I think ive found my favourite channel seriously these creatures are misunderstood and we in uk are taught their invasive creatures thats rich coming from gumans who are the most invasive animals ever to exsist. The local council put yraps down by the park under the trees so i got my self into alot of trouble by removing the poison and traps. Its dam cruel and disgusting. The pigeons do far more damage then squirrels. Theres not even that many squirrels i feed them daily and at max theres 20 if that. I adore them they have as much right to live as us. Live your content ❤
I'm very glad 😊❤️
And it's very sad indeed what's happening over there in UK regarding grey squirrels. Should the English people be considered "invasive creatures" and be exterminated, because they came to USA and brought all kinds of diseases that killed many Native Americans?! It's very hypocritical and cruel! There are many different kinds of squirrels here in US and they all found a way to coexist. Instead of spending their time and money to kill and destroy the grey squirrels, UK should help the red squirrels boost their immunity.
That's so kind you're trying to intervene. Each of us is only one person and yet... one person, one by one, can make a difference. It's heartbreaking and inexcusable to see animals suffer intentionally and at the hands of humans.
I was baffled and disconcerted when I discovered that anglosaxons tend to think of these cuties as mice with fluffy tails! I remember my wonder, and my friends', the first time I spotted a few of them in a park in Hartford, Connecticut. The same, one year later at Regents Park, London. To me it was like seeing a falling star or a rainbow 💖
Holy crap!! These are adorable precious creatures what's wrong with your local authorities?? That's just not right.
pidgeons are cute too idk why people hate them so much..
I think the vocalizations are because she is REALLY enjoying the flavor of whatever is in that bowl! She is absolutely precious. You are so kind to feed them. It obviously makes them so excited and happy. It's the high point of their day.
That’s what i think too. Yummy food!
Hope to see you again🥰💚💚💚💟
❤
I don't have special feeding bowls for the squirrels since I don't think they come up that often on my deck, but I always call for their protection because they are so sweet 😊
Got a bunch of squirrels around my house too ....thought I heard something about cats and owls in there .
Wow, I've never heard a squirrel vocalize in my 61 years. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos, and squirrels to!
I'm very glad 😊❤️
59, but the same, never heard anything like that from a squirrel! ❤
A few weeks ago I found 4 baby squirrels that had been thrown from their nests during a storm. I was able to get them in a small box with some soft cloth They were wet and cold but were crying very loudly. I put them in the area they had fallen and the mama came back and got them within the next few hours. They were so cute. I had no idea they made such sounds. I was so very thankful that they were back with their mama.
Well done.
Thank you very much for saving these precious babies.
❤
Bless you for letting mama take over. Many would have tried to raise them themselves but usually mom is nearby, waiting for an opportunity to rescue her babes!
I think she's also, saying Thank you! ❤😂❤❤❤❤ I've never heard a 🐿️ talk, before.
Tune in tomorrow for squirrel talk with Ellie, where we will discuss the price of peanuts. 😉🥰💕
🐿💓 So sweet!
No reason to get squirrelly Ellie, the market says the price of peanuts is dropping. Just in time for the holidays!🤭
The inflation alone is ridiculous! 💬🐿️
Don't get me started on the price of peanuts!
Thank you so much for sharing! I had a cottage for many years in northern Canada and had many squirrel, chipmunk, blue Jay and nuthhatch friends that I fed and became friends with. Every Friday when I went to the cottage for the weekend, I would whistle to call them. They would come running to see me. One squirrel, Mama, brought her baby to meet me. She placed her baby on my knee and let me touch it😊. It was the happiest 6 minutes of my life❤
That's wonderful, thank you for sharing this and thank you also for your kind words. 😊❤️
How AWESOME!!
Awww nice story. 😮 I wish my little squirrel friends would bring me their young-in’s to me too. ❤
You are a woman after my own heart. Riches and travels and jewels pale in comparison to an experience like that !
Sounds like you had the childhood of snow white!
