Welcome to "Circular Revolution", the meeting point where the circular economy and the fourth industrial revolution intertwine, opening paths towards a sustainable future. On this journey, we will explore the transition from a linear economy, marked by resource scarcity and the Earth's overcapacity, towards an ecological economy, which puts sustainability and sustainable development at the center. We will discover how the local economy is nourished by this transition, illustrating it with real examples of the circular economy, while we unravel its meaning and the opportunity cost of not adopting a green economy. The collaborative economy emerges as a viable response to these challenges, contributing to achieving sustainable development goals. At the heart of this revolution is the fourth industrial revolution, characterized by digitalization, artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain and advanced manufacturing, essential components of what is called industry 4.0. Through this journey, we will reflect on the ecological footprint we leave behind, and how, by adopting these innovations, we can shape a future where prosperity and nature coexist in harmony.
