- Many reviewers have talked about the first Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers game for the Super NES. But few have compared the first four Power Rangers games to each other! Which is really the best of the best? Miketendo gets the discussion going with part one of a two part episode of "Dude, You Haven't Played This Game?!"
Part two coming soon!
Special thanks as always to Nickelpunk for the awesome intro. Haiku music courtesy of incomptech.com/music and The Power Rangers TV theme and City Level remix by none other than Brian "SCIENCE!" Siecienski. Игры
It was REALLY difficult to try to separate myself from all the other reviews out there for these games, including yours! I was specifically trying to make sure I wasn't watching anybody else's reviews of these games and tackling more obscure issues.
i actually liked the Sega version better as a kid, the lack of a green ranger really killed the snes version of the snes version for me. As a kid i liked Tommy so much my favorite colour was green and then white when he became the white ranger the eventually red when he went red in neo or whatever it was called. and though i by this point had not watch years by this point i watch Dino thunder when i saw they brought Tommy back. But you make really good points about both versions. and i did like that in the snes version you start off as the teens before you morph. to me it felt true to the show on how they would always deal with some random putty patrol unmorphed before morphing for the tougher fights.
Despite the lack of green ranger, I still prefer the SNES version for the gameplay alone. I agree that he really should've been in it...I wonder if the game was made prior to him being introduced. But still, the Sentai version had him so you'd think that they would include him anyways.
From what I've heard about the Sega CD version, it's essentially a few episodes mushed together on a disc.
Now I get why I watch you all the time. You look like Leo from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. XD
Do I?! I haven't seen LG so I don't know.
Check the opening of Lost Galaxy. You'll be surprised.
I recommend taking a looksy at the SNES manual available online. It's weird how the game features such odd throws. Typical toss or slam, pummel and . . . air to air throw? Never seen anything like that in a beat'em up. I've finished a bunch of Power Rangers fighting game stuff and even included the end battle for the SNES game. You should take a look at the description to realize how silly the attack damage data is. Also, do a youtube search for Power Rangers Hidden moves. The Genesis version has special moves no one knows how to perform accurately. Wish I figured it out but . . . for reasons I mention in that episode on my channel, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
In the Sega Genesis versus mode, if one player picks Megazord and one picks green ranger, you can recreate the battle in Green With Evil pat 4 with the Megazord takes on a giant green ranger.
That's pretty neat!
Nice i was a big fan of the SNES and Game Gear Power Rangers games, Genesis looks to be pretty similar to the game gear...have you played the Sega CD version of Power Rangers?
Its morphin time!!!!
my favourite was Power Rangers The movie on the SNES.
did you ever get an answer as to why there was no green ranger?
Nope. :(
Thumbs up!
genesis does! Green Ranger!
I know, right?! Bums me out that SNES didn't get him.
7:23 Really? Are we actually asking what might be a little...um...off about Billy?
It's the overalls...isn't it?
Why not? It IS 2019 after all.
