646 26 дней назад

      The same thing just happened to me! Apparently once you attach the regulator to the top of the can after checking the refrigerant, it can NOT be unscrewed again from the top of the can! I had a half used can in my garage that I had used previously on another car, and when I unscrew the top the contents of the can literally shot out everywhere!!! It was all over me, my clothes and driveway…..what a big mess! 😕
