God I felt that!!!!! I’ve been insecure about my teeth and I saved my money to fix my teeth on my birthday. I got braces a week ago. I’m in so much discomfort and pain but anything for a nice smile!
Me too. I broke my two front from a bike as a kid. Had bonding over and over. No root canal. Finally got both crowned. I am so confident.

I had the same teeth broken the same way (face first fall) when I was 10. I'm 37 now and just had crowns done last week. Same story, this is life changing. I'm currently waiting for the permanent crowns!

@@haji5059 yes, i take .5mg xanax before dental work (which my dentist kindly prescribes) and have no problem sitting for crowns. I have never been sedated with gas or iv even for wisdom teeth surgical extractions. Crowns are a cake walk.

@@haji5059 well of course not, thats what lidocaine or whatever is for. A good dentist will prod your gums with an explorer to make sure you have no feeling, before starting the drill.
Oh yeah....take earbuds and listen to some heavy dubstep or something with a lot of bass while the drill is going. It really helps with the whirring vibrations of the drill.
@@haji5059 i have it in my notes to be given extra local anaesthetic too.....have had an experience of not enough, at another dentist years ago, and its not fun. Relaxing in the chair is the hard part, hence the xanax. If you have anxiety i highly recommend you ask your dentist for some.
You will feel a cold sensation and whirring of the drill but absolutely no pain. Soreness for the next day or 2 is easily managed with motrin.
I literally came on here to see an crown video. and I stumbled across your page. I took a video of my teeth and man they are bad. I'm 30 going on 31 in a couple of months and entering into a new field "Real estate" so I have to talk to ppl constantly, I mean it's not like I already do anyways. but I've been joked on, messed with, picked on and even embarrassed when ppl talk about my teeth or messed up teeth in general. like you said. there are ppl out there in the world that have no confidence in themselves simply cause of the expenses and cost of getting dental work done to your teeth. it's freaking expensive omg. but I think I'm gonna start doing teeth transformation videos along with confidence building and fitness. all because of you. thanks.

My crowns were from braces and gum disease and so the top of my enamel was gone and recently finally I was able to pay for my front teeth to get crowned. It was expensive but God blessed me with the money to get them done. And yes mine hurt too since they did my temporary ones right after cleaning out my cavities. But they’ll get stronger and my gums will too. I’m happy so many of us have been blessed to be able to get this done, and I want to pray for those who can’t yet. My friend asked me if I thought my low opinion and confidence of myself was from having messed up teeth and I told him most definitely. I’ve always tried to avoid being vain, but you just don’t understand that struggle until you have a facial difference you can’t control.

People should really look at themselves in the mirror before they start shaming others. It's a really ugly trait in people's personalities and society is so judgmental these days because we have 'options' now to alter our appearance. I have to trust that karma will get them back. But people should never change themselves just because others are teasing them. They should only do it for themselves.

Same thing happened to me fell off my bike thanks to my cousin when I was 11. 😭 I watched your video the other day and I’ve finally got round to sort them out! I’m 25 lol so yeah I’ve currently got temporaries which I love , can’t wait in 2 weeks To get my actual ones 🙈😍

I’m 14 and when I was about 8 I broke my two front teeth at an angle and right now I just have bonding on them but after I get my braces off I’m going to get them fixed .. my orthodontist wants me to keep getting bonding in them till I’m 18 then do crowns or something but my other dentist wants me to get crowns after I get my braces off so idk

Omg this Is my story exactly almost I was 8 had my two front teeth adult teeth. Played blinds man's buff at school and smashed into a wall once and two people bumped me into the wall again so I chipped both my front teeth. And busted my nose ouch, I've had caps 3 times and they discolour and really upsets me and ruins my confidence I need this done. Thank you for sharing this with us it's given me some ideas ect.
How weird! I was playing blinds man buff with my brother, he picked up an electric toy car and threw it at my face just as I was about to tag him lol. I was 11 then and now I'm 38, I have survived with dental bonding this entire time and will only get crowns as an absolute last resort.
I’m 13 now, but when I was 8 I had an accident where I had fallen and scraped my face against concrete. I have fillings for my two front teeth that have angled chips all the way to my roots. The fillings always crack and chip and leak and are never the same color then my other teeth. Since I’m in middle school I am very self conscious about my teeth and smile. The dentist gave me a choice to have crowns or keep my fillings until I’m old enough to get implants. The only problem is that I looked at the pictures from when they shave your teeth and I don’t want my real teeth to be pointed and tiny like that, also knowing my luck the crown would chip or fall out, also since I play sports. But I don’t want fillings because of the cracking and discoloration for my whole school life until I’m old enough to get implants. Another big factor is the cost, we don’t have enough money for 2 front teeth implants so it will take a long time until I have implants, I want to be a surgeon when I get older too so collage will also be a huge cost. I don’t know what to do, I’ve just been really depressed and down about it and I don’t want to be. Can you please give me advice? Thanks.