I think Ellie may be in heat, in which case providing her with food and safety is just the most perfect thing you can do for her. ❤️🐿
Either that, or she’s saying “Can you believe how freaking great this almond butter is?!” 🤣😂
Lol 😄 She was already pregnant when I filmed this and by the looks of it she's about to give birth any day now. 😊
@@Squirrels_at_the_window
Tell her congratulations! 🎉😊🐿
@@SquirrelTheater Thank you, on behalf of Ellie. 😊🐿️
You think maybe she was in labor? Cursing out her husband😂❤😊
In that case, SATW, she’s probably telling you about her weird cravings, her swollen feet, how she has to wee every 13 seconds . . .
As far as I understood Ellie, first she spoke about personal problems in her squirrel family, then she said that the food was very tasty, then she thanked for the food and for the good company and pleasant communication with you. Not every day she, a squirrel, has to communicate with an intelligent person. And in the end, she decided to lick the plate and thanked again and said that it’s a pity that this yummy is no more!
😂
So sweet 🙏😇🌼🙏
I speak fluent squirrel and I can confirm this comment.
Excellent translation
😂
I have never heard a squirrel "talk" before. 😁So cute.
She really had a lot on her mind 😊🐿 She also really wanted to finish that peanut butter lol
Lol 😂 Indeed 😊
She’s so cute ! ❤️❤️
She needed someone to listen to her, and you were there! My grandfather fed (and tamed, let's be honest) the squirrels in his yard. He loved them so much, and they'd actually come into the kitchen for treats. Thank you for taking care of these precious critters!
That's very nice. Thank you also for your kind words. 😊❤️
@@Squirrels_at_the_window You're more than welcome! I'm just glad there are more people who don't see squirrels as pests.
They'd come into the kitchen? And I get excited when I see them on porch....lol ❤🐿
My Dad and I fed blue jays peanuts in the shell until they would take them out of our hands. One day I heard something in the kitchen and one of the Jays had come in the open sliding door and was dragging the bag of peanuts away. Now I am old, 70 and Dad is long gone but what wonderful interactions we can have with our feathered and furry friends.
@@sakibear4478 Jays are such stinkers! They're so cute and funny though. Those are really sweet memories you shared with you and your dad :). My sister worked for a summer in the mountains and fed Jays daily. Young ones would even sit and yell if she didn't put food out for them fast enough.
What a delightful little soul. So sad when people condemn grey squirrels and pigeons - both species being non-native to the British Isles - then some people try to demonize them just because they were clever and adaptable enough to survive capture and release into an unknown land. Let's respect all forms of life, respect ourselves, and respect the planet.
That nut butter was so delicious to Ellie, she ate the whole thing while thanking you and telling you how much she and her family loves you and appreciates you just like your viewers do. Thank you always for your kindness and sharing.
Thank you for your kind words 😊❤️
I've never heard a squirrel make that noise. She's definitely feeling something. Lol
At my son's Jr. High, they had a squirrel so tame he would sleep in the Admin. office in a straw bed. The kids loved and protected him and would open up and talk with staff about problems they were facing. It really made love these little creatures and protect them too.
That's wonderful 😊❤️
I wish that happened in more schools so children could realise how intelligent and affectionate squirrels can be. We only hear about the vicious ones.
Cars hitting them is so true. Almost my whole day becomes sad when I say one dead on the road. They are so adorable. I have few running in my garden, it is just a pleasure to have them around.
Omg the sounds! How flippen adorable. I want to hold her 🥰
My wife and I started feeding the squirrels on our porch and we've come to see them as such beautiful non-human people, each with personalities, family lineage, curiosity, and playfulness. They've been gracious to let us in to their world. We love squirrels so much!
I think she is telling you "thank you" between bites. She is so grateful and happy. And I'm so grateful you recorded her experience. Thank you from a granny in Montana.
yes for sure, Ellie is saying omg, this stuff is so full of goodness I will easily feed my babies, and please put some more out for me, yum yum
Great grannie in Florida. Precious.
As a person who suffers from severe anxiety due to PTSD your channel is very calming
Very talkative little girl. Thank you feeding this precious girl. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I'm also feeding them in the garden they eat out you're hand and sit on the table and have breakfast with me I thought I was feeding one turned out was three lol now there all coming around and watched one build a nesr 30 feet up at bottom of garden haven't seen young ones yet but due to leave most after ten weeks at end of the month... mike southend on sea
I don't think I've ever hear vocalizations like that before. There seems to be a sense of wanting to communicate something to you. Amazing!
