Cars hitting them is so true. Almost my whole day becomes sad when I say one dead on the road. They are so adorable. I have few running in my garden, it is just a pleasure to have them around.
I read up on the noises they make, in this case the squirrel is saying that they want MORE to eat, or they are letting other squirrels in the area to come and eat and that you are of no danger to them. Great heart of you to do this for them. 😊

I’m not Doctor Doolittle, so I can’t be sure, but based off other squirrel videos I’ve seen & squirrel behaviour I’ve observed, my best guess is that little Ellie is in season & for want of a better phrase that’s her call for a suitable suitor… Either that or she’s trying to tell you that’s not enough nut butter to quell her cravings & you need to get the jar handy & your big spoon out & get her some more, sharpish! 😂
@@Squirrels_at_the_window Awww 🥰 Little baby squirrels 🤗🐿🐿🐿 Maybe she was asking you for baby name suggestions or requesting double nut butter rations for when the little ones arrive so she can keep up her strength to feed them all! What a sweet momma. I never knew squirrels make that kind of noise when they are pregnant. She sure loves the almond butter. Congratulations on your upcoming babies! 🐿⚘️🌷💞
Squirrels are some of my favorite animals. Ill never forget one day after parking my car - my employer had wonderful landscaping and there were some fallen branches on the ground. This little squirrel was having a ball. I stopped to watch him before entering my building. I was quietly laughing and he noticed and started really showing off. That made a wonderful start to my work day.
God bless you! Ellie's the kind of girl who'd invite you to HER place for some tea to listen to YOUR problems. My late mom left peanuts and peanut butter for her 2 squirrel buddies, Clancy and Rocky. One day she went shopping and forgot to leave the treats. She came home just in time to see Clancy slowly walking away, tail dragging. She ran outside and told Clancy to come back! My mom was wonderful, also a grandma to my pet rats...she gave them a hot lunch every day when I was away at school ❤
@Squirrelsatthewindow I hope I am not going to sound morbid to you but I have a question for you. @1:37 you wrote on the screen "And as long as I'm around, you will always find food and consolation at my window. I would like to tell you that my Aunt passed away, her will was read and she left her home to my cousin (the daughter of my Aunt) along with a large amount of money. In the will, it was specified to my cousin that there was money allotted in that amount to feed her beloved squirrels each and every day. My cousin moved in with my Aunt to care for her the last years of her life. While she was there, she took joy in going through the ritual of feeding the squirrels the same time each day a few times a day and they both had such joy engaging in the ritual together. I lived next door to them, I went and helped when I could. All of us so very happy. All kinds of neat homemade treats to put out. When the horrible day came that my Aunt passed away, my cousin was still feeding the squirrels at the exact times even though she was in deep grief, the squirrels were faithfully feed at the exact times only a few times when she could not be home at those times, she would ask me to run next door and feed them. A while after the death of my Aunt, the will was read. That is when my cousin was told that she had paperwork to sign so that the home was transferred into her name and that the home was paid in full with 10 years of county taxes paid. She was also informed that there was money allotted for squirrel food for years. I am crying writing this, I miss my Aunt dearly. So my question to you is this, is there any way that for your legacy, would you leave your home to a Loved one that knows the Love and Loyalty that you have for your squirrels and their offspring? My Aunt took care of squirrels for a little over 30 years, soon after she purchased her home, so there were generations of them. I just found this your RUclips and I subscribed. My channel is private so you will not know that, but just know that I subscribed and I am so very happy that I found you. Your heart is just like the heart of my Aunt, I truly thank you with all of my heart.
Welcome to my channel and thank you very much for sharing this story and for your kind words. ❤️ I would definitely love to do the same as your dear aunt. 😊
Interesting that you shared the story about your auntie and cousin and even yourself ( you are the same kind of person, it shows👍) My parents loved the animals and always fed them all. My dad and mom had rescued cats, they had a dog and resident birds and squirrels and families of opossums as well. Mom left everything to me because she believed my brother might sell the place out from under me if she left him a share, I had no idea what her plans were because she did love him dearly but she knew him better than anyone. (He received money but not the property, not too happy) I had my animals, their animals and I adopted the neighbor’s dog when she went to a home, we had quite a family! Fifteen years later and I am praying to find a kindred soul as I never married or had children but I believe if the LORD tarries, he will let me know who that person might be, He is good that way! P.S. I still carry on the legacy of their love to this day!❤🙏
I had a friend squirrel named Rick who lived in the tree in front of my house and I adored him and bright him food daily. I am so sad we moved away. I still miss that sweet little guy.
I have a squirrel Fang who comes to see me everyday!! I named that because he actually has a fang that hangs out of his mouth!! His mom brought him an another sibling when they were born to meet me!! I had been feeding her as well then she left and the two had a safe place to come to eat!! Now just Fang comes he always washes his face before I give him his meal!! It's so darn cute!! God bless you and all the squirrels!!
