iI do not see ANYTHING cool in modern supercars or any newish car: Modern computerised junk for rich idiots. People do not even have to be good drivers to drive in those modern cars. After I saw many reports of nonsense like any McLaren ever built and how unmaintainable they are, I bet if I would be an unbelievably rich guy and would own a McLaren I would pubicly burn it to the ground.
This ferrari was voted the most beautiful classic race car ! In the movie ford vs ferrari the ford team said if we were competing for looks we would have lost already, look at this thing specially from the front its absolutely beautiful, made to go fast!
David Piper is now 93 years young...... What a Great Life! Remember him from my youth in the 70's.... Beautiful car by way and seeing him sign the car, what an honour. Great Video!
Your knowledge of the cars you review is so detailed and the presentation is wonderful. I especially enjoy them as they're cars that not many actually know anything about. Much better than most of what's on YT, especially lately.
I've seen some older race cars. One was a Jaguar, a Porsche, and a GT40. The thing that you will never experience in any photo or video of them is that they have a smell that only a legitimate race car will ever have and that's a mix of sweat, gasoline, and oil. If you love cars and especially racing cars it's just intoxicating and you wish someone could bottle it like a cologne.
What great history this car has. After the F1 race in Monaco in 1981 I visited the Ferrari factory. Their win at Monaco had everyone celebrating another Ferrari victory. An incredible memory for me.
Man that car is a beast, I love it, this was my fav era of sports car racing, I just drool over the 330P4, but man I would take this 412P in a heartbeat, its got everything you could ever want in a '60s style Sports Race car..... Love your new format, your production is of a very high level, video editing is superb.....Looking forward to the next one.....Oh and the Dyno run was cool!!
Congrates on Your new format This is a fine starting point. Personally my #1 favorite of ALL automobiles thus i am touched. You are doing a really fine job and service. AND THANKS to You Father for providing us, and You, with this setting and opportunity. SALUTE'
Love this and all your content! I bet that had to be amazing to drive. I hope one day I can visit your showroom and I wish you were closer to help with the restoration of my Mondial 3.2 cab. Keep up the good work!
Love this video Colleen. Your smile when sitting in thr drivers seat is.priceless. you wrapped nicely in black leather seems like a perfect pairing. Keep up the good work.
Re the video the first mid engined Ferrari was the 246 SP and that came out in 1961. The 206SP (actually 206S) came out in 1966, not 1961 and the first mid engined Ferrari to win Le Mans was a 250P, which won in 1963, not a 250 LM, which won in 1965. The car said to be a 206 SP in the video is actually a replica based on a Dino 246 GT with the engine placed lonitudinally. The 412 P tribute looks very nice. Not sure a Porsche G50 gearbox, which was used in a 231 HP 911 Carrera 3.2, is up to handling 600+ HP though. It needs paint too, imo.
I don’t know who she is but her deep knowledge, and passion for legendary vintage sports cars won an instant subscriber. She even looks like Jacqueline Bisset, the stunning beauty in Bullit, the famous McQueen movie of the same era as the cars.
She and her father Michael run an exotic car sales company in Southern California, they have a website called ferrarisonline. Not a huge operation but the pricing seems very reasonable and they provide an enormous amount of detailed information and photos on the cars. I was interested in a 360 spider, manual last year but my wife and I weren’t crazy about the yellow color. This 412 was still listed on their site as for sale when I last checked.
Colleen. Wow. Excellent video and a super slick presentation. No better topic than this for your inaugural post. My Mum was a Sheehan by the way! I have a cousin Michael!! Best of luck.
Fantastic job on this spec. My favorite bit is the original donated windshield. Sitting or driving this particular car is now on our bucket list. One day someday!
In the 60s at Cristal Palace , mor than once I had the pleasure to see David Piper and his Ferrari win. The track was a short one but the races with Jimmy Clarc IN FORMULA 2 and saloon races with the famous Cortina Lotus were out of this world considering all the famous drivers as Graham Hill Brabaham, Rindt, and too many to list here, Lovely car pity my wallet is not big enough.....God Bless.
The P4/400 Series Le Mans Ferraris are still the most gorgeous cars on earth! Their influence went everywhere. David Piper was an engineer as well as a brilliant driver, he is infamous as the force behind Pier Cams which were a byword for hot camshafts for. engine tuners in Britain and Europe back in the day.
