They have done a great job on that trailer Sandy.....whole outfit looks great😊 I guess you have lost a bit of payload for a while though...gonna need an upgrade Good luck with it all.
Hi Sandy, in life, you have to take good opportunities when they come along, even though they don't immediately fit in. Good luck finding work, & I always look forward to your updates, hopefully see you on the road👍
Hello Sandy. Your new trailer certainly projects the right image for expanding your business. Hope it brings you plenty of new work in the future and is very reliable too.
GBT done you a solid with that paint job on the new trailer. Really goes well with your unit. Big gamble buying it now when you are quiet, so why not start a buymeacoffee page as i, for one, wouldn't mind getting you a coffee or 3🤔. Hope the work starts coming in soon, so see the trailer in operation🤙
The Unit and trailer together looks mega! The colours pop nicely. With the 4th axle, it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. All the best to you pal. Keep er lit 🤙
Love the new trailer and hope you get lots of work for her. Trucker Tim has childhood ideas but doesn't have the knowledge or experience to see them through so he has to rely on others. You are a grafter and work hard as this is your business, it's not just content to pay for childhood dreams...
Love your videos every video I watch has made my mind up up at at setting up on me own I can see a 80t unit in front of that nice 4 axle coming in the future
Looks good sandy colour scheme stands out , one thing about you sandy your a grafter mate not scared be it a tanker or timber hard work pays off in time good luck to you bud 👍 😅😅
congratulations on the upgrade sandy, trucking always has it's up n down's so when the good times come back your better prepared for it. presumably you can run STGO 1 with your unit know you have a 4 axle trailer, but anything more you'll have to have a twin tag unit at least to go heavier?
Trailer looking amazing Sandy behind the truck , seems funny how you got this amazingly new trailer & days later mr Tumbles is @ the same place purchasing one for the Chanel were you purchased a new business asset , work will come to you as you are such a great hard working haulier who will smash all these new challenges that come your way , 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
From my time in haulage I've noticed that often the companies that do well are those that do groupage/part loads, certainly in the general side of it. Competition and margins are so tight for full loads. Having lots of small customers also limits the risk and means not too many eggs are in any one basket, also smaller customers could pay upfront to help cashflow (never wise to be owed money by a farmer - I say that as someone with farming in the family). The downside is that a yard is required for transshipping and load consolidation etc, but I see you have some yard space. Have you considered doing groupage loads of plant and farm equipment to auctions etc? I know Euro Auctions in Doncaster is the big one down south but not sure if stuff from Scotland is sold there? This model would work best with a rigid low loader to do the local pickup and collections. Good luck with your new trailer, if you do venture south maybe I'll see you out on the road.
Hi sandy matey 👍 it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍 I've just been watching your RUclips video on your new low loader trailer and i really like it alot by the way. And yes i totally understand what you are saying about upgrading from three axel trailer to four axel trailer that you have just bought but at the end of the day it doesn't matter what you put on the back of that low loader trailer it will carry it no problems at all and it's a very nice new low loader trailer and colours are great and it goes with your truck 👍👍 as for trucker Tim trailer think he is getting the same low loader trailer as you and the Scania chassis is from the Scania R4 series that he has just killed off to be totally honest with you sandy it was a great Scania R4 series really because i sent a message to keep that truck and paint it and then use it or i would of bought it off trucker Tim myself. Because I've got a Scania R4 series V8 580 in the metallic blue with a midlift axel and spent shit load of money on it and it's the only truck that i own and it's mine bought and paid for. And my flat bed trailer is also in metallic blue and my curtain side trailer is aswell. I'm looking for a low loader trailer myself and I'm definitely thinking of getting one with in the next two months because i definitely need one myself. Great RUclips video on your new low loader trailer and it looks great by the way sandy matey 👍 thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍👍
Those SAF axles are a nightmare to work on and parts for them are like hens teeth I don't know what the trailer parts suppliers are like in your area but where I live none of them keep any SAF parts in stock for them because they're that expensive the parts have to be ordered in as soon as I seen the axle I went fxxk no problems ahead great axle but when things go wrong a nightmare it could take weeks or even months to get parts and getting the hubs off can be difficult
Awesome bit of kit, hey if you don't push yourself how do you know what's possible! Smash it Sandy. For the logging side, is there much money in that at the moment?
@@Sandy-Flat-Out-Flat-Broke Is it worth getting into though? I'm in Northumberland and there doesn't seem to be much timber floating around, is European timber cheaper at the moment? Stay safe bud, fab vids 👍
Hi sandy your new trailer looks great painted in your colors . O hall agriculture was up buying a new trailer and trucker tim was up with o hall buying a new trailer as well trucker tim said oh look i recognise this trailer but could not say your name ohall agriculture had trucker tims old king traand tim chassis from his cannibalised scania donner truck trucker tim got the guys to max speck his new trailer and paint it blue white an black put new lights winch ect ect a bit over board to bs honest. Me think he still very upset with you over scania v8 volvo fh v8 lol
There's not only SAF axles that can be hard to get parts for had to work on 5 double deck tautliners with ROR axles fitted to them the company got a great deal on them turns out the 5 trailers were fitted with a really really odd ROR axles s cams and breaks would take anything from a week to a few months to get it would have been better to replace all the axles thank goodness I don't work on them anymore everything on the axles was just slightly different from a standard ROR axles IMPORTANT lesson in buying trailers check parts are available for the axles
Class trailer keep moving forward u will succeed and succeed well
Best of luck with the new trailer Sandy

Love the plyboard on the ramps and the cheap as chips neck boards
Ok hope your opinion doesn’t effect my life
Is it not half replaced hardwood? or is it just plywood on top that wouldn't be any good.
Tidy new trail

Tidy. Looks like you might have some conspicuously tape within 200mm of a stop lamp there mind chap.

Might be different but i used to work a 4-axle king and you had two ride heights with it. Was just a push button for either or.

You just keep out doing trucker Tim 😅😅😅
Sandy, you should have sold your hypothetical truck for £50k, as it would have made the maths easier for the depreciation per year! ;)
I can't have been the only mechanic that's had trouble getting SAF parts even s cams and breaks difficult to get
Are they not right bad for pulling the threads on the axel when trying to take the hub nut off

You need a v8 for that trailer best of luck 👍
Never know
Sandy, are you permitted to go over the 44 Ton limit with your set-up or do you need to go down the STGO regs?
