I'm sure you know this, but for those who don't, the reason why Saban wrote Skull out of the series was because Jason Narvy (Skull's actor) was finishing college and pursuing a degree in theater and needed to leave the show.

Fun fact: Jason Narvy (Skull) actually auditioned for the role of Billy. Imagine an alternate universe where the blue Ranger is played by Narvy and Skull is played by David Yost lol.

Your favourite universe
So, I have met all of the original rangers (with the exception of Thuy Trang) as well as Bulk and Skull. I have a diecast morpher signed by David, Karan, Amy, Jason, Austin, and WEJ. But...
Of all of the cast that I have met, Bulk and Skull were the two most down-to-earth, friendly, and relatable.
When I met them at a convention, I had my son with me, he had never watched Power Rangers at that point, I think he was only about four. But Bulk and Skull took us in for our photoshoot and treated my son like he had been a Power Ranger fan for twenty years. My son kept saying he loved Bulk and Skull (Even though he had no idea who they were, and they could tell). Bulk signed a dollar bill (Without charging for any autograph), gave it to my son and said "So, you say you love Bulk and Skull. BUT! If you really love Bulk and Skull, I want you to keep this dollar bill and never spend it, because if you do, it means you don't love Bulk and Skull."
He gave my son the dollar bill, and it still hangs on the wall, with that picture of the four of us, to this day.
One of my favorite things about meeting them though, was my interaction with Skull.
As we were preparing to take our photo together, Skull was like "So, we ready to do this?" And I said "yeah but just remember Skull... Be the swallow... Be the swallow." (a nod to skull trying to hype himself up before jumping out of the plane in the MMPR movie). Skull looked at Bulk and said. "He's been waiting twenty years to say that."
I laughed so hard. Bulk and Skull were, without a doubt the best and most welcoming celebrities I have ever met, I could tell just from being around them that they were immaculate human beings, and I take any opportunity to sing their praises, because they really made the entire event worth it.
WEJ, Karan Ashley, Jason David Frank, and all of the others were great too. But Bulk and Skull really, really stand out to me as the ones who made that convention memorable.

everytime there's an anniversary episode, even more than old rangers or whatever, I'm always secretly hoping we see these 2 turn up again to help the rangers in some capacity
I just want them to come back as the Orange and Purple ranger (I think Boar and Raptor) just one time. For giggles.

Bulk and Skull were genuinely great comedic relief. They had excellent timing and facial expressions. With all due respect, I think that was missing in Samurai, where too often Bulk would just get covered in goo or something, without adequate set up for the payoff to work. But still, their original run was fantastic.
I always loved how the actor of bulk was so dedicated in his role he played his iconic role for a whole new generation
Bulk and Skull are so awesome in the finale of In Space. They lead the citizens of Angel Grove into battle against the evil to in order to help the Power Rangers. Witnessing the Power Ranger are still outnumbered, Bulk shouts, "Come on! Let's get in there! Who's with me?", shakes Skull's hand like "Good luck, buddy", Skull like "Same to you, pal", and leads the charge. Bulk and Skull finally had their moment in the sun.

it's funny to me that Bulk and Skull ended up being two of the longest running characters on the show compared to the rangers swapping out all the time due to both working conditions/wages and the sudden trend to swap heroes out. (both entirely related)

Bulk & Skull are an amazing comedic duo in the power rangers series, so many hilarious moments. One of the ones that stand out is when they go with Kimberley & her uncle in the plane & when Kimberley is flying the plane, they scream 'SHES FLYING THE PLANE!' before fainting 🤣🤣🤣

The real heroes of the franchise
The show might be called power rangers, but it's kinda cool how Bulk is the most used character of all of them with Skull being 2nd followed by Tommy. And then to find out that Bulk and Skull are brother-in-laws at the end of samurai is awesome
That felt like catching up with a friend from primary school for the first time in years.
Very informative. I've been out of the game since halfway through the original run of Power Rangers Turbo, so I never knew what happened to these guys. From being bullies, to helping humanity take a stand against evil, thats real character development.
Wished Zordon and the rangers would have let these two in on the secret in the beginning. They would have been more useful and covered for the rangers.

In their early days they were selfish jerks who probably would've exploited that knowledge. So maybe not right from the start, but that probably would've worked at a later point.

Ethereal Dreamer Art I think there was one episode in season 2 where they discovered the Rangers' identities and when they stood up to the monster to buy them time they got their memories erased.

