Some great finds. Mother Nature just wanted you to work for it lol you were saying all you had to do was scrape your foot to dig. Happy digging and eat your lunch
Hey Kurt, love watching the hover boys videos! keep on digging I will be trying metal detecting this year hopefully in Canada. Anyways to the point the first coin muck found in this video I could kinda see a man's head facing to the right side hope that helps with identifying the coin. Good luck digging 👍
Awesome stuff! That field really produced. The VA halfpenny was amazing. The soil there is nice. Better than the clay I gotta deal with. I plan on detecting tomorrow. That's my Thanksgiving. Lol. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. Eat up. Lol
Man, Kurt....at first I thought you might be a little "hammered", but then I realized pretty quickly your mouth was half frozen with that weather you guys were working in! 🥶
Did you feel like you were starting over Rick? My very first dig ever, my very first thing was a 1942 Mercury Dime with full reeds. Next signal was a 1962 Washington Quarter, then it was 2 modern house keys, a top half of a Ford car key on a key ring, pull tabs probably 30 or so, several pieces of lawnmower sliced aluminum cans, an old brass faucet and finally a brass garden hose nozzle. I decided that day that I loved the hobby just like you guys do and quarter hoarder and others. My problem is that as a trucker I am only home 4 days per month and I just don't ever have the time. Believe it or not after 15 years of marriage my wife still expects me to spend most of my hometime with her. I just made it home for Thanksgiving and hope you all ( everyone from your channel to your children) have a Wonderful Thanksgiving.
heah Busy Diggin!! Thought I'd check out the latest Hoover Boys because someone compared our channel to theirs.....MINUS the Colonial coins. LOL. We do have a Gary.
Wow! That dandy was a beauty. Gary killed it with the 2 state coppers! Wow! Are u sure that isn't a silver thimble? It looks too good to be aluminum! Happy thanksgiving everyone!
To me, the hard work you put in covering these fields, uncovering amazing old coins and relics , to find and bring back into the light of day in the 2020s ( etc) lost in the centuries past, amazing. Good hard work and excited
What kind of detector do you recommend? Most of my ten acres is open pasture and three acres are heavily wooded with evergreens. We have black dirt here in Texas and hit white rock at 3 to 5 feet down.
With Gary's buttons there's two old Chinese Hulk coins they have a square hole punched in the center in a large ring that means they're not that old but one was just found similar on Oak Island with a narrower rim
wow!!! I can't imagine the day I find an 1800s coin, let alone a 1700s! Still looking for my first Indian too. Anyone in your group looking to get the Manticore?
Some great finds on the day guys. I'm glad you got a copper Kurt!!!

HaHa kurt, guys felt bad for you so they salted the area in front of you. 🤣🇺🇸
Lookin' like winter face already.
At least it waited until December this year.
Pounded site, good scrounging some beauts.
Where would be a good place to purchase certified old coins?
I know you’ve said it before but what is the name of the book you use for button identification?
