Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 The moment I heard that vocaloid (Hatsune Miku) style i knew Yuyoyuppe (aka YuppeMetal) was behind this song which also reminds me a lot to Kagerou, and no wonder why, he's the one behind that song too and he gives that BM style unique sound in songs like Karate, Rondo Of Nightmare, Megitsune and Monochrome recently. MoaMetal is also a fan of his work despite the ridiculous time signatures that torture them lol We also got the first full English lyrics of this new album after a while and the first time released in Japan. They already got three songs entirely in English but those were released internationally. Part of this was written and recorded 5 years ago, like they said, this is a collaboration between past and present selves, and is about the fact that you don’t see the same thing that others see, the English lyrics express a different personality and pov. Here's some official info: Believing (INVERTED MIRROR REFLECTION) _Even if the seasons change and time passes, some things remain the same and some change. When light reflects in the mirror, what appears are two faces and two relative worlds. Who should we believe: someone else’s words or your own?_ Some fans were enjoying this recently at Asian Tour. There's a live proshot version at PIA Arena MM with a watermarked logo you can find at NLMetal if you want. Kitsune up and see you next time!🦊🤘🔥
Great reaction, thanks! "Believing" is definitely one of my favorites off The Other ONE.I can't decide about an absolute favorite. And even less when I noticed that "Light and Darkness", which I initially considered way outside my alley musically, was right there (honestly, they kill it live). But returning to "Believing", it might have a message to the fans, specially to those who still live in 2017 and never accepted the changes they were forced to do in 2018. The song was written (and recorded) around that time and this is what Su-metal said about it (thanks to funnytoss for the translation): SU-METAL: This is the first song on an album released in Japan that has lyrics entirely in English. I mentioned earlier that English lyrics express a different personality, and it’s the same for this song’s message. It’s from someone else’s point of view, and is about the fact that you don’t see the same thing that others see. I think expressing this in English is quite interesting, and fits well with the concept of THE OTHER ONE, which is another world of BABYMETAL. This song was actually both written and recorded about 5 years ago. If you listen to it carefully, you can still hear a more childish voice, and it’s a collaboration between our past and present selves. Until next time! 🤘🦊
It‘s interesting with BABYMETAL: Especially in regard to the songs of the latest album, I tend to find them very poppy. Then someone comes along and makes a remark about how heavy they are, and I wonder „Are they?“. Then I listen more consciously and notice „Damn, they really are“. Then again at other times my attention gets drawn to the sweet, poppy melodies. That’s one of the cool things about this band, even for an older fan like me: There are so many facets to the music (and shows) that they work in different ways depending on the mood and state of mind. As a result, I have never got bored with their music despite having listened to them every single day for about six years now.
Great reaction. They have two or three songs with full English versions, but those versions were only ever on the international releases of the albums - 'Believing' is the first time they have sung a song entirely in English and it has appeared on the Japanese edition of the album.
I have really enjoyed this album. It has a good assortment and atmosphere, although I miss having an over the top fun song or two. I think I may have mentioned on ine of your Fate Gear videos that Nana their most used vocalist has her band called Gungire. They have recently created a channel and have four songs now. This is one of them and something you will enjoy I think.ruclips.net/video/qG9FFYp0h8I/видео.html
I get that. At first I found myself saying personally "where's the road of resistance sounding song"😅. But nevertheless, I really like the album 🤘 and cheers for the recommendation 👍
