Thanks for this vid, it’s very helpful. Not too long and everything you need to know. I Haven’t done mine yet, I wanted to get an idea what it’d be like to replace. I see you used the iFixit kit, how is the battery holding up? Still good 8 mo later?
I'm considering getting a used iPad but the complications attendant to replacing the battery is real discouraging. That Apple would make such a routine procedure so complicated has me wondering whether an iPad is worth it. The battery will degrade and fail eventually -- that's a guarantee -- and the expense and complication required to swap it out renders the device disposable for many. Nope I think I'll pass.
Well did u really think it was worth the amount of shop time, cost of Batterie plus fabricating shims, use of acetone, the correct tools, I don't think so at the cost of over 100 dollars an hour for shop time, To me that thing be flying in the nearest Dumpster, good bye nasty pile of toxic goo yip the Dumpster will be the best place for a crappy ,dead apple I pad, it is not worth the effort and cash for such a device yip the Dumpster is looking like a better hi
At least you talk and give examples. It’s very important that people explain what they are doing. Thank You
Thanks for the tutorial, well explained..would reheating the glass when it is back in postion activate the existing glue?
I guess, that's a good idea

When closing the screen back do we not use glue to make it secure?

I've been using it ever since and it works great. Totally worth it in my opinion but to each his own.
