Uncovering the Mystery of Chinese Ghost Cities

After the Evergrande Groups collapse in 2021 after the pandemic, the Chinese real estate market has been having a rough time, to put it mildly. With multiple bankruptcies and government measures taken, many ghost cities have formed in China due to the over saturation of unaffordable inventory.
These failed cities include almost comical attempts at trying to replicate Paris, Manhattan, and even London...all of which have failed to this point. Part of the blame lies in the greed of the investors, part on other macroeconomic matters.
