I was not expecting that intro but it was truly powerful and I needed it. I came from a background where I didnt know anyone in tech (still don't) or planned for success. I wasted years of my life partying and making dumb decisions. Over the last few years I realized I only get one shot at my life. I dont get to relive yesterday, last week or last year. What type of role did you get with CCNA? I got mine about 8 months ago and im struggling to find someone that will give me a shot without prior IT experience. But instead of giving up, im learning python to learn how to automate the stuff I learned during the CCNA.
thank you david! im sure this will get buried in the comments but i have been getting into cybersecurity for some time, still young and in high school at the time of typing this. i've built my experience off of your videos among others, and i hope to improve them this year. this includes hosting my own servers on raspberry pi's, coding on github, arduino boards, or building homelabs with docker and kubernetes. overall a good video and i also hope to improve everything this year.

I didn't leave school with any qualifications and had a tough life because of it. I wont give just yet...python, AI, promt engineering is where i want to start, and then carry on from there.
This is one of the realest things I have heard in a very long time and an applicable video to many different people in life outside of cybersecurity that I believe everyone should watch.
I started learning web development in December 2023.. coding is difficult before you begin but very interesting when you started , one thing i know practice makes perfect, once you can keep practicing and putting the hard work you'll enjoy and love what you doing... in a country as Nigeria Tech is the way out to make a very good living...
Love this, David. Been following you for years. Although my problem is I want to do too much. I'm 45 years old and always been in IT, I'm a black belt TKD instructor, I've taught myself the guitar and piano, I study Azure-certs, I learn spanish and japanese AND I'm a dad...the most precious thing to me besides my kids is TKD, piano and guitar, and languages....but there's no money in these. So even though it's at the bottom of my "want to do"-list, studying tech is the most sensible with regards to income and improving my career. And it's very frustrating even though I think it's semi-interesting. I'm kind of getting tired of staring at a computer screen. I've thought about study more music and maybe become a music-teacher. I thought about studying electrical engineering because I find that subject interesting. I thought about studying marine biology because I love the ocean and to dive. I though about going for a MSc in Computer Science, but with the aforementioned tiredness of computer screens and the rapid evolution of AI.... I feel so lost! Do you have any advice for me?
I just subscribed even though I've been listening to you for a while. I must focus myself and your channel is the one I need to focus on, not multiple channels. Thank you.
Can't agree more. I get up a bit earlier, spend 1 hour writing, and take a walk every day. I don't know how it will be, but I feel it really works. I control my day easier. At work, I follow 3-3-3 method. After work, I spend time with my beloved wife and kids. Also, getting to bed a bit earlier.
I don't know who can have negative comments against what you do, because everything that is on your channel is to help others. Thanks for all that you do
I am from India and I work in IT. Almost everyday i listen to Audible when I come back from dropping my kid and school and on the the way to pick up. It is roughly 10mins up and down depending on traffic. I listen 1.5x or 2x and I was able to finish 4 books plus last year and some really long tech and health podcasts like Huberman, Lex Fridman etc. It is a very good service to pay for.
What bum said you're ugly? You do great work David! Thanks for the inspiration! You were my first IT teacher online. I finally got a Help Desk position a year and a half ago after working at The Home Depot for 10 years; I'll be moving to a System Admin position in March. I didn't take the path I thought I would - I thought I would go to networking first. But that is my end goal. I will be a Network Engineer. I'll be rewriting my career goal path in the next few days for this year because of my new job path. But if I can do it, so can anyone else.
Got cybersecurity associate and went to bootcamp for a cybersecurity fundamentals, Network cable, Information technology specialist certification. But I haven't landed a job yet.
today i got certified in CC by ISC2, it cost me a lot, time and study, this was my second attempt, but im ready for the next challange, greetings David, from Costa Rica!!
David, this is outstanding. Where can I find a very, very brief introduction of you to share this on Facebook? You have been sharing tech items for a number of years, but this video is for everyone, tech or not. Five stars.
This years 1. Mastering Asio boost library; 2. Parallelism and concurrency in deep; 3. Stop reading too much books, 4. Stop viewing RUclips only for education purposes. 5. Mastering Trees (like B-trees and more) 6. Make a good programme and libraries in C/C++ 7. Make publication of my old paper in mathematics in Latex 8. Need to stop Internet. Thanks…
Awesome episode! I will definitely be adding these books to my reading list. I've already been putting new things into motion through continued education in the tech world and my own show. Thanks for all that you do with your show. I watch your shows all the time.
Thanks, David for the tips. Looks like I'm on the right track where start picking up Python and utilize AI 2-3 months before 2024. In this year I will be focusing on that for 2024. Hopefully I able to produce my own product.
Thanks alot for sharing all of that with us David. Thats a pretty fluid and impactful testimony to the power of the guided will. Often times, we're more guilty than anyone else of abandoning our own available free will, simply via channels of negativity and in turn, poor decision making. When you take control of your attitude you are literally able to refine your future into almost anything you want it to be.
Mr David. you are so amazing person. your videos and messages are very important! you are not just one of the best tech Gurus in the world but also a top class motivator. keep your blessed work! 🙂
Happy new year David, thank you for this video. I've lost motivation during Christmas, New years, etc. I hit a bit of a slump but this video has reignited that fire in me that makes me want to make a change. I started briefly and fell off but I'm ready to get going again thanks to you. I'm in the IT field already but I'm wanting to shift focus. Keep up the good work, I'm glad I found your channel.
The scary thing is watching news and following geopolitics very closely, it feels like ok dope I know what's going on world and how to maneuver my life. But consuming information and parsing thru disinformation is hard lol but it must be done by discipline. No excuses
Thanks David, you are such an inspiration. Algorithms should put your work to the very top for those of us who need to hear your message. This year I'm learning AI at mid 40s and by this time next year I'll be applying for AI/ML job. Even if I don't get AI/ML job, I'd start consulting services.
Thanks for this David; it's just what I needed. Is there any chance you could put up a link for all the quote graphics used? I'm familiar with a fair few of them, but it'd be great to have them alternating on my desktop. At the moment I just have "Your Future is Hidden in Your Daily Routine".
Inspiring as always! Thanks David! I’m one of your fan(and early student on your ccna - the early adapters of the course years years ago 😅) Now I lead a community and help aspiring Filipino I.T grow and level their career. Thank you so much for being one of my ‘virtual mentor’ 🎉
David your a phenomenal guy and very hard working. Thank you for the words of inspirational. I'm a network engineering, hacker, hacking forensics investigator and currently going for my CISSP. I love teachings others in tech who are weilling to learn is what motivates me. If I can come from a retail background and being security officer to getting in cyber security so can others . Thanks David
Overall great messaging. I disagree with suggesting a non programmers should learn python, golang and rust. It’s better to start with JavaScript and learn to actually build something and work with API’s. Once thats done you can learn python easily - and then move on to a complied language like c++ and then learn golang or rust. It’s not just about learning the language syntax - if you don’t know why rust was created because you’ve never used c, then you only have a very superficial understanding of the language. Go slowly and deliberately - it’s faster in the end.
Thank you, David you are awesome man, I joined you since I have a motive to help poor and middle class people from cyber fraud. I promise myself that I will finish all your videos in next three months, thank you again for motivating everyone, keep it up, your karma will pay you back, god bless you 🙏