Get implant if not get veener or put a gold cap over it

Veneers would probably been better because to install a crow the dentist will need to destroy more of your healthy tooth in most cases but hopefully they work well for you
oh wow i never had upper laterals, numerous facial injuries, and all my composites leaked or stained and wont whiten either, i get comments like "lay off the meth." nice world we live in. you look beautiful even before the crowns.
I myself am a former smoker and current coffee drinker, my teeth are not sparkling white, thats rude someone said you need to whiten your teeth, the past year Ive been having some issues with my teeth so I know it can really suck but you are really pretty anyway, best of luck to you
OMG I have the same story,!!!!!!!! I broke my front teeth, but that caused the nerve to die.
I have a similar experience, yet more severe. When I was 8 years old, I used to jump from stairs into my father’s pickup. Unfortunately, I slipped then I landed my upper jaw right on the edge of the pickup, as a result, I lost my front 2 🦷. Then, as I grew up, my jaws developed disproportionately which required a Maxillary & Mandible surgery to restore the position upper & lower jaw. It took me 20 years to get a good smile after multiple bone & gum grafting. Finally, I had to put a whole bridge on the upper jaw, where all implants have failed.

I'm happy that I saw this video. I have one yellow tooth too (because of a childhood trauma) and I just got my braces off a few months ago. It sucks because I'm still not really comfortable with smiling because of that one tooth! Ugh my endodontics suggested internal bleaching but I think I rather have the crowns. Thanks for sharing!

Yato_GodOfCalamity try getting crest white strips, cutting it so it fits on that one yellow tooth. Leave it up there overnight or for as much as possible. That turned mine whiter and now it matches the rest of my teeth! My dentist kept telling me nothing will work being that tooth is "dead" but it did! I didn't have to get internal bleaching. Hope this helps 😊

For crowns which are even a bit translucent you would have to get internal bleaching either way.
Very similar story except the first point of contact for me were my front teeth which broke in half and got pushed up into my gums. Had root canal which was unsuccessful now it's slowly turning black. Bout to get my crowns and I'm so excited to smile again and not press my lips together and smirk!!!!
I was looking at crown videos because i just made the decision to get them done. When i was in middle school i was trying to ride my bike with no hands on the handle bars and i fell and broke both of my upper front teeth and i had a root canal on one. mines are also half real and half ceramic. I am now 25 and decided it was time i have been scared of doing this for a very long time but seeing this is pretty cool for me thanks for the videos.
Brian Vidal-Mendoza Seems pretty common that half breaks off. Mine happened during skiing and I also have a root canal on one. Noe three years later getting them done properly got the temporary one in now it sucks.

Omg i’m literally in the EXACT same boat. I fell off of a bike when I was 8, and one of my teeth clipped, and I had to get it fixed with the fake teeth material thing (which I believe is a called a crown) ? i’m not sure.. but now i’m 22 and my tooth is greying at the gums AND isn’t straight because I was so young he had to match it with the other front tooth (which wasn’t straight either) so now they’re both longer on the otter sides and i’m going to get them fixed this week. Just thought i would share that because it’s so funny that the exact same thing happened to me at the exact same age lol.
Omg Amy. I just came across you channel looking for implants vs veneers. Can I just tell you that you story about your teeth is sooooo much similar to my story and what happened to my teeth. I'm not sure if I should do a video about it or not but I'll tell you know. I was 10 years old and me and my BROTHER went swimming. I got a towel gland laid on top of it on my tummy to sun bath. My brother and cousin thought it would be so funny to bounce their basketball off the top of my head. Well they calles my name, I looked up and the ball hit the top of my head, my head went down and hit the concrete. It broke of the front teeth in an upside down V. So since then what I had was (a flipped out pair of parents) some crowns they pur over the broken off teeth. Well fast forward 15 years I had to get those removed because of discoloration and I get a set of porcelain teeth with metal looking backing. My dentist at the time was around 70's or later. He didn't push the right one on up to my gums and now I have a gap between my gums and my crown it also made them uneven. Also since it wasnt positioned correctly my gums on the right side looks brusied or black of the time.
Now I'm 41 and looking into implants or veneers (which it will probably be implants). Its so frustrating because I know they nees changed out he could have done a better job. He has since passed.
Ur crowns last for more than 30 years is a lot!! i will recomend to get an e- max crown looks very aesthetic.

your video inspired me to do the unthinkable and get some missing teeth replaced. I had to get a 5 unit bridge on the upper left hand side. I am missing three teeth after my canine. I have been extremely nervous and scared to death. I have had to have my canine tooth shaved down and my very back molar shaved down. They now have temporary crowns. I get my permanent bridge put in next Friday. it can't come fast enough. this has been an exhausting process and so ready for it to be over with. my anxiety is at an all time high because I'm afraid my temporary crowns are going to come off. Thank you for the video it inspired me to get my butt in gear and get it done. praying mine looks as good as yours. For $4000 I pray it does!

