I can’t get over your technique man it blows my mind honestly brother if I tried to lay down clear like you I’d run the whole car and get clear coat built up on the edges, especially your second coat when you hit the quarter panel then into the door then back in the quarter a little, I’ve replayed it like 10 times wish I can one day be half as good as you brother amazing work laying down that clear like water!
It's only because I've sprayed the clear for so long my man. 11 years same clear if I just randomly sprayed a different clear I'd spray more cautious until I got familiar with the clear. That's all it is. Oh and lots of prayer 🙏🏼🤲🏼 😄
@@thetriggerman954 Facts. Even spraying clear that you do know well requires ongoing "practice". Idk about you trigger, but if i take a couple months (even weeks) off without painting, all of a sudden i have to recalibrate and that first job back you remember what it was like back when you were learning cuz you feel like a newbie again and you're just not as comfortable. Maybe even nervous (i know i lost you there)
But, repetition is king, there's no way around it. Watching other people spray on RUclips certainly helps. A lot. But the only way to get better is to spray again and again until you don't have to think.

Dawn man that customer is just asking for problems wanting the trims back in that day if you ain't got no heaters, some moldings can push up the paint which will cause some issues down the track so he can't come back at you on this it's his own doing, I'd atleast wait a week or 2 before even thinking about it I had it happen on my A piller as the seal screws to it so it was my own fault you live and learn from past mistakes, I do have infra-red heaters but a globe is blown so I haven't had the opportunity to give them a try just yet, I got me a triple heater stand second hand for the colder weather

I use AmTech clear coat, it's a product by ProSpray. There is a link in the description for it. I have videos on the spray booth . But I'll get more up in the future as well.
The Iwata Super Nova is bulky but i got used to it at work.. When i first used it. It felt like a 45 colt revolver😂 but boy does it shoot good. It never lets me down.

Great video and Cracking job man, not scared to admit it I'm a Sata fan boy so i loved this. You might like the CC, its a 1.3 i but its slightly smaller than a 1.3, its 1.275 and re engineered i pattern, Get your rep to drop you one off .

Sata are great guns. I love them as well. But I'm not opposed to trying different spray guns. Some guys just think they are the only bad ass guns on the planet. I keep hearing about that CC I'm trying not to buy another gun 😱😜😁

Anybody can help me to what doing wrong with my sata jet 5500. My clear comes out with lots of orange peel and dried areas. Shooting ppg 4000 clear. I go slow and heavy similar results. With my sata you can see the big droplets with to my Iwata supernova lays out nice and smooth. Both guns are 1.3.
What's your pressure with the SATA?
Fellow painter haters advise you to use the wrong product so you look like a fool.
That happened to me at first flat rate body man job parts missing when car comes back from paint side .

SATA is my #1 go to gun , keep your thumb placement firm . I spray fast and heavy , it is easy for the thumb to switch to fan to full ass flow .

I think after all my years in this trade spending that kinda cash on a gun you need to be in a production shop doing 10 to 15 cars a day otherwise i see no need to change from my 400$ guns they work great and my 100$ primer sealer guns work great to each their own.

There's a favorite gun for everyone. People aren't going to agree on each, but what matters more is finding the one you're comfortable and proficient with, then stick with it.

Looks good dude but can you blend a Is chameleon pearl color is 3 different colors green blue and teal when you look at it at different angles how would you go about blending this or does the whole car need to be painted ?
You blend it just the same way you would blend any color. The paint che ges those colors when "viewed" at different angles it's not like your really painting 3 different colors. It's the paint itself. Just just make sure I have coverage and should be no problem

@@thetriggerman954 i thought the same thing i saw it on offer up and then when i showed up to the address it was a new pawn shop I've never heard of before. All they pretty much had was music equipment and this spray gun. They had it locked in a glass case and didn't know what an air cap was. Funny thing the guy rang me up and the total was like twenty bucks more and i was like hey man i didn't know there was going to be tax on top, you had it on offer up so i got 250 that's it and he was like i don't know how to take off tax we're barely set up here just got the system working today so i was like hey all you got to do is ring the gun up at a lower price so that it comes out to 250 with the tax and dude was like I'm not about to do math I'll just pay your tax i already doubled my money on this. SO I thought i was getting a good deal, but apparently not even close depending on who you know.

I have the Sata universe with the 1.3i in HVLP, I’m hearing lots of ppl tell me not to use it for clear. Tell me what you think
No good for clear. It will get clear on the vehicle but you definitely won't get optimal results with that set up. That's made for/ typically used for base coat-metallics.

dope guns, primarily all i use triggerman 🤙those gaskets were faulty when the guns first released.. they were revised and i believe you now recieve a pack of 5 in the box with every gun you purchase (been that way with my last three..) love the content brother, keep it up 👊💪

Did you sand the front fender with 600 or 800 or 400? The whole left side was sand uniformly with the same grit of sandpaper or not?
The prepper sands all blend panels with 800, repaired areas with 400. The fender was a blend panel so 800 😎

Yes sir Sata fog up my booth. That's why I normally use my Iwata LPH. But if you have a nice downdraft you'd be fine. And thank you for including the painter in the list of awesomeness 😉😄
Fantastic job there TriggerMan you really told those Sata nay sayers saying it's to heavy or to big for their poor dainty little hands they are probably frightened of breaking a nail after their manicure😬😂I've never heard anyone say they have leaking problems with the X5500 either it must be user error🤷♂

Why the reps can’t give away the gun for your free advertising and review. Not like they are loosing much money, the gun costs a fraction of the money to make compared to what they rip people off when buying it .

I was wondering if I should buy the Eastwood concours for my clear coat or should I just use my Iwata Kiwami(base gun) for the clear. I was leaning towards the buying Eastwood concours since it’s low Cfm and I have a smaller compressor (30 gallons) and I’m fairly new to this not very fast what do you think?
If you have a smaller compressor then the Eastwood would be ideal for your situation.
@@thetriggerman954 which one should I get the concours lt100 or concours pro. The lt100 at 30 psi uses 4.5 and the pro uses 6.5 at 30. My compressor is around 7 Cfm at 40 psi. should I just use the concours for base and clear rather then my kiwami for base?
@@fiys567 go with the LT and use it for both base and clear. I have a video using it for both base and clear and it worked great.

The CC cap isn’t available in the US.. unless you can ship us some lol
