  • We 3D printed A LOT of miniatures with a bottle of resin. Really… A LOT!
    We went through 32mm miniatures, 75mm, a whole bundle, and some cool props… Many things you can use in your RPG table. If you're a D&D player that's going to make your player go NUTS!
    We did all that using our brand new Uniformation GKtwo RESIN 3D printer, and we got a challenge for you now, that is to choose what would you print with only one bottle of resin! 👀
    You guys know that we experiment between resin 3D printing and FDM 3D printing, but we still use resin a lot more! So one bottle...not enough for us, but what about you?

    Hi Loot Studios! I recently subscribed and im so excited to get some of your minis on the table. I can see that the new welcome bundle feature the Silent coin taproom. I was just wondering what happened with the old silent coin tavern and inn. Is there a bundle where i can get my hands on that file, its like its just gone from the website??

    Amazing video ! But how the duck two "75mm" are not the same height if they are both "75mm" ? How do you scale it ?

      Also, do you know how much it will vary if printed hollow ?

    • @mguatimosim
      @mguatimosim 3 месяца назад +5

      The scale is based upon a generic 75mm medium human model.
      A 75mm scale gargantuan dragon might be 11 inches tall because what's supposed to measure 75mm is the medium human model.

      Here in brazil we pay R$ 250, 300, 350. Sometimes we pay something like 120 in one bottle of simple standart resin buying it on marketplaces or import. In the stores or who manufactory your own resin.. well the price is so high such 350 "reais". so think... 1 dollar = 5 reais. thats a lot of money. So if you have 12 or 30 bucks €, we pay 65,47 or 163,67 but who is selling it want some gain... and take it to 100% or 200%... easily we pay 250 reais in one bottle. there is no way out man...

    Its a bit sad, that you didn't measure how much resin was ACTUALLY used.
    Those estimations are pretty ok, but they ignore the fact that you will never be able to not loose resin when removing the models from the plate - not to mention, that hollow miniatures also trap resin holes prevent permanent trapping, but it will still be inside during the print.
    I would recommend to ALWAYS have at least 10% buffer for any irregularities.
    Believe me, its not fun to be sweating about the amount of resin left in a 500ml print...

    • @LootStudios
      @LootStudios  2 месяца назад +1

      thats why we added a 25% margin of waste in our calculations ☺

    • @player-ye3hk
      @player-ye3hk 2 месяца назад

      @@LootStudios Ah, sorry - missed that.
      Sadly still an estimation - probably even pretty pessimistic.
      I'd be mad if 25% of my resin ended up in the IPA.
      Would have to exchange it much more often...
      Don't take this the wrong way - I like that you did it, the title just felt a bit clickbaity which is unusual for your videos (actually something I like about your channel, usually the video is exactly what the title say ;))

      They literally did the math…

    • @LootStudios
      @LootStudios  3 месяца назад +4

      We calculated an expenditure of 7ml to 12ml per 32mm miniature. You can literally print up to a hundred minis with these numbers, even considering the margin of waste. I don’t know how you're doing your math, but these are the ones we used in the video 😉