Super job Colleen!! So, David raced everywhere without injury. He hooks up with McQueen for the LeMans movie and gets in a bad wreck. I hope you recorded your interview with David for posterity. I came down with the Red Mist after I bought a 328 and a 348. Have fun!
Dear Coleen, you are beautiful and there are the most beautiful cars around you of era when cars were built by hands, that's so cool. Your passion and positive mood are inspiring!
As a Kid that was born in 1962. I wasn't interested in racing until I saw the cartoon "Speed Racer". As I grew up in the 60's, my dad bought me an F1 race car in 1969...I loved that little car. But I always wondered why I didn't see toy race cars with the "curves" (Ferrari, Maserati Birdcage Tipo, Porsche Spyder, etc...) I guess toy manufactures only focused on modern designs of the 70s. Now that I'm older, I'm starting to collect those old vintage Le Mans, Monza, GP and Daytona winners and losers. They are all marvels' feats of engineering and beauty. (Just like many of the planes in WWII)
Her material is very well presented in that compact time of frame… specially on the Tailored Program via Marco Z- with Ferrari Spa. Also her wardrobe is very modern and proper… tailored superb. I did noticed on the F1 painted Enzo-Car Episode… the flank badges on that car the Cavallino lowest leg hoof is canted versus the one in the bonnet which- appears flat in stance… thus more 2004 and forward Era of- scudetto horse style. This young Lady is an asset on RUclips…. Talk About Class and Elegance in her delivery…. She is “Maranello’s Clos du Mesnil” bar none! Thank you from Ducru Racing Team.
I wish someone would build a tribute Ferrari 312p. The 412p/p4 and 312p are my all time favorite Ferrari designs. Have you ever seen the 330p4 tribute that RM Wilson engineering built??? It's absolutely beautiful
Leather holds it better is a wonderful adage here. Kidding aside - excellent in depth of all vehicles. Here in Greenwich CT is a haven for some the greatest cars in the world. Just ask Luigi Chinetti.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! I remember when I was a kid (still am 😉) and seeing this car and others like the Porsche 917K, Lola T70.....(of course the Ferrari is the most beautiful)racing at Le Mans, the guys who drove them were like super heroes, so at night for a child with those headlights on, The beauty of this car was almost scary in a beautiful way 😉. Just love it
Classic's are not just as cool. There definitely cooler. A time when designers had no limitations and could produce designs without compromise. A time when privateers/racers could produce their one off/specials and go right up against the big factory teams. The greatest shape ever created came from the 1960's. Like the 330p4, 312p, dino 206s, and of course the beautiful d type. Love your channel! Been watching you on Ferrari's online for years. I love the new segment. Keep the videos coming!!!👍👍👍
I wouldnt turn it down if it was free, but Im in the Jay Leno camp on Ferrari. There are other Italian cars I crave. But being broke it doesnt really matter.😂 I appreciate the work involved to create this replica. Very nice.
I was lucky enough to ride in a real one and man is it awesome. This carbs screamed down the freeway. Way more fun to ride in than even a Chiron Super Sport(Disappointment)
Did you ever see the replica P4 that R M Wilson Engineering made?? I think it's the most beautiful replica of the P4 ever created. I believe it's even more beautiful then the three original cars that place 1 2 and 3 at Daytona. As soon as I hit the lottery, my first thing on my list is to order one from R M Wilson. Lol.
Not sure what is cooler, a car presenter wearing leather pants or the fact that the 550 (a 550 Maranello engine, correct?) engine in the car has been made to sound like an "old" V12. 😅 Overall great video and great passion shown. This is the first video I am seeing on this channel, and its very impressive!!! ... Ooooo 600 bhp at 9k rpm from thst engine! Scratching my remark about the donor engine 😂😂😂
In looks it seems very similar to the Porsche 917. Pronounced front wheel humps, long tail with the kick up. It's narrower. Were these shapes dictated by the regulations at the time? Were wings prohibited or had they not been discovered?
Not even F1 used wings in 1967 and, when they started to be used, their benefits had been marginal for several years. Wings started to be used at Le Mans in 1971.
Directed and produced by yours truly!
This car is no way as cool as modern supercars. This car is 200 times as cool as modern supercars.
Well said....
100% correct. Classic cars have style, soul & emotion. No modern car comes close!
iI do not see ANYTHING cool in modern supercars or any newish car: Modern computerised junk for rich idiots. People do not even have to be good drivers to drive in those modern cars.

