-Always keep an old or cheap back up phone
-Wait for huge discounts, promos, loyalty or trade-in offers
-Contracts 2 years max
-Only get used if price is unbeatable
apple certified refurbished is a good choice for a good balance of price and quality

Mine got horizontal green lines all over the screen after the 18.0.1 update. No damage nothing yet Apple charging ₹25k for screen replacement.
im using 12 mini and will use until phon screen fall, then will upgrade to refurbished second latest iphon
Great video with some honest and solid advice. I’m using 13 Pro since its launch and plan to use it for further 2 years. Will be getting my mum a 14 Plus to replace her now-obsolete 8 Plus.
I changed my iPhone 13 Pro battery, at the Apple Store, last month refused to upgrade to 16. This is the longest I had a phone for 3 years; I use to upgrade every year.
Just buy the phone you have money for. I was marinating myself for 3 months thinking what to buy, whats the best value for price. Should i buy 13 pro? Or 14 pro? What if they are refurbished. At the end of the i got tired of thinking and just bought 15 pro used with 100% and perfect condition for really good price. Just buy what you have money for and what you really want
I got an iphone SE 2022 for less than 200 dollars with no issues besides that it has had a panel changed (it is a genuine apple panel)
My Man U should hav bought an iPhone 11 or 12 used😂 it’s better than SE
@@jlbruiser wasn't in my budget at that time, i live in pakistan and bought the SE 2022 for exactly 118 dollars, 2 months after the launch of 15 so its a pretty good deal, and the 11 or 12 used to cost for more than 250 dollars

@@mrbe.astt. i love it, based on my usage these days i can use the phone 2 days without charging from 100 to 0 but if i start to use it like normal 4 to 5 hours per day it can give me 10 hours
@@mrbe.astt. with 5 hours of on screen time i can get 8 to 10 hours per day but these days since i hardly use it for 2-3 hours it lasts me 1.5 days
I have an iPhone 11. The battery last me 3 to 6 hours depending on use. This video posted at the perfect time. I was debating getting a 14 or a Galaxy or just replacing the battery on my 11.
Replace battery and wait till next year to buy iPhone 16 after iPhone 17 launch
I got my iPhone 13 in 2022 and it still works as new. I don't see any reason to upgrade atm

After years of only dealing with Samsung flagships, I tried the 13 Mini, and I had it for two years. It was my favourite phone ever. I sold it last year because I convinced myself I needed the Pixel 8, which broke down a few weeks ago. I replaced it with a Pixel 9, and it felt really out of place, expensive, screaming for attention. Realised that I made a mistake and returned it the next day.
I bought a used 13 Mini a few days ago, and I'm glad to be back to it!

my 12 pro got a board issue a couple months ago, i bought a used 13 pro, now i feel like ur ordering of the new iphones to buy is very bad. 120hz seems useless but its so nice to have that imo if ur gonna spend 800$ on the new iphone 16, might as well spend 1000 on the pro
this video helped me decide to keep my 14 pro max with 99% battery health rather than "upgrade" to the 16 pro max. thank you so much. i also have an SE 3 as a backup. I think im good for a while.
My 14 pro max after 2 years still at 86% battery health I am still using it I will use more 3 years with out changing any thing in the phone no problems at all 😊
@@mohammadmajid8051 heck yeah! I just returned my 16 pro max. I get so caught up on trying all the phones that it honestly becomes a nightmare. I’ve sold all the phones I bought for reviews and I’m just going to focus on my 14 pro max.

Nice video! I wanted to buy the iPhone 14 from Amazon but then it said it’s £962 when the freaking iPhone 15 was £799. Explain how the older phone is more expensive lol. Since it’s my first iPhone and I’m gonna upgrade from a poco x3 pro (budget phone) I think I might go for a 15 or a 16 as I’d rather invest now so I don’t gotta buy later…
did you get the 15 new from apple for 799?
Nah not yet. I’m probably gonna upgrade in February. That way I can at least see what apple intelligence is to make a better decision.
I'm also doing my research since it's gonna be my first iphone and I don't know if it's better to get a budget phone since I don't really care about having the phone of the year or if it should be better to buy 15 or 16 and spend 7 years with it lol

@guisas123 it rly depends on what ur willing to to do. If ur willing to spend the extra money then yh get the 15 or 16 (or 15 pro). I wrote 15 pro as well bc of apple intelligence can help u but I’d say what for the update to roll out then decide if u want a budget phone or not. Another good option is the iPhone 14 pro.
im using an iphone Xs Max and its runs like a charm. best parts is this phone doesnt break the bank to buy and two, it is still receiving updates and runs great on IOS 18(SO FAR)!!!

Literally just bought one of these the other day to review. The pro max’s are MASSIVE 😂😂. Compared to my 12 mini
Watching on a Redmi go, costs about 30$ in today's money.
1GB of RAM and Snapdragon 430 and 16 gb storage. Not gonna say it's good, it's slow AF. But it works and it makes me wanna get a 13 mini.
I'm buying a 16 plus because I have 2 samsungs and want to try iPhone, also the battery isn't good. Also I want try out the 16 plus in store first.
11 Pro isn't looking too bad considering it's the same as an iPhone SE 3 64GB for 256GB. Also was known for, and still has great battery life. 13 Mini is also starting to look like a nice budget option, and the 13 Pro 128GB is also great for people who want promotion for cheap
The 11 pro is near the edge of being out of support so it's not going to get you by for 2+ years
The issue for me with the 11 pro max is that it’s going to get supported for only one more year and the phone in general is already showing its age
If you need a new phone and don't really care about the latest generation, get an apple refurbished. That's how I got my 12 mini last year.
14 pro and max are good used phones but for the base 14, just get the 13 unless you will get the plus.
I dropped a dumbbell on my 12 mini last week.... Still works fine, but I was so sad when I realized I had dropped it on my phone

Look for cheap carrier-subsidized iPhones under 2-year contracts. Got my 15 Pro Max for $725 plus a cheap 4G plan. Always wait for a huge promo discount and get the iPhone about 8 months old or older.
It may sound silly, but for me, the best iPhone to "buy" in in 2024 and beyond is the one I already have. It's value goes up the longer I use it. I do appreciate this video, because about half of me wants to sell my SE for a better camera!

Longevity and 'it just works' are not exclusive to iPhones. I have a 3 year old £200 xiaomi that is still functioning perfectly and will continue to do so for years to come.
@@WillFrost99 I had an iPhone 6s Plus that was being used since 2015 and I stopped using it last year because it physically wouldn’t turn on. That’s 8 years while having security updates.
