Hi Rose, you have me popping up🤣 with your comment. Thanks for your support, I always look forward to hearing from you my friend. Blessings and much love🙏🤗
Very nice plant and well done! Very easy to understand the lesson! I learned how to always put some cinnamon to protect the plant from rotten roots and much more! Thank you!
Hii🙋♀️ friend, thank you so much for tuning in all the way from the South Pacific. I am absolutely glad that you have been imspired to start growing vandas now😁. Happy growing and God bless you for the support to my channel👌🙏
Hey Precious, that's one tall vanda orchid. A skyscraper alright!! A really prolific grower and bloomer. Seems like a must have. Lol. The blooms are similar to the Top Red, but perhaps the pink to it. Thanks for sharing and your garden is looking quite beautiful in the back ground. Lots of blessings friend.
Hi Charm, thanks as always for tuning in. That vanda grows like a beanstalk, each time i plan to cut it there's always a new spike lol. Will research the top red vanda to see what it looks like. Thanks for the wonderful comments, blessings to you too my friend🙏
Goodevening Precious Blooms Jamaica 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽. Thanks for yet another video, I was quite intrigued at your tall vanda. I’m coming to Precious Blooms for a vanda soon 😂😂😂. I’m enjoying your vanda blooms in the background, they are so beautiful.
YOU!! ... YOU!! ... YOU got me to love and appreciate Vanda Orchids!! THANK YOU!! Also you always make things look so easy in your tutorials - thanks a lot for that too!!
Aaaawww Lyn, my heart melted just now when I read your beautiful comments. I am soooo happy that you have been inspired to love vanda orchids just from watching my videos. Thank you for your support, cheers and blessings always👍🤗🙏
Hello Precious 😊 Thank you so much. That is something that i have always wanted to learn how to do. I have vandas and i know that they will get long one day but i wasn't sure where to cut them. Thanks again for the great video. Im always happy to see you in your beautiful garden. Warm greetings from TnT 😎🌴☀️
Hello my beautiful friend Nicole from TnT, always a pleasure hearing from you. I am so happy that you found the video informative. Cheers and happy growing 👍😊🥰
Heĺlo my precious friend, thank you so much for tuning in. I will check later to see if i can spare you a top cut that has a new growth😁. Glad you enjoyed the video, cheers and God bless👍🙏
Thank you my precious friend. I do believe that it might be from the arachnis species, which would explain why it grows so tall. The color of the bloom is pink. Thanks again for watching, cheers and God bless👍🥰🙏
Greetings from New Jersey! This was so enjoyable Precious and a learned something new from you! I just purchased a little Vanda and a larger one. They're not potted (yet) - just giving them lots of TLC. Thanks for the cinnamon tip. I broke a root this morning while watering - will have to apply some. Take good care and hope to see you in your garden again soon!
Hello my precious friend feom New Jersey, thank you for tuning in to my channel. Delighted that you found my video informative. Please do not apply cinnamon powder to the broken root of your vanda as this may cause the root to become dry. Just leave the root as it is and it should send out a secondary root soon. Cinnamon powder is applied to the stem of the vanda so that it will not remain wet and rot inside the pot. It also prevents fungus from affecting the tip of the stem that was cut. Thanks again for watching and I do hope that you will enjoy my other videos. Cheers and happy growing👍😊
Thank you for such wonderful comments, delighted you enjoyed the video. You can message me on IG regarding the desert rose whenever you are ready😊👍. Thanks for watching, cheers and God bless🥰🙏
Very nice! That’s what a lot of the guys in Florida do. That has so many roots and looks so healthy. That’s at least US $75 in the states. I think it’s a Renanthera Hybrid, probably hybridized with a regular vanda.
Hi Linda, thank you so much for tuning in. Vandas can be grown as bareroot as long as they have a support system. In one of my previous videos, i showed a vanda that i have mounted on a bamboo without any gowing medium. I don't normally wash the charcoal as the one i use does not show signs of being messy but you could go ahead and wash yours if it makes you feel comfortable to do that as a precautionary measure. Thanks again for watching, cheers and God bless☺🌹🙏
Thanks Dott, glad you enjoyed the tutorial. If your vanda is quite a matured plant and has already bloomed several times, the top cut should not take long to bloom after potting. You would have noticed that mine was in spike when i cut it. Just ensure that your top cut has lots of roots. Cheers and have a vandaful day👍😁
Hi Anysia, thanks for tuning in. Growphite provides the plant with nutrients and also protects the roots, stem and foliage. It is available at Evergrow Garden Centre.
Hi Barbara, thank you so much for tuning in to my channel. I use Ridomil Gold or Topsin for fungicide and Confidor or Actara for insecticide. These are in powder form. I also use Biolife bactericide/fungicide and Cure insecticide/miticide which are in liquid form. I use these pesticides interchangeably.
Hi Precious! I absolutely love your channel and your videos and have learned so much from you.. thank you! Could you tell me how to mix the Growphite with the hydrogen peroxide? I've been using only hydrogen peroxide but I'd love to be able to apply nutrients to the foliage of my orchids and I saw where you mentioned in another comment that it supplies nutrients to the plant. Thanks again! 🥰
Hey Petri, thank you so much for tuning in to my channel. I am quite happy that you find it useful and informative. Prescribed measurement for the Growphite is 2 tsp per gallon of water. However, I do not normally use one gallon of water so my measurement is a discretionary one, based on the size of the spray bottle that I am using. Cheers my friend and happy growing.
@@preciousbloomsja Aaww.. thank you so much for your reply! 😊 I know life can get busy and I was really hoping you'd see my question. Much blessings!🙏🏼
Just watching and wondering if you could have gotten at least two Vandas from that one cutting? As usual enjoyed this video. A great Sunday evening treat along with a cold red stripe sorrel beer😂
Aaww my precious friend, delighted you enjoyed the video and yes I could have gotten 2 vandas from the top cut but i would have to wait on a new growth n blooms from the second cut, so thats why I did not perform 2 cuts😊. I know you enjoyed sipping your sorrel beer whilst watching the video lol. Thanks again for watching, cheers and God bless👍🙏
Thank you so much Wendy for the info. I just researched the name but i do believe that the petals of my vanda are of a pinkish color and quite larger than the Anne Black🤔. But guess what? I might just settle for that name after all, lol. Thank you for watching, cheers and stay precious👍🥰
I have had it for a number of years, can't even recall where I got it but it seemst o grow quicker than the rest of vandas and is always in bloom. I’ve always thought vandas were supposed to be bare root. And your charcoal, do you wash it before use, as it bleeds and messy.