Thank you 😊
Agreed.
Believe it or not, I had a squirrel GROWL at me while perched on a low-hanging limb, on a 50 ft. pine tree next to my house. He was in a rigid "push-up position ready to pounce on me. Guess I was too close to his nest and/or babies. I was actually scared for a little bit. 😮
I think that sounds like the "danger" call. If there's a predator or hawk they see, they'll go up in the trees and bark like that.
Yes, I’m more used to the scolding sound when I inadvertently get too close to their tree or treasures. Haha.
Oh Ellie, you are my spirit animal, talking and high speed eating at the same time! 🐿️💕
😄
lol i love you ❤
Thank you so much for caring about Ellie. There isn't too many ppl that like squirrels, let alone love them enough to feed them. I am one such that loves and wants to help them. They are looked at like nuisances at ppl's bird feeders and it their yards at all. I believe they deserve to be fed and looked after just as much as birds or any other creature on the planet. They are just as innocent, cute and precious as any other. Thank you again for loving sweet Ellie.
I pray to all the squirrels out there. May they be happy, healthy, protected and courageous.
Dear little Ellie….she loves you….and thank you my dear….for being so kind to her 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😉👍👍
I used to feed a squirrel visitor but I never heard him/her speak; the only communication I got was the window being scratched. This was absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
She's really digging whatever you gave her for dinner. What a sweetheart. Great job.
It's mixed nut butter, you can find the link for it in the description.
I’ve never ever heard Squirrel speak! Fascinating. Thanks for having her back.❤
WOW...she was super hungry and did seem pretty stressed. So grateful for your assistance and care, I know it blesses many. ❤
You are very kind, thank you 😊❤️
@@Squirrels_at_the_window What is it eating? I have squirrels around where I live but I don’t know what to feed them.
@MsAppassionata they like peanuts . Actually they like all kinds of nuts. Peanut butter too.
Mine at school love pumpkin seeds
I used to make peanut butter sandwiches on sprouted grain bread, cut them into quarters and watch the chipmunks eat them. 😁
The squirrel is so cute! I really dont understand what people have against them and treat them like crap. They usually dont disturb anyone.
Same. It doesn't make any sense.
I love My Squirrels I’ve feed them my whole life wherever I’ve lived, they are adorable.
I've said that of sea gulls, too.
I always find it funny when a new generation of squirrels are born. Full-grown squirrels are already small but the babies are even tinier. And of course they have no idea how much danger they're in on the streets with vehicles so they often stop right in the middle of the street and it takes them some time to process that they need to move. But it's really funny too.
Many people are generally disconnected from nature.
💗🐿 Oh my! She was seriously hungry and think Ellie was profusely thanking you for the good meal!! Thank u for being a kind and understanding human being because it's tough out there for critters to!!
When we lived in Montana we fed both birds and squirrels since weather often limited food for them. In time we became friends with a squirrel who kept us on our toes to keep her food set out prior to her visit. If it wasn't there she would let us know. Very talkative and pushy. Just loved her. What a delight to see her each day.
Thank you for being Ellie’s good friend - feeding her, talking to her, and being kind to her.
So sweet. She's telling you the whole story 😂 I talk to the animals also.
I feed my squirrels 12 months of the year. They get sunflower seeds, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, grapes, berries, water, and apples. I have chipmunks also 🐿 that eat what the squirrels eat.