Squirrels make that noise as a sort of danger alarm to other squirrels in the area. They are very social and she is probably considering you to be another squirrel who needs warning of some threat she saw earlier. My squirrel makes this sound whenever the vacuum cleaner is on ;)
We have to be free and tell everyone our problems! Glad Ellie knows that very well! She looks just like a princess! Don't worry, sweetheart! You'll be okay!
Im pleased Ellie enjoyed her food, Ive no idea what she was saying, but my cats were very interested in her chatter. She is very sweet, she looked very hungry - Thank you for feeding her.

When we lived in Montana we fed both birds and squirrels since weather often limited food for them. In time we became friends with a squirrel who kept us on our toes to keep her food set out prior to her visit. If it wasn't there she would let us know. Very talkative and pushy. Just loved her. What a delight to see her each day.
How sweet and much needed.I’ve been feeding 8 precious squirrels everyday for over a year now and they are extremely intelligent and sweet. I was initially horrified when I google what to feed them and the majority of what came up was how to poison them to get rid of them…😡! They’re not different than any other pet bc all they want is love, food and a safe place to live❣️
Thank you so much for caring about Ellie. There isn't too many ppl that like squirrels, let alone love them enough to feed them. I am one such that loves and wants to help them. They are looked at like nuisances at ppl's bird feeders and it their yards at all. I believe they deserve to be fed and looked after just as much as birds or any other creature on the planet. They are just as innocent, cute and precious as any other. Thank you again for loving sweet Ellie.

Whatever is in that bowl that squirrel loves it 😊
It's Kirkland nut butter, you can find the link for it in the description.
Dear little Ellie….she loves you….and thank you my dear….for being so kind to her 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😉👍👍
I used to feed a squirrel visitor but I never heard him/her speak; the only communication I got was the window being scratched. This was absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
Wonderful!!!!
I think Ellie is saying "Thank you for the delicious food, kind and gentle lady"🐿🐿❤❤🤗
Very talkative little girl. Thank you feeding this precious girl. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I'm also feeding them in the garden they eat out you're hand and sit on the table and have breakfast with me I thought I was feeding one turned out was three lol now there all coming around and watched one build a nesr 30 feet up at bottom of garden haven't seen young ones yet but due to leave most after ten weeks at end of the month... mike southend on sea
SHE'S THANKING YOU FOR THE TASTY FOOD. !! and telling you she loves you. I had 2 baby squirrels I raised...hey went went withme everywhere...skittled up my legs like a tree and sat on both my shoulders. GOD ..I Loved Them SO. This was decades ago. And I always feed the squirrels all my life... many generations of them... all kinds of fresh nuts at the base of my big pine tree. They brought their babies to me...every year.. fed them too...
IT'S THEY WENT WITH ME EVERYWHERE. I FED THEM TOO.
So sweet squirrel, she’s like saying thank you for the good food you prepared for me! She appreciated it very much!
I pray to all the squirrels out there. May they be happy, healthy, protected and courageous.
I’m not Doctor Doolittle, so I can’t be sure, but based off other squirrel videos I’ve seen & squirrel behaviour I’ve observed, my best guess is that little Ellie is in season & for want of a better phrase that’s her call for a suitable suitor…
Either that or she’s trying to tell you that’s not enough nut butter to quell her cravings & you need to get the jar handy & your big spoon out & get her some more, sharpish! 😂
That's a pretty good guess. It would be the right time of year for that.
The Window® does seem like a place to meet a guy...
Lol, you guys are funny. 😄 But she was already pregnant when I filmed this, and by the looks of it she's going to give birth any day now.
@@Squirrels_at_the_window Awww 🥰 Little baby squirrels 🤗🐿🐿🐿
Maybe she was asking you for baby name suggestions or requesting double nut butter rations for when the little ones arrive so she can keep up her strength to feed them all!
Like all your squirrels, Ellie looks to be in excellent condition. I’m sure she’ll have strong, healthy babies & is sure to bring them to meet her kindly human friend at the window once they’re ready to venture out. Can’t wait to see them 😍
@@jefforton9122 Thank you 😊❤️ I'm very eager to see the baby squirrels too 😍🐿️
Awww, this broke my heart to hear her. Sounds like she’s stressed about something. Could there have been a hawk in the area? Thank you for taking such wonderful care of these precious animals. I’m doing my part as well. God bless you and the beautiful squirrels. Love from your friend in Tennessee. 🥰🐿
Yes, I think it might have been a hawk. Thank you also for your kind words and for taking care of the animals in your area. God bless you too my friend 😊❤️🙏
I’ve always loved squirrels , Im not sure whats in the bowl but he sure seems to like it.
It's mixed nut butter, you can find the link for it in the description.
