Chuck Taylor- Having empathy and being supportive actually means you are emotionally competent. You don't honestly care about someone's name all that much. It's a dumb thing to care about compared to issues that actually matter. And besides, there are much worse names to have.

I thought the hair was fake, or stage makeup to be honest cuz it just looked so out of place with her prettiness. Would never have assumed its a real beard. And now that shes getting it lasered off, she can have her beauty unobstructed. Easy fix. I hope she sees herseld as beautiful too.

I know how she feels, I have PCOS and it had ruined my teens and part of my twenties. It makes you feel like something really is wrong with you, and people don't understand unless they have it too. People questioning your gender, your lifestyle when you just want to be normal and you feel normal. It's hard and I know that same embarrassment-- people looking at you like you're a freak and laughing when you can't control it. I hope people can understand after watching this that a lot of women suffer in silence who have this, it's not fun.
I had asked doctors in the past and they just told me it's common for women to grow some facial hair without helping me or giving me any real answers and I just had to accept that I would never be pretty. I had dealt with this for years in silence till a friend who was a nurse actually explained what it is and the fact that I had a name for it made me feel so much better given that I was 23 and finally had an answer, that I wasn't some kind of monster. I hope she can grow from this and that people and the cruelty in their ignorance can take a step back and see the bigger picture.

I'm surprised that PCOS is still a surprise to some. It is very common and I wish more people understand the issues...medical/physical/emotional that it creates. It affects women of all races, sizes, and economic statuses. I do not have it, but have had many friends dealing with it. Many didn't know what was going on until fertility issues came into play. Good luck to her!

PCOS is one of the most difficult endocrine disorders to deal with as it causes these effects as well as other physical effects like facilitated weight gain, (while it's extremely hard to lose weight), diabetes, severe and painful acne, irregular periods, and many other symptoms. It can also cause a major on-bringing of emotional effects such as anxiety and depression, and eating disorders. As a PCOS sufferer myself, I have experienced ALL of these symptoms, and it has truly been overwhelmingly difficult to deal with. I am so, so incredibly proud of this woman. To bring this disorder to the public's attention and to step out and question her symptoms national television is yet another big step towards getting more answers for this disorder. Much love towards this beautiful soul. She deserves all the things she received from stepping forward to the public and more. ❤️

I know this is difficult to believe but you don't have to LIVE WITH PCOS you can do natural thing to get RID OF IT. I had endometriosis a 6.9 cm cyst AND a fibroid. I was told they wanted to do surgery to remove the cyst and they wanted to put me on birth control to help reduce the cyst and to control the endometriosis. I was in crazy pain and took 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 4-6 for at least 6 months. A friend recommended me to the people that help her CURE her thyroid AND lung CANCER within 5 months as opposed to the year treatment of chemo. I went to them and my whole life is changed my cyst is now 2cm, fibroid is so tiny they can hardly see it and the symptoms of the endometriosis is GONE. All I did was change my diet and take natural things for my hormones.
The girl has high testosterone and most likely it's her adrenals that need to be fixed so they can balance out her hormones. Don't listen to these doctors, modern medicine has been around for only a little over 100 years. They don't know it all and you can do "alternative medicine" that's been around for centuries and FIX your problem, and have babies.
BTW birth control is synthetic hormones and that's really NOT good for you, you can take natural things that will fix your hormones and not prevent you from having children.. Agnus cactus is one, put you gotta find out what your levels are at. Don't just live with it FIX IT!!

I will rephrase that. My gynaecology doctor said that having a child may help my hormone levels after the pregnancy, and now I am more or less symptom free. I use the progesterone only pill to help regulate my hormones too.
I am noticing some new symptoms, but it may be that I am pre-menopausal. I have other health issues that may also be factors too.
As with lots of health conditions , the PCOS is stable for the moment, but that may well change in my 40's. I am 40 in 2 weeks time.

I've been suffering since I was 10. I would literally kill for this help. I just want to go one day without dealing with it.

I totally understand her pain and frustration. I have PCOS along with all the symptoms that come with it except for acne. Drinking spearmint tea has actually helped slow the growth of my facial hair and DCI has helped me with regular menstruation.
I used to think PCOS was a death sentence but after much research and listening to my body it is now under control.
I wish her the best and hope that the laser hair removal gives her the confidence she needs to see her beauty and kick PCOS in the derrière😊
