I absolutely loved this post. I took on raising a baby squirrel as a teen because someone killed his mom. Had Binky for many years. He rode on my shoulder, slept with me and through the years there were hundreds of people came to observe the tame little buddy who loved every one. I miss him so.

@@CodingAbroad lol, no but I raised 2. So that's why I started calling myself that. The older squirrel was originally named Gadget but my little brother said he never got to name anything so I let him rename her Charlie.

Yeah maybe a better place for the animals but unfortunately not for people so no the world wouldn't be a better place, just a little bit better for animals probably.
Loving animals should be the easiest to start with actually, they ask for so little & give so much unconditional love back & should never be taken for granted. Then move on to humans, keeping in mind none of us is perfect. ❤️

Lucy is such a precious being! I've always loved squirrels, one of my favorite animals. It's sickening that humans don't check trees before cutting them (like hedgehogs in wood piles etc). So selfish, careless, and vain.
Thank goodness this woman is helping out. She's wonderful. I'd love to have a house full of squirrels ( too bad I have one full of cats)! I'm especially envioud of giving those belly rubs!

George Henderson I was thinking she was wearing the harness for safety since she’s been in a home since she was a baby she doesn’t know how to search for food or which animals would have her for food. If she ended up getting away then she’d be in trouble.
@@littlelambinparadise I'm sure you're right, she probably needs to be kept indoors and have humans feed and protect her as she has no experience of fending for herself outdoors. If only there was a large enclosed outside area with lots of trees she could play in safely...

I fed about 20 squirrels or so, and I love them dearly. I know three by looks alone, and two are very friendly and kind. I speak sweetly to them. I really love them, but they are wild animals.

Cute ❤ I rescued an abandoned 3 month old Persian kitten on the street. She was very sick and cold. She had a bleeding wound. I took her to the vet to get her treatment. When the treatment was over, I brought her back to the house we lived in. We have 8 cats now in my house. I shared the videos of the cats. I'm waiting all of you to my channel, if you want to adopt these cats.🐾🐾

I saw. Very beautiful cat. I would've gladly adopted another cat except that my Odin has no intention of sharing my attention. I had another that i sadly lost a few years ago when she didn't recover from surgery to remove a tumor. Odin got along with her but would get very jealous when she got attention. He's been the sole monarch of the house for 3 years now and i know he'd be a jerk to a new kitty

My mom once had to take care of 13 baby squirrels while my brother was five and I was probably ten months old. I'm sure that wasn't fun.

Our backyard squirrels beg outside the patio door the same way. We do feed them but not enough to make them lose their foraging habits.
I enjoyed your video very much. I rescued baby "Lovelace the Squirrel" from a cat that was hovering over her several years ago. I didn't think she would make it those first few weeks. It didn't take long for her to gain weight and strength. I remember how rowdy and rambunctious Lacey was after a couple months. She spent her early days outdoors and wanted to come inside the humans "nest" at night to sleep. She woke me up the same time every morning to be let outside... except the first time she saw snow. I let her outside and barely got the door shut and little Lacey was tapping on the kitchen window to be let back inside. What a day!! How can all that energy be packed into such a small package? She was constantly tearing into something. Far worse than any 2 year old child I've ever seen! But it was a privilege to rescue little Lacey and heartwarming to watch her raise her own babies.

I rescued two baby squirrels after their nest was taken down. I gave them to my boss and she’s raising them....bottle feeding them the whole nine yards...the contractor was just gonna let them lay there on the sidewalk. They didn’t have their eyes open and just a tiny bit of fur...they are doing great and being spoiled just like this one.

Let me give you a bit of advice. Be careful feeding squirrels, they can get over confident. I had one I was feeding it would sit on my lap and take peanuts from my hand. Well one day, she seen me with peanuts jumped from the fence onto my hand and bit me. I know she didn't mean to bite me she was just a little over enthusiastic. After that it was throw them on the ground an let them come and get them. After all they're just wild animals.