Thank You! I would say this video is the best video to start 2024's life. Thank You bro!!!!!
David if your tech channel crashes and burns, you should make a motivational channel. You are a great motivator!
Great example! Thank you for sharing! Agreed - Audible / audio books make such a big difference! Also podcasts like Lex and Huberman.
I will try to watch the beginning of this video every day or week, pure truth. Thank you for it!
Great video David. The introduction is well stated. Thank you for sharing your advice.
thank you for sharing these skills
What bum said you're ugly? You do great work David! Thanks for the inspiration! You were my first IT teacher online. I finally got a Help Desk position a year and a half ago after working at The Home Depot for 10 years; I'll be moving to a System Admin position in March. I didn't take the path I thought I would - I thought I would go to networking first. But that is my end goal. I will be a Network Engineer. I'll be rewriting my career goal path in the next few days for this year because of my new job path. But if I can do it, so can anyone else.
I cannot repeat some of the hate / comments I get .... that is a very mild one compared to some of them. Thank you for your support!
Thanks David , watched your video last year as well. Wonderful way of beginning a new year to watch this inspirational video!
Thanks for the amazing support!
Great Job David 👍

David your awesome and inspiring. TIJUANA México ❤
my mentor. I've learned a lot from your videos. Thank you so much
God bless you brother I feel the message in my soul
David, this is outstanding. Where can I find a very, very brief introduction of you to share this on Facebook? You have been sharing tech items for a number of years, but this video is for everyone, tech or not. Five stars.
Man your right, i recently got into cybersecurity and i have no clue what im doing but.. im willing to learn and adapt.
I paused at 12min. You’re so inspiring it’s unbelievable
Thank you
it was never easy, you have to make yourself tough
This years
1. Mastering Asio boost library;
2. Parallelism and concurrency in deep;
3. Stop reading too much books,
4. Stop viewing RUclips only for education purposes.
5. Mastering Trees (like B-trees and more)
6. Make a good programme and libraries in C/C++
7. Make publication of my old paper in mathematics in Latex
❤❤❤ this is what I needed. Very thankful ,🙏
Thanks David Bombal
You are a legend sir, thank you so much
The scary thing is watching news and following geopolitics very closely, it feels like ok dope I know what's going on world and how to maneuver my life. But consuming information and parsing thru disinformation is hard lol but it must be done by discipline. No excuses
1 hours to improve myself ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, man Great video. Best wishes from Ukraine.
Thanks David, you are such an inspiration. Algorithms should put your work to the very top for those of us who need to hear your message. This year I'm learning AI at mid 40s and by this time next year I'll be applying for AI/ML job. Even if I don't get AI/ML job, I'd start consulting services.
I experience exactly what you have. Plus I am been gang stalked for 40years. Thank you for your advice.
Such a good person this david here
Thanks for this David; it's just what I needed. Is there any chance you could put up a link for all the quote graphics used? I'm familiar with a fair few of them, but it'd be great to have them alternating on my desktop. At the moment I just have "Your Future is Hidden in Your Daily Routine".
I’ve learned some much from you David and you helped me pick a career path. Thank you ❤
Make a video on the cybersecurity roadmap 2024 for beginners. Please
Inspiring as always! Thanks David! I’m one of your fan(and early student on your ccna - the early adapters of the course years years ago 😅)
Now I lead a community and help aspiring Filipino I.T grow and level their career.
Thank you so much for being one of my ‘virtual mentor’ 🎉
I needed this, David! Thank you. This will be my year!
Keep dropping fire content David

I'm going to watch more David Bombal videos 2024
Thank you for videos like this. You're doing great work. I'm studying networking because I wanna be a network engineer. Have a good day! :)
Thank you for this bro!
Love from Bangladesh.
David thank you for these nuggets. They are life changing.Just a suggestion, please read a book similar with those, it will be well received.
This is not only for 2024 it's for our future❤
Thank you, David you are awesome man, I joined you since I have a motive to help poor and middle class people from cyber fraud. I promise myself that I will finish all your videos in next three months, thank you again for motivating everyone, keep it up, your karma will pay you back, god bless you 🙏