There's 3 raccoons that come over and I feed them peanut butter sandwiches, bananas, grapes, wieners, oatmeal cookies, and water. I feed the birds sunflower seeds, peanuts, and water 12 months of the year also. The Hummingbirds are back so I have 4 feeders that I wash and refill every 3 days. Right now I have 2 Mallards 🦆 🦆 ❤️ 🤗
I could never hurt anything. ❤️
Wonderful! 😊❤️
@@Squirrels_at_the_window 😃
How do you get these cuties to willingly be around you? I want that gift too, but my cats are always trying to kill them.😢
Awe your the sweetest those animals are saying thank you soooooooop much😁🤗😊
“the whole story”😂and thanks for the list! I sometimes feed a few crows which I enjoy and wanting them to trust me that I am not a toxic person💛have a blessed day👍🏻
I don't know how I missed this the first 10 times I've watched this video but Ellie has the CUTEST look on her face at precisely 3:43 and 3:45 seconds! ❤❤❤😂😂
Aww her little tummy pushing in as she speaks ❤
I love the way Ellie tells you her squirrel problems in between bites of food ❤🐿
😊
What do feed her ? I’d like to do this for my furry backyard friends💙
I think Ellie is saying "Thank you for the delicious food, kind and gentle lady"🐿🐿❤❤🤗
So friggin cute! I can watch squirrels all day! 💕💕💕
I am learning so much about these little creatures from you.....I never knew they had such a vocabulary .....🤣
I’m not Doctor Doolittle, so I can’t be sure, but based off other squirrel videos I’ve seen & squirrel behaviour I’ve observed, my best guess is that little Ellie is in season & for want of a better phrase that’s her call for a suitable suitor…
Either that or she’s trying to tell you that’s not enough nut butter to quell her cravings & you need to get the jar handy & your big spoon out & get her some more, sharpish! 😂
That's a pretty good guess. It would be the right time of year for that.
The Window® does seem like a place to meet a guy...
Lol, you guys are funny. 😄 But she was already pregnant when I filmed this, and by the looks of it she's going to give birth any day now.
@@Squirrels_at_the_window Awww 🥰 Little baby squirrels 🤗🐿🐿🐿
Maybe she was asking you for baby name suggestions or requesting double nut butter rations for when the little ones arrive so she can keep up her strength to feed them all!
Like all your squirrels, Ellie looks to be in excellent condition. I’m sure she’ll have strong, healthy babies & is sure to bring them to meet her kindly human friend at the window once they’re ready to venture out. Can’t wait to see them 😍
@@jefforton9122 Thank you 😊❤️ I'm very eager to see the baby squirrels too 😍🐿️
This has brought a tear to my eye. There are so many people that are bad to these innocent little creatures and here we have a very gentle lady feeding and using kind words to the little pets. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for feeding and being there for them. Sending big hugs to you and the beautiful squirrels ❤🐿️
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
@Nature and Wildlife ie You are very kind and sweet. Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. Big hugs to you from me and the squirrels 😊❤️
wait, who would hurt a squirrel?
❤It shows a great intelligence to care for another so called "just a" , we don't have these lovely ones here in OZ but I have red legged wallabies and scrub turkeys that visit everyday :) many call them " its just a " but to me they are a lovely little lives , now my dog has gone I only have them as my animal friends. Stay golden with a wonderful heart you people that love these innocent lives ❤💙❤💙❤
How sweet and much needed.I’ve been feeding 8 precious squirrels everyday for over a year now and they are extremely intelligent and sweet. I was initially horrified when I google what to feed them and the majority of what came up was how to poison them to get rid of them…😡! They’re not different than any other pet bc all they want is love, food and a safe place to live❣️
I made the mistake of looking for squirrel treats on Amazon recently. Made me so damn sad to see them selling traps to kill squirrels :(
@@Minouser8 I’m with you 100%!
Sometimes a squirrel just needs to “vent.” Thank you for being there for her, you’re a good human❤️
God bless you! Ellie's the kind of girl who'd invite you to HER place for some tea to listen to YOUR problems. My late mom left peanuts and peanut butter for her 2 squirrel buddies, Clancy and Rocky. One day she went shopping and forgot to leave the treats. She came home just in time to see Clancy slowly walking away, tail dragging. She ran outside and told Clancy to come back! My mom was wonderful, also a grandma to my pet rats...she gave them a hot lunch every day when I was away at school ❤
What a sweet momma. I never knew squirrels make that kind of noise when they are pregnant. She sure loves the almond butter. Congratulations on your upcoming babies! 🐿⚘️🌷💞
I had a friend squirrel named Rick who lived in the tree in front of my house and I adored him and bright him food daily. I am so sad we moved away. I still miss that sweet little guy.
So cute and funny how she talks with her mouth full ☺🥰
Squirrels are some of my favorite animals. Ill never forget one day after parking my car - my employer had wonderful landscaping and there were some fallen branches on the ground. This little squirrel was having a ball. I stopped to watch him before entering my building. I was quietly laughing and he noticed and started really showing off. That made a wonderful start to my work day.
