Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 Good catch with the Tree Of Life from Norse mythology. Pretty much almost everyone got the same guess connecting the dots with Hiroshima (SuMetal's hometown), in recent interview they said they were impressed by the meaning and reception fans gave to this when they just wanna give a hopeful message with this song. Either way you're gonna enjoy this if you go to a live concert and have a magical moment lighten up this dark world with your phone when SuMetal commands for it. ...

You can find the original live clip version of this at Reactor Resource (BMRR) with logo safe to upload, there's a live compilation and another live edit mixed with clips of this official lyrics to dodge the YT blocks but try the original first at Makuhari Messe 2023, is better watching the full clip without interruptions, also there's another new version live at PIA Arena MM, those are the only proshot footage they released of this. Keep enjoying BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘🌈

Welcome back and great reaction again. I am sure the vast majority of fans were not intending to give you a hard time - bear in mind that for a very large proportion of them English is not their first language so what they type can appear a lot harsher than they mean. They were most likely just trying to say the 'Monochrome' piano version, although it is beautiful and shows off Su-metal's vocals very nicely, is A-typical for BABYMETAL and they wanted you to get the very best first impression and the full experience of what makes BABYMETAL stand out and special ... the best way for you to see that are their live performances. I'm looking forward to you discovering BABYMETAL bit by bit - and take as long as you need, there is a lot to discover.🦊
@@thevictorone That is a shame - and unusual for Babymetal fans (there may be one or two with very strong views on specific things, but song choice is not normally one of those issues). It isn't unknown for fans of a couple of other bands to troll the comments in Babymetal reactions, I hope that wasn't happening.

Babymetal is extremely diverse with their songs, and it takes in my opinion a good 4-6 songs to say you can get a "feel" for what they're like. Great reaction Su's vocals are something special, and Moa's backing vocals just go so well together. Originally, it was Moa and Yui, but after Yui departure after ill health, it was a duo with 3 members called Avengers filling in the third spot .just dancing, not singing, although very capable songers themselves. Long story short, 5 years later, the last Avenger still remaining Momoko was made an official member and gave the metal name Momo Metal añd now sings alongside Moa and looks like a great choice she fits in really well 😁 but you will learn all about them as you continue your journey 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Second time welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 67-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn old jazz / funk lover) [FYI : I witnessed this song performed live at the venue on April 2, the audience (including me) sang that ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Moametal and Momometal, while Su-Metal humming the melody in the sea of phone lights. What a bliss! ] We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
THanks so much for the history and all of the information. Also for taking the time to share it with me. I hope you have a great weekend and I hear from you again soon!!
Excellent reaction! I'm glad you did the lyric video because it gives a visual aspect to the lyrics and the emotion behind this song. Now, you can do the live version next or wait a bit since you have heard this song twice. Headbanger from the Legend 1997 show is a favorite from from their early days. Su-metal (lead singer) was born in 1997 and that is why it is titled as such. The show was in December 2013 a day after her 16th birthday. It is a lot of fun! Kitsune up! 🤘🦊🤘
@@thevictoronesad to head they are giving you a hard time because of what version you hear first. Doesn't matter what version you hear first, you will be impressed and enjoy them either way. Just have fun diving down the foxhole🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction, thanks! The lyric video depicts several explicit images of extreme destruction which can be related with a nuclear blast and its devastating consequences. Also include some allegoric pieces of imagery: the falling umbrellas, the rain, etc. Su-metal is from Hiroshima so, we immediately associated it with the events happened in 1945. Lyrics seem to be highly allegoric as well , with a direct reference to the end of the world, Ragnarok according to the Norse mythology among other metaphors. But they decided to end it with an optimistic message with the only alive tree among the devastation which is probably "Yggdrasil", again from the Norse mythology, a sacred tree representing the link among the 9 different worlds. Almost matching the theme of the concept album: the 10 parallel worlds they discovered when traveling through the Metal Galaxy. Or it could be also one of the survivor trees in Hiroshima also known as"Hibakujumoku" (literally A-bombed tree). Not to mention the final lines: "We will illuminate the world in rainbow colors. Just smile". "Monochrome" is on their softer side, so to speak. Now, you need a banger... and to see what they really do: "Headbanger" (Live at Legend 1997): ruclips.net/video/QEsOaMbNFww/видео.html Until next time! 🤘🦊
The video uses various metaphorical images to illustrate the lyrics. Many people associate fireworks with bombs, but everyone has their own interpretation. There is an image of a tree, which some people say resembles "a tree called Aogiri in Hiroshima. The song can be interpreted in various ways, but the message is "hope for the future. It is "illuminate the world in rainbow colors Just smile.
Really glad you looked at this one - LIVE is also worth watching - but almost anything else (maybe not gimme choc or elevator girl, or first take "The One") - headbanger 97 is ALWAYS a good goto :D. The meaning behind Monochrome is made more obvious in the lyric video if you pay attention and know a little basic history. This group is amazing and virtually never disappoint. Good reaction!