Omg the sounds! How flippen adorable. I want to hold her 🥰
Cuteness overload! Reminds me of my pet squirrel Pecan. He comes over every morning and takes walnuts out of my hand :)
This is called joyful singing, a gift from Ellie to you.
She was serenading you with her squirrel songs.
A very great and rarely heard blessing.
I didn't think I was going to cry, but I have tears rolling down my face. She's so precious.
You are very kind, thank you 😊❤️
I think she is thanking you for the wonderful food!
😊❤️
I’ve never ever heard Squirrel speak! Fascinating. Thanks for having her back.❤
Aww! Ellie was a little chatterbox today!!! Too sweet! ❤ hearing her little teeth scraping the bowl.
Indeed, thank you 😊❤️
It's so great to see that these little guys have a safe place to come to for comfort and food :) Thank you for taking care of them
Thank you also for your kind words. 😊❤️
P.S. I still carry on the legacy of their love to this day!❤🙏
@@Squirrels_at_the_windowthere are beautiful people in this world, thank you for recognizing Our Father’s lovely creation!❤
Squirrels are adorable creatures, and so entertaining. They make my heart happy❤️
I might not have heard a more adorable sound in my life. Squirrels are such gentle and beautiful animals.
I had a friend squirrel named Rick who lived in the tree in front of my house and I adored him and bright him food daily. I am so sad we moved away. I still miss that sweet little guy.
I have a core group of 5 squirrels that I feed. I thought I knew all their noises but Ive never heard this one before. Gorgeous.
Aww her little tummy pushing in as she speaks ❤
Ellie sounds like she needs a lot of love from you!! Poor thing, my heart broke hearing her cry so much! Wonder what happened to her?!
I think it was a predator like a hawk, a cat or a dog, that really bothered her.
Actually it was likely because she is pregnant. That's just the sound they make during that time.
It's Sammy. He's out all night with his mates.
She's really digging whatever you gave her for dinner. What a sweetheart. Great job.
It's mixed nut butter, you can find the link for it in the description.
Squirrels make that noise as a sort of danger alarm to other squirrels in the area. They are very social and she is probably considering you to be another squirrel who needs warning of some threat she saw earlier. My squirrel makes this sound whenever the vacuum cleaner is on ;)
I've never heard a squirrel make noises like that, and I've had squirrels coming to my house for walnuts and hazelnuts for years!
What a sweet baby! Thanks for sharing!
Namaste. My neighbour and I are avid squirrel feeders and protectors. She's adorable! Bless people like you...Hugs from Ontario
Ellie is expressing her appreciation for the TLC you provide her.
We have to be free and tell everyone our problems! Glad Ellie knows that very well! She looks just like a princess! Don't worry, sweetheart! You'll be okay!
Aww, thank you very much. 😊❤️
People who are good to animals are the best people.
I love when they talk with food in their mouths!! So funny!!
Everyone needs to vent sometimes. Thank-you for being the shoulder for Ellie to lean on.
So friggin cute! I can watch squirrels all day! 💕💕💕
Im pleased Ellie enjoyed her food, Ive no idea what she was saying, but my cats were very interested in her chatter. She is very sweet, she looked very hungry - Thank you for feeding her.
💗🐿 Oh my! She was seriously hungry and think Ellie was profusely thanking you for the good meal!! Thank u for being a kind and understanding human being because it's tough out there for critters to!!
I loved this, you actually get to hear the squirrel with no loud music in the background, thank you!
Little adorable Ellie will live a happier, healthier and probably a longer life too just knowing this wonderful person
You are very kind, thank you 😊❤️
I am learning so much about these little creatures from you.....I never knew they had such a vocabulary .....🤣
4:25 The way they licked the plate like a dog is just crazy. Very cute.
She was thanking you for the awesome breakfast!💗🐿️💗
How sweet and much needed.I’ve been feeding 8 precious squirrels everyday for over a year now and they are extremely intelligent and sweet. I was initially horrified when I google what to feed them and the majority of what came up was how to poison them to get rid of them…😡! They’re not different than any other pet bc all they want is love, food and a safe place to live❣️
I made the mistake of looking for squirrel treats on Amazon recently. Made me so damn sad to see them selling traps to kill squirrels :(
@@Minouser8 I’m with you 100%!
I think squirrel’s eyes look so gentle. I love these babies!! ❤ They are so precious.
How nice that you feed these sociable little critters. How rewarding for us all. Thanks for sharing.
She's thanking you for the food and support. And probably recommending a grocery list and spilling the tea about your neighborhood.😂
Brought tears to my eyes....Beautiful....She/he is saying THANK YOU
I did not know they made these sounds! Sooo cute!
All critters need love and understanding
Ellie is so cute , you’re such a nice person to treat her with such high regard.
Thank you for the kindness you show the squirrel people. May you know blessings.
