My instinct would be to get to 649 ArP soft cap once u have mjolnir runestone (788 if u still have grim toll, although i guess its hard to get to that amount of ArP without making too big of sacrifices elsewhere). Then i would gem STR after. But best bet is to sim it.

This. I played fury warrior back in original wrath in a high end guild, reaching arp hard cap (just gear+gems) was the largest increase of damage. To the point where it was a problem using my cds because I’d rip threat from tanks and almost always top dps on meters. Tbf this was back then and people are better players now. But I’ve got a feeling people are severely underestimating what fury is capable of doing with arp cap. I was there, i did it. With the ilvl buff arp hard cap might be obtainable in uld, but idk we’ll see

Wrong after 480 armor pen on gear gemming arp becomes a bigger DPS increase over strength gemming. So just hit 480 or whatever you can on gear which is easy in ulduar then gem to soft cap then strength after and this will significantly outperform gemming pure strength
@@coldfate1 not at all, cuz if u go for purely arp gear, and also gem for arp, u loose 1500 or more attack power. ergo not a dps increase. 25% of warrior damage comes from bleeds and bleeds dont get anything from arp, so if u loose too much attack power ur arp wont matter. atleast not in ulduar.
+8 hit in cloak and gloves for the socket bonuses does the trick for an alliance warrior - 134 hit rating. For horde, you'll need 31 more hit which makes Frigid Strength of Hodir slightly better for the neck. It's really a matter of which neckpiece you can get first. Then you can adjust your gemming choices.
Thanks for the vid mate, i think u covered all items that are contenders in our BiS lists very well. There is a small methodological issue with the DPS upgade numbers though: One u mentioned yourself: The items with hit compare bad when put into a hitcapped T7 set, but gain value once u have more T8 items and miss hit (when u replace Grim Toll with Mjolnir i.e.). The other thing is that the stat weights/dps increases from stats shift according to what you have already on, so its a very individual situation contingent on what your already wearing. Except fom ArP, which scales harder the closer u get to cap, the other stats become worse in comparison to other stats the more u have of it. Take STR, the more u have of it the more u will benefit from Crit, Haste and ArP to make use of that AP. For very big upgrades this methodological error isnt that impactful, you still come to the right conclusions, but in close comparisons u should sim the exact gear that your already rocking at that point to determine correct stat weights.
I imagine he probably realizes this - but it's simply too many combinations & iterations to present in a digestible format. At the end of the day, he caveats several times that it depends on whether you can make use of excess hit or are expertise starved, etc... As far as ArP this phase, it's basically not going to be worth going for hard cap anyway. So, the basic consensus is keep 1 arp proc trinket + get what you can from gear (no gems). To your point: sim to be sure, your results will differ depending on current gear, YMMV, etc...
It's absolutely worth gemming arp over str at a certain point. I believe the breakpoint is 480 armor pen rating on gear alone. At that point arp gemming becomes worth more than strength...and of course keeps becoming more and more valuable than strength the further ahead of that 480 breakpoint you get. Which means the sweet spot this phase is probably to gear up armor pen, gem to soft cap then gem strength. So you sit right at that point that the runestone will hard cap you. And that will be the proc you base ALL other cooldowns on

Value falls off hard after that til you can reach the ArP hardcap without trinket proc. Again, YMMV, sim it, everyone's gear is slightly different, etc... In general though you're right. Fury is a sleeper alright, in the sense you'll be falling asleep during half of the boss fights in the instance because you can't actually hit them as melee.

We hit soft cap Armour penetration this phase. So strength is looking towards being the better option.

Yes, it seems like using the 4-piece is best overall. I would take the gloves as a tier piece and legs as an offpiece.

Dreambinder for feral dps might beat out the volrethar upgrade for fury warr on simmed dps, iirc it was like 550 dps
