Where on the rio grand do you launch? Im Stationed in south padre island for a year
Hey Kyle, there’s a bunch of places to launch from. I use a private ranch ramp in my home town. But it just depends how big your boat is. Anything north of Starr county is not big boat friendly. Bigger boats are more for like chimney park in Mission.

@@kylefishing21 Chimney park is ok I’ve never heard anything, also haven’t caught anything over 3 pounds. In Starr county it’s sketchy all the time. You got to know more or less where to be, you’ll find bigger fish out here for sure. My biggest at the river has to have been about 6-7 pounds. At Falcon 12+ about 18 years ago when it was on fire.
