Nice review Lance thanks.
Have just spent £2,000 on a return flight to Aukland to get the discount. I love a bargain!!!!!
I was going to say the weather is coming right but way too scared to say that.🙄
The tire wobble test after mount would benefit this video.👌
I've been using Kryptotal front & xynototal rear Enduro soft, tbo I'm on the fence I've had a couple of front end washouts and don't trust the tyre 100%. I've been running Assagai for last 2 yrs and will probably go back to that at least in the front.
I was about to throw my remote at the screen when you said it’s summer time in New Zealand, then you followed up with the punch line. Well done 😂. Doesn’t feel like we even had summer in Wellington, just rain and wind.
I’m running the kryptotal’s on my Kona but haven’t put them on my yeti yet, still running assegai/dhr2 which I’ve been happy with.
I haven’t ridden my Kona enough to form an opinion on the Kryptotal’s yet
Yes, it seems like all we talk about now is the weather. We have taken over from the British obsession of the weather.
@@bestdayevermtb2 they’ve got brexit to complain about now 👀
Just got some of the new continentals and it does tell you the size/rotation direction just not in yellow, it’s just near the bead
Yes, you are correct. Eventually saw that. Must admit my eyesight is not great and I couldn't see it without glasses.🙄
LOL yeah need to use winter tires all year round...
how Argotal works on loose (dusty) ground? better than Kryptotal? but it has less touching surface - less grip on rocks/slabs ?
I agree. It's not so good on hard, smooth berms, as it doesn't get a bite.
I’ll giv’em a whirl next time 👍
Nice review, how about the actual width of the 29x2.6 argotal ?
Just had a measure. 7cm approx.
No such thing as overkill. Any thing that can prevent you from crashing and staying safe is a good thing. 👍
Overkill may be the wrong word. A tire with a very aggressive tread pattern can be sketchy on very hard surfaces as the side knobs are unable to dig into the surface. This tire suits soft or loose ground rather than hard packed surfaces.
@@bestdayevermtb2 no overkill is a proper term I just busting on you. As much as I like you crash videos the less the better.🤣
Thanks I may need a new back tire.
May need to be quick as I believe some of the range sold out. 😯
Hands down That’s the best tripod I’ve ever seen 🎉
Plenty more where that came from.
@@bestdayevermtb2 🥳🤣😂
Personally i run the Kryptotal at the back and the Argotal at the front, little bit faster rolling back tire, but still plenty of grip👍 I even get away with only running a 2.4 at the back....even though I can hear Lance's gasp of horror at that 😂
That sounds like a good set up. Would suit your XC style of riding.🤣🤣🤣
I want to try that exact same setup. Curious what you think about them, especially in the front
@SidiNic they hold better than any other tire I have ever tried, specially when it gets wet
Good review. They seem very durable. Do u know how many kms they have done?
Good discount 👊
I would estimate about 300km. Surprised how well they have held up. I have been to Whistler a few times and two weeks of riding will destroy a tire on those rocks.
Hey Lance. I am a bit of a Maxxis Assegai fan boy, front and rear. How do these continentals compare?
Great to see you bounce back from that nasty crash. Enjoyed your Queenstown vids btw.
I have run quite a few Assegai also. I think the Argotal is almost closer to a shorty which I have also run. Almost a mud tire. I think the Kryptotal would be closer to an Assegai.
@@bestdayevermtb2 thanks for the advice. 😁😁. Might well consider when I need to change. I stick to the same tyres for all conditions…. Too expensive and too much of a faff to run different tyres.
I try to avoid mud as much as possible to be honest. Here in Nelson mud = slippery clay = crash time.
Did Rotorua the weekend before last, and while wet and a bit muddy in places, it was remarkably grippy. Must be the pumice (??). Loved those trails. Minerals was super fun. As were the others nearby. Ciao
How did you fly the battery down to queenstown? i'm looking to ship my emtb back to uk when i go home.
it was done through a bike shop(as a parcel)
I put the bike on a plane and got my bike shop to courier the battery down. I have checked out a company www.shiptocycle.com not used them yet but they will ship your e-bike door to door anywhere in the world.
Really wanted to try the Kryptotal front and rear but they don’t do the front in a 2.6 only the rear so stupid!
Guess I’ll have to stick to Magic Mary and Big Betty.
That is interesting hadn't noticed that before. Could Run Argotal front and Kryptotal rear. That seems quite popular.
Can you give the tyre a taste test please I'm not convinced it's not made out of chilli
You are correct no chili taste at all just a muddy after taste. In fact, I played a joke on my wife today. I asked her to try my new licorice. She had a chew but it was actually window rubber seals.😂
Did you run 26. Front and rear mate? Cheers from Aus
26 what? Bit confused. You don't mean 26 inch wheels do you? I typically run 24psi rear and 20 psi front if that helps.
@@bestdayevermtb2 sorry I meant 2.6 width. Dang auto correct
@@nigehill That makes more sense yes. 2.6 front and rear.
code doesnt work?
That is no good. Try again tomorrow. I will ask Grant if there is any issues.
Hey bud codes not working so I have manually added discounts on all the tires, sorry about that
why are you being so mean to children's nativity plays? 😁😁😂😂
Sold any tires yet?
