The issue I find with all these Chinese tire inflators is they kill batteries quickly. I don't think the brand matters, I owned the Rhino model and the batteries will be dead in around 1 month. Don't confuse Astro AI for Astro Pneumatic, I have personally switched to the Astro Pneumatic 3018 and it is still running on the original batteries 16 months later.
I just checked the inflator and it shows 3 bars for the battery since making this video, 15 months. That’s pretty good. Thanks for the feedback & thanks for watching.
The thread-on chuck will work on RV tires with "beauty disks", lock-on types are too often too bulky. Regular press-on chucks work with RV beauty disks and two hands.
Problem - I watched the whole video. wow, i really did. anyway... not once you mentioned this device's proof of accuracy (and i apologise if i missed it, please point it out) . I just went down this rabbit hole and if you're posh you can buy 4 or 5 of these things then compare from diffrent sources and diffrent reviews - hate me or dont hate me - with the tire sensors these days... being a "LAW". get a certified tire gauge their not expencive. So you are secure with your tires - it takes 10 min to check 5 (the spare) tires. then you can stress less about that stupid light!
Its relatively easy to do it with two hands. Just use one hand to put air in insted of two. when you press down on it to let air in the tire wont move resulting in yo not having to use two hands to hold it.
@@projectpinehills When I am putting ait in the tire I just use one hand to push the iar in the valve. The force that I put on it with one hand is enough to not make it move.
@@projectpinehills LOL Maybe I am misunderstanding but I always use one hande to pump air in my car tire. When I push for the air to go in the tire or valve doesnt move.
I use an pancake air compressor with those locking chucks and I'll set the outflow to whatever the tire requires but it's not a total watchless ordeal as the tire pressure will climb 5 or 10 psi obove what i set the air tank outflow and it'll do that if im deflating a tire so looking for a tire inflate tool that i don't have to constantly have to monitor and won't have overinflate ? The ones you have aren't what I'm looking for but maybe you or someone else knows one . I had a Bauer digital tire inflator that ran of the battery packs but wasn't really good for inflating full sized vehicle tires from totally flat and didn't have a lot of money at the time so taken it back and put my money on a portable air compressor but i still do want a carefree inflation process that can inflate from a flat tire or topping off a tire .
@projectpinehills I forgot to mention I was looking for an automatic tire chuck , so most likely it wouldn't have a trigger or trigger would lock pressed down , like a garden hose , and automatically stops at user selected pressure .
Do not place your hand on those cheap low quality Chinese manufactured tires when inflating . Airing up 22.5 truck tires my remote hose is 6 foot in length . 107/23
Great review, thank you for taking the time. I think you covered all the bases.
Thanks for watching!
After buying a similar gauge I was lost before watching this video.Huge help! Thx
Thanks and thanks for posting! 👍
Just ordered it because of your video, thanks!
Thanks, hope you like it. I recently ordered one as a gift. Thanks for watching!
@@projectpinehills Got it already, and its awesome! Finally an accurate air chuck. Thanks again.
Thanks for letting me know.

Does the locking chuck have threading for a ball inflating needle? Great video, thanks!
No it doesn’t. You have to use the threaded air chuck for that. Thanks and Thanks for watching.

Good point. Thanks for watching and the feedback. 👍
How do you get a shutoff on compressor without air coming out of the air hose when switching to another tool?
The air compressor hose coupler has a valve that shuts off when you remove the tool from the coupler.
I am eyeing the new Snap-on one but it's $240. No real reviews on YT yet. :(
That’s a lot. Thanks for watching!
I just came across on your video, thanks for the info👍🙂 how’s the gauge inflator In overall going on now?
Working well, I’ve seen some others that are nice too but they cost more!
Thank you sir
Thank you for watching! I still use and like this inflator. 👍
How's the overall quality of the AstroAI and durability which I am concerned?
It's great, I've had no issues.
I’ve had mine since 2018 and it’s still going good. I’ve done multiple tires and stuff.
Thanks for sharing.

A comparison to another tire gauge is a good idea. 👍 This tire gauge works great, definitely not something to stress about. Thanks for watching!

What about a valve stem that pushes back into the tire?? 👍
@@projectpinehills When I am putting ait in the tire I just use one hand to push the iar in the valve. The force that I put on it with one hand is enough to not make it move.
That takes some finesse 👍

Right, that’s a tubeless tire. What about when you have a tube? 😁

Milwaukee m18 inflator is what I use, great for trucks. Never thought old like it so much. Thanks for watching!

That's a good point, would make sense to see that feature built in.
Hi great video.
Thanks for watching!
No air is coming out of the chuck what do i do
Compressor pumped up? Remove the chuck and test with no chuck.
