Central Market is a more 'upscale' HEB - basically, they just have more imported foods/wines, etc. Living abroad, I really miss their stores and Central Market is my favorite :(
"Hatch" is a particular type of Chili that is famous and is only grown in and around Hatch, New Mexico. and ONLY that variety of chili can legally gown there and be called Hatch chilies. they can be Green(non-ripe) or Red(fully ripe). each color gives a different flavor profile that is literally an addiction in New Mexico and that area of the USA. People drive for hundreds of miles this time of year(Sept-Oct is harvest time) just for these chilies. and i will admit i am addicted to them too and currently making baked Burritos made with both red and green chilies, Using both on a dish is called having it "Christmas" style in New Mexico.
Oh wow! We didn’t know about hatch chillies at all. Thank you for writing this all out for us! Sounds awesome!! Love that using them both is Christmas style!!
I worked for HEB for 16 years and live in San Antonio. It started as a small business in 1905, is mostly in Texas and Mexico. Employees are called partners and also can be invested in the company. It is a major grocery store in Texas and sells all name brands as well as their own. If you come to Texas you will see them everywhere. Make sure you try the True Texas BBQ. Central Market is a branch of their stores that gears towards more fresh and international foods . We have Central Market is San Antonio, Austin and Dallas. Glad you enjoyed a little bit of Texas!
@@ThisWithThem yes, it is one of the top rated employers in Texas, and I only left due to some health issues, the benefits are amazing for the employees and they are always doing good things for the community. I hope you guys can come visit Texas soon! We're not just cowboys and ranchers, lol.. a lot of things to do here!.. as the holiday season approaches,I wish you all a great and blessed holiday season!!..thanks for all you do!
HEB is the best! We're always trying the different flavors of chips every time we get groceries. We LOVE spice here in San Antonio. HEB has national brands, as well as their own brands in store, but we mostly prefer the HEB branded items. They are better prices, and have more flavor/variety. I feel at home watching y'all eat HEB foods with the Buc-ees beaver on screen as well ☺️. Can't wait for box 2!
H.E.B. is the best! They have some of the most awesome snacks! We are very proud of TX and the people who live here! I'm happy you enjoy a taste of TX! So much love from San Antonio TX ❤️ 💓 💕 💗 💛 💖
I clicked so fast when I saw you did another H-E-B box after the H-E-B Christmas themed box we sent two years ago. Time flies! Can’t wait to see part II, the Buffalo chips (crisps) are one of my favorite flavors! Alexia from Austin, TX ❤
H-E-B is basically main grocery store in Texas. They have a deli and a pharmacy too. They sell a wide range of products. They have their own brand but they also carry other brands.
I had to laugh when I saw your description! I just got home from HEB and I bought HEB chips too! Much love from Austin, TX. I always look forward to Thursdays 😊.
HEB has different brands from other companies (even a little UK section!) They have a few brands of their own. They have gotten into production and most of their stuff is great. They also run their own power station so they aren't subject to the pitfalls like our Snowpacolypse when most of TX lost power.
Charles E Butt started the grocery store a long time ago. He set up a retreat for groups that a lot of people use for school/Church trips. He refused to sell alcohol in the store but it was sold in the late 70s or early 80s and now they carry standard beers and wines.
HEB has another store called Central Market. You get fresher fruits and veggies and you can get some stuff from around the world...they have a Portugal in the last month.
Hoping to do some more countries again soon. Did you check out our Tim’s video? Part two coming this Thursday. Go Canada 🇨🇦 We also have some more recent videos with UK foods!
Hatch is a chili pepper grown in the Hatch Valley of New Mexico.
Ahhh now that makes sense. Thank you Joey

Would love to visit a central market one day!! Where are you living now?
You should! I'm from the Dallas area in Texas and now live in Italy. Lovely food here but the grocery stores cannot compare to that!@@ThisWithThem

Thank you so much for this information. Really interesting to read. So cool you worked there for 16 years. Was it a nice company to work for?

It seems so awesome from what we’ve seen! We really would love to visit a HEB in person one day! ❤️💕❤️💕 So nice how proud everyone is of it!
We love HEB. They have their brand in most things, but they also carry national brands also.
Sounds so awesome
I love all this H‑E‑B praise
So good!!!!