Aww! Ellie was a little chatterbox today!!! Too sweet! ❤ hearing her little teeth scraping the bowl.
Indeed, thank you 😊❤️
O.M.G. she's right, it's just like she's having lunch with a friend and telling her all her news, so sweet ❤🐿
I did not know they made these sounds! Sooo cute!
So sweet squirrel, she’s like saying thank you for the good food you prepared for me! She appreciated it very much!
I think she is thanking you for the wonderful food!
😊❤️
I think this beautiful girl was letting all her friends know that there was good food going for free at your window with all her cute little squeaks, how cute was she!! 😍
This is called joyful singing, a gift from Ellie to you.
She was serenading you with her squirrel songs.
A very great and rarely heard blessing.
Awww, this broke my heart to hear her. Sounds like she’s stressed about something. Could there have been a hawk in the area? Thank you for taking such wonderful care of these precious animals. I’m doing my part as well. God bless you and the beautiful squirrels. Love from your friend in Tennessee. 🥰🐿
Yes, I think it might have been a hawk. Thank you also for your kind words and for taking care of the animals in your area. God bless you too my friend 😊❤️🙏
Cuteness overload! Reminds me of my pet squirrel Pecan. He comes over every morning and takes walnuts out of my hand :)
Wow Ellie is so beautiful and vocal, what a honour to have them visit you. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.❤
I love how she calmed down right after you told her it was "okay". Such a hard life in the wild.❤❤❤
I have a squirrel Fang who comes to see me everyday!! I named that because he actually has a fang that hangs out of his mouth!! His mom brought him an another sibling when they were born to meet me!! I had been feeding her as well then she left and the two had a safe place to come to eat!! Now just Fang comes he always washes his face before I give him his meal!! It's so darn cute!! God bless you and all the squirrels!!
Squirrels are adorable creatures, and so entertaining. They make my heart happy❤️
wow!! I've never heard so many vocalizations from a squirrel! :)
She’s precious!! I’ve gotta sweet little gray squirrel, that stays in the house with us, and she is loved & protected like she’s one of my kids.
I might not have heard a more adorable sound in my life. Squirrels are such gentle and beautiful animals.
I have a core group of 5 squirrels that I feed. I thought I knew all their noises but Ive never heard this one before. Gorgeous.
She's thanking you for the food and support. And probably recommending a grocery list and spilling the tea about your neighborhood.😂
Thank you for the kindness you show the squirrel people. May you know blessings.
I read up on the noises they make, in this case the squirrel is saying that they want MORE to eat, or they are letting other squirrels in the area to come and eat and that you are of no danger to them. Great heart of you to do this for them. 😊
I think she is just expressing her gratitude for all the good yummies you provide. 😁 Thanks for sharing. 💞🤗❤
Thank you also for your lovely comment 😊❤️
@@Squirrels_at_the_window what exactly was that you give them? We give the ones around here nuts and peanut butter on crackers.
Ellie is telling you that she REALLY loves that food. She's so adorable. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We love squirrels see them everyday the baby ones are so funny always jumping and leaping around some are so tame
SHE'S THANKING YOU FOR THE TASTY FOOD. !! and telling you she loves you. I had 2 baby squirrels I raised...hey went went withme everywhere...skittled up my legs like a tree and sat on both my shoulders. GOD ..I Loved Them SO. This was decades ago. And I always feed the squirrels all my life... many generations of them... all kinds of fresh nuts at the base of my big pine tree. They brought their babies to me...every year.. fed them too...
IT'S THEY WENT WITH ME EVERYWHERE. I FED THEM TOO.
It's so great to see that these little guys have a safe place to come to for comfort and food :) Thank you for taking care of them
Thank you also for your kind words. 😊❤️
My neighborhood has a lot of old trees, primarily oak, and it is always a treat when going on evening walks to watch squirrels out doing their chores, playing, etc. A lot of them are used to frequent passersby in the neighborhood and will remain quite close. Beautiful creatures.
There is a reason that I watch videos like this. It’s to remind me that most people are good.
