Also, during the Tamiya motorized tank model era, they made two versions of motorized models for the same tank. One version only allowed the tank to move forward, the box for that version is white with no background scene. The other motorized version of the same tank would come with a remote control with wires attached, had two separate motors and gearboxes, it would allow the tank to turn left or right by just moving one track, forward or backward, or it could make sharp turns by moving one track forward and the other one backward. It was so cool for kids who built it. The version with the remote, the box had a painting of the tank with various battle scenes in the background. The artists who drew those pictures for Tamiya were true master artists. Sadly, those days are long gone. The picture on the box of this M41 had been updated, the very first Tamiya M41 that came out had a better picture, with the commander operating his radio. The several soldier figures that came with this one was never in the very first Tamiya M41. And the tank was motorized.

Nice work, having done a few in the past.. The mufflers go inside the hull underneath , and through the apertures.

Most of you probably didn't know that the early Tamiya tanks models were motorized with a small DC motor mounted in a gearbox and power by 2 or 3 batteries. Later, Tamiya converted them to display only.

Very nice build with an inferior product.
I wish they would come out with a new bulldog tank to replace this one