Sorry you can’t enjoy them but I’m glad you can still enjoy watching us try them!
I had to laugh when I saw your description! I just got home from HEB and I bought HEB chips too! Much love from Austin, TX. I always look forward to Thursdays 😊.
Love that you just got home from a HEB yourself! Hope you got some nice treats! Thank you so much for watching our videos

Wow everything looks delicious! We don’t have HEB up north and I will never go to Texas so I will be missing out.
Shame you can’t get HEB up north! Wonder if they will ever expand
Been a while since I’ve caught one of your videos, sorry. Congratulations on the gorgeous wedding Kate
Hey Megan! Lovely to see you back. Thank you so much for the congratulations
HEB is the best grocery store and I miss being able to shop there since I moved to Kansas City.
Ah such a shame you don’t have a HEB now

That’s so cool! HEB sounds awesome
So awesome hearing more about the store, thank you
When counting 10 weeks (for 10 episodes) from Christmas, a new WTF's season should start next week. Doesn't it? :)
HEB has another store called Central Market. You get fresher fruits and veggies and you can get some stuff from around the world...they have a Portugal in the last month.
Ahhh I’ve heard of centra, market but I didn’t realise that was the same central market! How cool
Thanks
H E Butts was the founder of HEB. It is not all over Texas. They do sell most big name brand products
Love his surname haha. Oh awesome, thanks for letting us know
Need a cold beer with the spicy chips!
Definitely 💯
Never tried anything from Heb but wow these all look delicious. I love sweet onion, I love spicy. Yum!
You’d definitely love all of these then Stacie!! so so good
All of those looked delicious and especially the black truffle. And you're right about truffle pasta. It can be a bit much. Have a good one.
Yeah can definitely be a bit too much but those crisps were perfect!
We will support you all. Keep working hard.
Thank you so much Sophia
The spicy are really good with a sandwich or something because it gives even the simplest sandwich, LIFE! Lol
Yes!!! Such a good idea. Love when a sandwich can be made more epic with chips!!!
Kate and Alex are you still doing boxes I couldn’t find new videos except this one I hope you are you 2 are my favorite
Hey!! Yes we are still doing Candy box :D
Kate I'm curious why you shake the bags before you open them?
Central Market Chips has Charles Butt signature after description in the back. Same name as the HEB chips
Oh cool!
honey works welll to get rid of heat from spice on the tongue I have to use it when I eat spicy foods
Oooo not heard that one before. Will have to give that a try
Hatch is a green chili
They do hatch chili everything once a year. Cookies too
@@marinarbekka got to love those hatch green chili burgers from Whataburger!
Ahh thank you dawn. We’d never heard of hatch chilli before
@@ThisWithThem I love them
Kate, instead of bread, try milk chocolate. The fat binds with the compounds that cause the heat and makes it better.
Will grab some chocolate next time, thank you ☺️
I once saw a salad dressing that was Hatch chili flavoured. I couldn't figure out why someone would want their salad to burn their mouth. LOL
Ooo yeah haha I wouldn’t want my salad to burn my mouth either haha 😝
I have been to an HEB in TX where our son and daughter n law. It was a nice store.
Oh awesome! Glad it was a nice store
Kate and Alex, I bet it was fun at H-E-B
Sadly we didn’t get to go but these chips were delicious to try!
In Australia we say “pee-can” not “pi-carn”😊
You’re like us in the UK then as we say pee-can too 😂
We def. Like our spicy food. Just for reference NONE of those are even a little spicy to me personally. They just have a good flavor to me
Would love to one day not find those spicy!!! You must be able to handle a lot of heat then 😂
Hi Kate and Alex 🇺🇸🍿🍪🍬🍫
Hi Little Debbie 🍊🍫
Hi Penny 🐾🐶😮😮
Hey Helena. Hope you’re well 😊
Hey Kate & Alex how are you guys doing?
Hey Sharlisha we are doing well thank you. How are you doing? 🥰
This With Them welcome & I am doing good thank you for asking 🥰
HEB has other brands, it's just a big grocery store
Oh awesome, thanks dawn
❤❤❤
Hey Vicky 😀😀😀
The B in HEB stands for Butts. For real.
No way 😂😂 that’s amazing
Not a fan of jalapeno. Hatch is awesome!
Seems spicier than jalapeno
You pronounce it 8tch-e-b.
Ahh thank you Lisa
No problem.
I wish there was more variety of videos, lately is all American snacks
Hoping to do some more countries again soon. Did you check out our Tim’s video? Part two coming this Thursday. Go Canada 🇨🇦 We also have some more recent videos with UK foods!
