@afgmuscl3 thats what i was saying. orthodox fighter moves to the left, and southpaw moves to the right. if an orthodox fighter moves to his right., that is equivalent of backing up. If a southpaw (like alexander) keeps moving to his right, the orthodox fighter will move to his right as well. limiting the power from the hook, or cross. And my point is Alexander needs to keep moving to his right to make the left hook, right cross harder to land.

@afgmuscl3 southpaws are taught to move to the right against orthodox fighters. easier to weave under and block as long as your hands are up. better than moving left and eating a right cross.

kevin cunningham has a unique way of training fighters i would`nt mind working with him for a short while to get used to his style

@afgmuscl3 thats how a southpaw should move. when he moves taht way the other guy would have to move to his right..and for an orthodox fighter that's like back up..thus limiting the power from the left hook.

@afgmuscl3 well devon is a south paw.he is suppose to move to his right..to get away from the power punch...basic boxing technique.most boxers style is orthodox so south paw train to move to the right..orthodox train to move to the left.boxers usually throw combinations before throwing a hook and in that case it wont matter what stance your on...you wont usually see a boxer throw a a hook with out setting it up first you will probably get knocked out if you do. see mayweather knock out hatton

@mrjones501 No an orthodox fighter would have to move to his left if he was trying to stop a southpaws movements. Moving to the left will make the orthodox fighters left hook stronger

Doesn't anybody else think he moves to his right to much? He could easily walk into a left hook.

@afgmuscl3 So you fear a lefthook more than you fear the straight right? Come on... Everyone knows that the left hook is a sweet weapon against a southpaw, but for the southpaw to move into the rights distance - that's completely stupidity.

khan will smash him cos he is open to the right hand worse then maidana and ortiz..khan luvs to throw that 1,2 and guess what??he happens to be the fastest combo puncher in the sport(ring magazine has him at no1) devon also has overrated power..i mean urango ko was immpressive but it was just a well timed shot when urango was in the air throwing his wild 1..bradley beats him anyway so there wont be any talk of him after that