She’s just too sweet. You’re such a kind person. You take such good care of all these sweet babies.
Thank you very much for your kind words. 😊❤️
I have always fed the squirrels in my yard! They all have different personalities. The females raise their babies and teach them how to squirrel in out yard.😂 We had one named Cookie that would sit on our back steps every morning waiting for special treatment. Her little hands would be grasped together like she was patiently waiting, then when you opened the backdoor she would reach up with her paws outstretched waiting for her treat. She loved pecans and I would give her her pecan rations for the day.😂
I love this! My “special” squirrel , who waits patiently at the back door to be handed a nut is named Peanut. She’s the matriarch and yes, she brings her little ones to my yard to teach them how to squirrel. I did learn that the peanuts I was feeding them are fine for the jays but not particularly nutritious for squirrels, so they now get a mix with walnuts, pecans, etc. 😊
I love my squirrel visitors, they even come right in the house and my dog doesnt mind at all.
thank you for your kind heart ❤️ prayers and blessings 😊
Awe she cleaned up her plate. Hungry today. I hear them chatter in the woods and think they're scared. You are a blessing for God's creatures and she had so much to say. Love this..🙏💗
I heard when you hear them making that noise in the woods that they are warning their friends that there is a predator nearby!
I’m currently feeding 5 squirrels who have been displaced by a new housing build. One gets stuck every now and then down the bird nut feeder and is then very vocal ! (Although they have their own squirrel feeding box) I wiggle his back legs out and then retreat to my recliner chair to watch him extract himself again and then scamper on the greenhouse roof where he sits watching me and cocking his head from side to side. They are all individual with their own personalities and I love watching their antics. I’m just hoping one pair will have babies - that would be amazing 🐿️
I think Ellie's singing "Best Day of My Life". What a lovely thing you do for these little guys.
So that's the sound they make! Ellie was so talkative-- and SO hungry--ate the whole dish! Looks yummy, too!
Lovely channel!
Thank you 😊❤️
She was thanking you for the awesome breakfast!💗🐿️💗
Ellie sounds like she needs a lot of love from you!! Poor thing, my heart broke hearing her cry so much! Wonder what happened to her?!
I think it was a predator like a hawk, a cat or a dog, that really bothered her.
Actually it was likely because she is pregnant. That's just the sound they make during that time.
It's Sammy. He's out all night with his mates.
I agree. We are their keepers. I like how the squirrel swallows. My dog does that when he eats. Let's be kind to our furry friends.
She is quite the talker when she eats! Those are happy squeaks actually; she's basically telling you thank you in squirrel, or claiming you are her territory~! Either way very adorable! 🥰😇
We have to be free and tell everyone our problems! Glad Ellie knows that very well! She looks just like a princess! Don't worry, sweetheart! You'll be okay!
Aww, thank you very much. 😊❤️
She speaking with her mouth full ☺️❤️😘she loves that food you made 🥲🙌❤️
Namaste. My neighbour and I are avid squirrel feeders and protectors. She's adorable! Bless people like you...Hugs from Ontario
Im pleased Ellie enjoyed her food, Ive no idea what she was saying, but my cats were very interested in her chatter. She is very sweet, she looked very hungry - Thank you for feeding her.
Little adorable Ellie will live a happier, healthier and probably a longer life too just knowing this wonderful person
You are very kind, thank you 😊❤️
4:25 The way they licked the plate like a dog is just crazy. Very cute.
Little Squirrel seems to love that food! Looks like a sticky nut butter paste which would make a fresh bowl of water a great chaser to that meal. Thank you for being so kind to them and making such great videos🙏🏻
I always have two bowls of fresh water for them - one on the AC and one under the bushes.
I think squirrel’s eyes look so gentle. I love these babies!! ❤ They are so precious.
I've never heard a squirrel make noises like that, and I've had squirrels coming to my house for walnuts and hazelnuts for years!
I have a screened in porch I sit out on and always enjoy when the young ones venture out and chase each other around.
Oh ELLIE!!!!Your little deep groans made me so SAD, but I ama happy that despite your heartaches, ❤🩹 you had a good appetite! I said a prayer for your Safety and Happier days. Sending you my virtual love and emabrace. ❤