The Stealth Eagle and The Swooping Swallow!
Always liked the funny bits with these two. they might not be Rangers but they are definitely Legends of the franchise.
The fact that these two didn't show up in some form in the latest movie was a crime against all Ranger fans.
Bulk and Skull's last appearence was in the final episode of Power Rangers Super Samurai as Skull came to collect his son Spike, after that the comedy duo were never seen or heard again.
Everybody can try the “I am Spartacus” moment but somehow only Power Rangers pulled it off

My theory is that Bulk in the future became Zordon. That's how he knew who to pick in the beginning.
My head canon that in Forever Red they know that Tommy is a former ranger and leader which would explain them being so timid around him when they give him the phone. Still blows my mind that Jason Narvy is a college professor now.
It could be that they new Tommy was a ranger. I still think Tommy had become verry sucsessfull maby even rich after he handed over his turbo morpher so they could have just ben trying to respect him and keep thier job at his pool or massion or something. It seamed they were scared cause the call was from Andross and they knew of his red space ranger identity. Even though Tommy is no longer a ranger he was aparently still keeping an eye on things. He was basicley a ranger withought a suit.
I guess you haven't seen Dino Thunder yet. Tommy became a famous paleontologist. Great season. You should watched it.
I love Bulk & Skull! They became my favorite part of the show after awhile. My favorite episode is the 2-parter "King for A Day" during ZEO where they truly were heroes, even though no one on Earth knew about it.
Lmao. When bulk and skull met that alien prisoner dude. I remember something “I’m skull. He’s bulk. We’re from EUURTH” and the aliens like I’m sorry to hear that 😂
I never knew why Bulk and Skull never showed up in Lightspeed Rescue.
That was one main mystery of that season.

I can still remember there Academy theme. "Shape it up, Bulk and Skull"
The most memorable comical relief duo throughout Power Ranger lore...Bulk & Skull.
Countdown to Destruction was such a great ending to In Space. Bulk and Skull really did have a huge moment of character development. I remember binging MMPR through SMF on netflix about 4 years ago and seeing that scene made a tear well up in my eyes. Especially considering that they were the first to step up when it counted without powers.
To this day, I still hold the belief that Bulk and Skull should have become Power Rangers in the main timeline. That moment alone showcased that they were worthy of gaining the power and using it for good.

Best character growth in the entire Power Rangers franchise in my opinion. You have two characters go from high school bullies to junior police officers to helping save the earth that to me is great character growth.
I loved Bulk and Skull, If they had made a spin off I probably wouldve loved it. I feel like theyre definitely what newer seasons are lacking compared to mighty morphin thru lost galaxy. After that it was gud but it didnt have the same feel to it. And you have much respect from me for including these two and showing them the love they deserve.

They did though actually, a really old straight to VHS called The Good, The Bad and The Stupid: The Misadventures of Bulk and Skull - never watched it myself but they made it and it's out there look it up
I think RPM got close with Ziggy. He had a pretty fun straight man/funny man with the black ranger, was an ex-mob goon, and saved the world with the power of shadow puppetry.
I actually had a cool convo with Spike, O didnt even know he was filming PR then I saw him on there and was like hey isnt that that guy I was chatting with. Lol
He is actually a very chill guy.
No one will ever beat Bulk and Skull I like their character growth from bullies to heros and good people
Bulk & Skull were the Laurel & Hardy of the Power Ranger universe
The iconic funny theme from them is amazing XD. Also, character development when they finally did something good for once in that part of Space Power rangers
I actually got to meet the actors at a panel at Realms Con with the original Blue ranger. They were hilarious and still good friends to this day, even went around shopping at booths with them for about a half hour. They may well have been the friendliest members of the franchise I have met.

Bulk and Skull are such an iconic duo in MMPR as well as the other PR Series. So many funny moments throughout MMPR! One of my favourite moments has to be White Light Parts 1/2 in Season 2 (MMPR) when both are trying to open up Ritas Dumpster in Skull's Parents Workshop with so many tools/power tools involved! 😂😂😂

I'll sing/hum their theme song on occasion when doing the dishes or cat box.
The actor who plays Bulk also does the series of Power Rangers Hyperforce (which is, put simply, Dragon Ball Xenoverse but Power Rangers) that is a TTRPG series with actors and actresses doing the battle scenes during combat sequences.

