Hey! Just found your video. Great one! I have loved HD DVD since 2007! I don't have as large a collection but it's nice. At the time, HD DVD players were better than bluray players right outta the gate. They had more features, such as Ethernet ports, already available. Unfortunately I am trying to sell a few titles that I have. Just ones I don't watch often. Keep up the great videos.
I just subbed to your channel and this is a very cool video. I don’t know too much about HD-DVD discs but I’m so glad you have some cool awesome pickups! Blade Runner one was so awesome
You are not alone bro!!! Been. Obsessed with them for the better part of a year as well. Honestly? I think they look better and sound better than Blu ray discs.
If you are talking about the Original Blu-Rays that came out at same time as HD-DVD, Then No, HD-DVD won hands down that war, Sound and Vision was second to none. And still on the right Kit, some of the Film Transfers to HD-DVD Is still way better.
@@TheBudgie29 I don't think so Blu ray all had lossless audio track some HDDVD only Dolby digital 5.1 lossy Harry Potter movies and Batman Begins never got that with Blu ray disc version although gitvfrapoy VC 1 codec transfer alright 2006-09 by WB and Universal I think sometimes Paramount.
@@markpugh6808 I live in Atlantic Canada, so maybe the climate has something to do with it. Since I have five WB titles that play all the way through, and I store them properly.
I destroyed my Shrek the third HD DVD back in 2019 because i dont like Shrek The Third and I like HD DVD better than Blu Ray and I'm also a LaserDisc guy, a Betamax guy, a 8 Track guy and a Reel to Reel guy.

Blu ray disc was better you agree or disagree?
Yeah, Blu-ray is better but I’m still impressed with the quality of HD-DVD.
@@TheCinemaTime True not saying HDDVD terrible miles better than DVD streaming.

I have a few doubles I'm trying to get rid of.
I miss the consistency in menus and features of that format.
I got the star trek hddvd season 1 set. I have both bluray amd hddvd and they are so close in picture quality. Bluray wins just by a margin
Aren't the Universal and Warner Bros notorious for disc rot
Yes they are, but so far I haven’t had a problem.
@@TheCinemaTime I find it weird how some people have a problem and some don't. I hope we get to the bottom of this mystery one day.
@@PixarMan2001it depends how you store them as well Dvds and Blu Rays can get disc rot too

Great Collection Missing The Fast And The Furious And 2Fast 2Furious
480 of them, I have them all. Good Luck.
I had about 325 of them. I sold off over 150 of them. Still have over 150 of them. But finding a lot of the Warner Brothers titles won't play anymore.
