Now the Chi loved what he was doing, but that also sparked their imaginations too, but they wanted to not just mix existing music, but CREATE THEIR OWN DANCE MUSIC! This was the distinction that led to "House Music"! Chicago producers started experimenting with keyboards, drum machines etc creating a particular sound of dance music with repetitive hooks. They took their "newly created" sounds to the local DJ's. Frankie was one of the first to play this newly created music-it was different than the mainstream records that he was used to mixing. Frankie was the first to play the new music for the club, but he didnt create it. House music was in fact created by Chicago amateur music producers who were experimenting.