I like to think that the professor created a means of interdimensional travel and that Bulk and Skull started...ahem..."sliding" from reality to reality to act as "Watchers", just quietly hanging out in the background observing, studying and documenting the various ranger teams for future generations.

bulk and skull will always be the original comedic charecters in power ranger series, and you cant change that.
Always wanted to see them come back and hasbro needs to make figures of them for the collection
It would have been great if in later seasons bulk and skull would have been asked for advice from the later power rangers on how to defeat the monster of the week

Power Rangers Samurai was the Power Rangers I grew up with and I'm glad to have seen Bulk be hilarious with his best friend's son Spike.

Bulk & Skull were the most relatable characters. The Rangers never had any flaws except for being too perfect. Even when the Rangers did have issues it was the result of some spell/potion or very poorly thought out character trait, that is never seen before or after a given episode, serving as a contrived plot device. The best example of this is Trini. In the very first episode she is seen jumping up onto the roof of a building and standing on the edge of the sky scraper. But the very next episode she is inexplicably afraid of heights to the point that she is even terrified for Jason climbing a 10 foot rope. A level of fear that is blatantly irrational, but never seen again for the next two seasons. Bulk and Skull, however, could and did fail (and succeed) at numerous endeavors.
I like to believe that skull eventually ended up marrying Kimberly or possibly trini during the time between wild force and samurai and he also become a famous musician.
I'd love to see a future rangers team that had the kids of Bulk and Skull as power rangers.
I actually met the two actors a few years ago, it was really fun (also I love my cousin's comment that Bulk looks like he should be a pub landlord nowadays lol)

I use to HATE Bulk and Skull but they grew on me and eventually I couldn't imagine the power rangers without them. This video really helped me as i stopped watch power Rangers around Power Rangers in space. Great video!

You forgot to mention there was one time that Bulk and Skull actually saved the rangers when the rangers lost their memories and had to use a prism against a monster for the rangers to regain them!

Bulk turns up in Samurai, and with Skull's son in tow. In that season, Skull sent his son to study kendo under Bulk.

Even though the actors didn't appear in power rangers once and always we do see a billboard of Skullovitch & Bulkmeier’s Bulk Food company created by Bulk and Skull.
I’d like to think that after all these years, they for once took a long, SERIOUS pause to reflect their past, realize they were more than just friends and well…they have a beautiful home together in Palm Springs with their two labradoodles, Paul & Jason.
Out of all of the adventures Bulk and Skull did, In Space was the best and that is the one I would do

Do you know what would have been awesome? If they didnt bring bulk and skull back in Samurai, but saved them for Megaforce. They ascend to become mentors using thier studies of the power rangers that they showcased in mmpr, throughout the series we get to see snips or explanations of interactions between bulk &skull and the various pr teams over the years.
How did they tap into the morphing grid? Simple, alpha 5. Alpha wasnt disassembled and put into a box, both them and bulk and skull have been planning the megaforce team since the end of lost galaxy bc they knee that the world would need power rangers again someday, and they would need the assistance of the knowledge and experience of other teams.
It continues bulk and skull on thier path from bullies to heroes and extends it to the next level, it explains why the powers are based on previous teams and gives an easy explanation as to how to bring in guest stars from the other seasons.
And *that* is how you do an anniversary season

To me on the Samurai one it seemed that they hated each other a bit.
It's always been my headcanon that Skull took his epic level piano skills (as shown in an episode of Zeo) and became a successful musician, hence why he now has a limo as seen in the final episode of Super Samurai.
This has revealed so many memories to me that I forgot completely.

I used to hate these characters, slbut then i watch episode where skull play piano and bull love it. After that episode i start to see them as unique funny characters. These two characters last longer than any ranger character, and they will always be the best duo in power ranger

i was watching power rangers on the internet once on youtube. and it was one of the bulk and skull scenes and i read this one comment in the comments section where this guy said he never actually got that bulk and skull were supposed to be bullies and i'm like "seriously" are you for real right now that was crystal clear in the first episode and the pilot that they were bullies so how did you not get that.
let me add that bulk's desendant became a ranger in hyperforce and saban then said THAT'S cannon
Countdown to Destruction was one of my 2 favourite episodes for Bulk and Skull. The other is the Zeo episode King for a Day where they are transported to an alien combat arena and meet an alien name Tritor and help him to free the power rangers and escape