THIS HAPPENED TO ME TO!! IT'S LIKE YOU TOLD MY STORY LOL. But I was racing my brother with our bikes in our neighborhood an' (I was in the fifth grade so I was 10 years old) we made a turn in someone's driveway but I somehow lost control of my bike cos I made a sharp turn an' the tire sorta slid an' I fell hard an' since my brother an' I were racing he caught up behind me. So when I fell which we were both surprised, he rode on top of my head. I guess he didn't stop in time. We didn't know I would fall. So my front tooth chipped an' I guess I bit my lip in the inside (I have a scar) so that's why I was bleeding a lot. An' also from my hands when I fell. When I went to the dentist they put a bottom replacement. Later on with the years I got a crown. But I've gone through so much with that tooth. I have a huge tooth gap. Imagine that.
So what kind of dentist did crowns for a central incisors when clearly you coud've done veneers. It would have been cheaper, more natural, better looking, less invasive... ?

Hey ik how you feel completely. I chipped my 2 front teeth when I was in 3rd grade causing them to get root canals done in both of them, they had no records of my dentist doing the root canals and so half of my tooth is fake and the other half if a dead tooth bc they didn't go a good job with them. I recently got my braces of and the coloring of my teeth were hidden. I looked in the mirror right after they came off and all I could look at was my BLUE teeth. My teeth were bluer then ever. When I got my braces off I thought It was gonna be a happy day and everyone would tell me I look so pretty, but no I got "ew why are ur teeth blue?", " Gross whiten ur teeth" like it's so hard that I can't get anything done. But now I'm getting caps and I'm scared because idk what to expect. Ur teeth look amazing
One of my front teeth is also a porcelain crown and it's annoying because the whiter my real teeth become, the yellower the crown looks (which is funny because when I was younger, it was a little bit whiter than my other teeth because I had terrible brushing habits).

I literally had (or still having this issue) my brother pushed me out of the bed and I landed on my 4 front upper teeth .. I've had had fillings they always get darker for the fact that they have a pretty short lifespan .. so when I got 21 (which was 2 yrs ago) I had a crown just like yours on one of the right front upper tooth it's nice but my dentist didn't place it well (this is what another dentist told me) the work was fine the crown is a good one but he left some space between the gum and the crown so food can get in that gap ... just wanted to say that since the day my brother pushed me it did kind of ruin my self confidence because all my other teeth are nice and solid except for the 4 front upper teeth lol
well to make it shorter, your crown looks really nice and you got one beautiful smile right there .. don't pay attention to feedbacks as long as u know that this mini-condition was someone else's fault and not yours

Hi! Did your temps feel bulky and uncomfortable? how do they compare to the real ones? i had temps put on yesterday and hate the feeling. My front 6 teeth are all one piece and they feel like dentures:(
At times, yes but not always!
You could ask your dentist to recontour them to reduce the bulk and to create deeper ‘grooves’ between each tooth to achieve a more realistic look. Doing so can also provide the dentist with more info on what final shape/contour you want before they finalize the crowns.

a car hit me on my bike when I was 15 and I smacked ont he concrete, front tooth needed a root canal and both broke a bottom part off :S Then it turned grey years later. I got a veneer and then it broke after 2- 3 years and now I just had it glued back on. Thinking about getting a crown

My teeth are really bad. I had 4 root canals on my four front teeth. Next Tuesday I'm getting caps on the four. Then I might need a retainer or braces for some crooked teeth. *I hope no braces*

You can't whiten fillings crowns etc. So ppl are uninformed and cruel! It's hard not to mind it, but sadly it makes u hate life ! Hope all works out for you

farzana tonni You should go back to your dentist and explain how you feel, they can usually shave them down or adjust them. Let me know how it goes :)

farzana tonni Your dentist's reply seems poor and not very professional unless they have u a very good reason for why they can't adjust them. Also, before your dentist permanently cemented them, did he put them on with temporary paste and let u see how they feel for a week or 2 before using permanent cement? He should have done this! If not, demand that he puts them right. What I would do is go to a different dentist and get a second opinion, see what could be done about them. Then armed with the response go back to your original dentist and tell him that you want them adjusting or re-doing, u paid money for them, and u shouldn't have to live with something that u don't like. Let me know how it goes or if I could be of any help :)

first of all i didn't need crown at all,my teeth could be fix with just filling, bt just for money they did tht,secondly, they did not gave me any chance to trial them, they just put the final crown which they made, without giving any trial,,
i had not enough idea about crowns and all as um only 19,and my parent's also didnt stop me to put crown

farzana tonni Your life is definitely not ruined, believe me, it can be fixed. The practice of your dentist sounds very unprofessional, go back and demand they put it right, as they are In the wrong they shouldnt charge u to correct their error!
