Thank you so much for showing this again. I took your quilt class for that serger quilt, but I had the Altair at the time and didn't have the grid. But...now I have a Solaris and I can use the grid, too.
What is your sewing machine history? My sister and I earned a 1930s White - Westinghouse machine babysitting for a neighbor. It was a work horse, old shuttle bobbin, straight stitch only. I don't think it had back stitch capability. I'm remembering having to knot the seam ends. My dolls were well dressed with clothes made on that. I got to this stream of thought thinking of the technological advances of today's machines. Didn't know you were stimulating a trip down memory lane, did you?🥰
What a wonderful story Carolyn! Sewing is such a part of me as well, can't you tell! My mom and grandmothers also were seamstresses at heart! So happy you shared your trip down memory lane :)
Wonderful feature on the machine. Thanks for the tutorial .
Thanks for watching :)
Hi Lori! Great lesson! I have truly enjoyed Sewtember! Your quilt is lovely! Thank you for inspiring me to explore my machine.

Thank you👏👏
You stop sewing the seam…do you tie off the threads at the end of each toe you sew?
Yes, I back stitched at the end :) Thanks for watching.
