While he was right about wanting to keep the realm intact but he was wrong in letting in rats and snakes whilst thinking that as long as he’s good nothing would happen. He was a people pleaser which ultimately resulted in him dividing both his realm and his house. War was inevitable which is why Daemon is right that it’s no time for diplomacy. Also you’re right Vhagar is a war dragon. She’s basically a great grandma while Arrax was basically a pup. One acted on instinct while one had an traumatic episode. The idea that Targaryens ‘control’ the dragons is an illusion. Sad part is that Storms End was near to Dragon Stone. Luke could’ve easily returned back and his dragon was small compared to Vhagar so he would’ve easily flied faster but because of storm it’s small wings were struggling to remain intact. Luke’s fate was sad that he’s the one who actually pierced Aemond’s eye as a kid and although scared he tried to face things in a civil and brave way. Like someone said, he fought as fiery dragon rider like a Targaryen, went to sea in death like a Valyrian and was brave like a Strong. He also tried to keep up with his promise not to indulge in a physical fight. There’s actually scenarios in books how Aemond killed him but I’m glad with the way they went in show. It makes sense.

We have to go with the characterization of Daemon as the book (Fire & Blood ) and the TV series gives us, not as the actor or we ourselves would have it. In the book, I don't think that Rhaenyra was the great love of Daemon's life; I think Laena was; but so far it's otherwise in the TV series. He doesn't seem to be much of a devoted father in either the book or the TV series. Would Daemon die to protect Rhaenyra and the children? If he happened to be nearby when enemies invaded, he would. But Daemon did, in the books, choose to leave Rhaenyra while war still raged. I also was rather appalled by Daemon's callousness towards his daughters during their mother's funeral on the TV show; and also, in the aftermath of the fight with Aemond - he stands in the doorway just watching after his daughters have been in a fight where two or three boys were hurt, and he doesn't even touch them, let alone see if they're hurt? I think that Daemon's three greatest loves are/were his brother Viserys, Caraxes, and his own self...

Yeah Daemon was definitely just a place holder, Viserys never intended for him to sit upon the Iron Throne and I think with Rhaenyra telling him about the song of Ice and Fire it kind of solidified his own concerns that he was never meant to be king. Lots of conflicting feelings for Daemon. He loved his brother deeply & thinking Viserys named him heir meant more than Viserys ever knew. He also loves Rhaenera deeply, supports her being heir, & can't go against his brother's wishes.

I'm fine with them taking the time they need to get everything right. Plus, people seem to forget that w/Covid, it delayed many projects and visual effect houses are taking on a lot. They should be allowed the time to complete these films/shows to the best of their abilities. As viewers/fans, we're always wanting the next immedialty but it doesn't work that way. There's a number of factors and with HOTD having several battles on the horizon, I want to see them get everything right. Don't know about others, but I have enough to watch. HOTD S2 is another show just to look forward to!

I have a huge passion for great storytelling so I get hyped up and emotionally invested like crazy when I go on these epic journeys! As the book is written from the perspective of biased and unreliable narrators there’s no real spoilers for the dance of the dragons, there’s been some surprises for book readers so far in the show which is cool!

That paper that Otto gave to Rhaenyra from episode 1when she ripped it out the book, that page was about Princess Nymeria fleeing Valyrian Freeholds with her people Alicent sent that page because she's trying to tell Rhaenyra to do what Nymeria did, to flee with her people.
In the book Aemond he kills Luke and because he wanted not to and as he is showing in the series that he is sorry, the name of Rhaenyra's baby would be a girl and her name would be visenya Rhaenyra wasn't dreaming of a dragon giving birth. Her own dragon, Syrax, was screaming in pain at her because they are so bonded. If you notice during the Battle of the Stepstones, Caraxes screams when Daemon is hit by an arrow. this shows how Rhaenyra and Daemon have a great connection with their dragons. Rhaenyra's anger burns the whole transition was so well done, her anger is completely justified compared to how they made Daenarys Daemon as crazy as it gets, he loved his brother. From the scene where he stopped Corlis talking shit about Viserys in ep 1, helping on the throne to mourning on the beach. I don't think Daemon wanted to show weakness because Rhaenyra was at her most vulnerable and it wasn't easy.. (His last wife died in childbirth, and I believe it is also said that his mother died in childbirth and the wife of Viserys died in childbirth.) So the only thing he could do was prepare for the war he knew was coming. The scene on the beach was much longer of him on the beach Matt the actor he shot a scene on the beach the daemon suffering from the death of his baby who was a girl and her name was the series visenya but HBO preferred to remove this scene the daemon he is not no saint anymore he loves his family he loves his children and really rhaenyra just unfortunately the writers prefer not to show that side of him much, i think the reason daemon didnt go to rhaenyra when she was giving birth is because he feared having to make an impossible choice. The last woman he had complications with died. He didn't want to have to make that choice for Rhaenyra. He couldn't lose her that way. When he dropped to his knees, he was relieved that she was okay and had survived. Rhaenyra didn't want help during the birth because of her mother's death. She wanted to get that baby out so she wouldn't suffer the same fate. This series/book is awesome... Matt Smith said that Daemon would give his life for Viserys and Rhaenyra. I fully believe he was heartbroken to see his brother in that condition. we books Alicent she hates Rhaenyra she was always jealous of Rhaenyra so much that I wish rhaenyra's death no and as in the series it shows that alicent is like that and because we books she does things because she because she is a bad person Let's see the losses Rhaenyra lost mother and father and daughter and son and Daemon lost father and mother in childbirth and also lost his wife who is Laena and son and now he lost brother and daughter and two other children They are suffering, but each one of their own ways, the daemon starts preparing for war because he knows Otto very well and he is afraid of losing his family One thing I say is that the two really love each other rhaenyra she can't survive without the daemon They are the best couple like it or not they are everyone's popular Daemyra forever I think the biggest reason people didn't like the scene of Daemon smothering Rhaenyra is because he's supposed to be a bad guy to the greens, but the protector of his family. Daemon isn't a saint, but he's definitely not a villain. He does a lot of bad things, but he's a gray character, and loving his family and protecting them is one of his redeeming qualities and some writers are trying to take that away from him.

I'm a bit stuck for GTA (it won't load the correct game version since the update. So even though I have the updated Script Hook etc it stays stuck on loading screen). Might be a while before I can carry that one on.

Like she said Game of Thrones tells us the civil war doesn't end well, Alot of these people are going to die in the coming seasons as time goes on the targaryen family will slowely wittle down, by no means do they thrive with time.