Parabéns ao David Piper !
Yea bro is crazy how he is still alive :O and he is the only one person who still the know original ways of building 330p4 and 412 ❤

My tr6 gives off a pleasant whiff. I hear what your saying
Clutch is also in the mix
@@GuidoBatt smells like burning hair a little. Bad smell, bad ! 😆
Love this car. Outstanding video! Great job Colleen.
Great machine and great vid! Pretty well known, David Piper made quite a sacrifice when he was one of the drivers filming Le Mans.

It’s so much more cooler than modern cars. And furthermore nothing comes close to a 250 GTO or 300 SL Benz in the modern era for sheer beauty
Awesome video, congratulations on the new channel ! 🎉❤
Thank you!!
Just one of the most beautiful race cars of all time . Wonderful presentation Colleen .
Great new channel Colleen. I’ve been enjoying your other channel.
David Piper is a legend.
Great video as always Colleen!! Incredible car

The fact, Ferrari took a long time to consider mid engine design ..is the story.
Ehhh, if you know Sports Cars, the old cars...are why we even have..the New Sports Cars.
You made this video very informative with your knowledge.i was lucky enough to meet David piper at Good Wood ,and have a chat with him. Nice guy.
Lucky! Hope we can see him, I know he just turned 93

Very awesome video. Please make more 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Excellent video. Wow, I met David Piper back in 1965...think he was driving a Ferrari at Sebring.....great cars and drivers then.

not a bad review at all keep them coming, thank you for classic car reviews in modern times, please get oyur hands on a p4
Great replacement channel. I have been a viewer since the begining.
Thanks for the support!
The first mid engine car to win Le Mans was the 250p in 1963. The 250/275lm won in 1965
I wish someone would build a tribute Ferrari 312p. The 412p/p4 and 312p are my all time favorite Ferrari designs. Have you ever seen the 330p4 tribute that RM Wilson engineering built??? It's absolutely beautiful
Interesting content, looking forward to future videos.
I love these cars. Please make more videos!!!
Way cooler than modern supercars , this is a pure extension of the driver no more no less !
Form following function for sure.
I loved that car
Great car and presentation.
Amazing video
WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL !!!
Great Job Colleen! Your the Car Rockstar!
Great car and great video introducing it, congrats! What happens to your old channel „Ferraris online“?
Thank you! It's just going to get abandoned...might become a barn find
Probably, the most beautiful car ever.
You ain't lyin'!
Fantastic. love the new format
Modern super cars have nothing on this little beast

I love the 60s design of fashion, cars and especially racecars. This was an fantastic video and I'm sold! Just gotta figure out how to earn more $.🤑😁
Not a huge Ferrari fan but the 412 P is beyond cool !
I wouldnt turn it down if it was free, but Im in the Jay Leno camp on Ferrari. There are other Italian cars I crave. But being broke it doesnt really matter.😂 I appreciate the work involved to create this replica. Very nice.
Holy Cow, Kid! Looks Great!
Nice lines, lovely contours. A classic. The car's not bad either.
Men of culture, we meet again.
@@bowlock9901~ LOL, yes, quite so.
The Stratos, with both the modern revival and Lancia original of these Ferrari V-6 powered beasts.
I was lucky enough to ride in a real one and man is it awesome. This carbs screamed down the freeway. Way more fun to ride in than even a Chiron Super Sport(Disappointment)
Huge fan of your edit for the Bonhams video!
Vintage race cars are best looking are best sounding they handle very well the power is more than sufficient and lets not forget they are ultra cool 😎

Looks to be the start of a cool new channel. Would have loved to see some footage of it being driven. On another note, those pants were distracting...
A legend I've never heard of.

It's even COOLER ! If you ask me
I like all those old classic cars like the ones you are mentioning to me those are real cars too
Classic cars are so much better than modern cars!
I appreciate them but after driving some classics definitely not better.
The only thing I don't get is why they couldn't find a more centralized and lower location for this huge/heavy battery.
Will you be adding videos to the old channel now that you have this one also?
Old channel is no more! Should we take the best of the best from the old channel and make a playlist on this channel?
This thing is cooler than all the modern things combined. Even if it had no engine or wheels. Or seats.
Cool video with cool car that is also hot
i recall dean martin's son had one of these on the street back in the eighties.
That's the thing about a Ferrari: They always look like Ferraris no matter what model you're talking about!
