Really liked this vid, can't believe you only have 12k subs. Seeing how structured and thorough you are you should have way more. Feels like you really know your shit ;) Subbed and liked 😊
You and Mort got me wanting to start documenting my adventures in convention vending. It's one of my favorite things to do at any con I'm ate, and the interactions with people are fun.
I really enjoyed this. I was not ready for the sheer size of that convention. That's so awesome that you and Andy were right beside each other. Really loved hearing the breakdown too. Happy your first experience was a pleasant one ❤
The 2023 Midwest Gaming Convention was nuts on Saturday morning and afternoon. Took a hour just to walk down the first aisle because of so many people.
Always had fun at conventions as an attendee, always wondered what it was like as a vendor as it looks stressful. Great video showing how it is being a vendor, it looks like genuine fun especially when you got a lot of great stuff to sell and are right next to a good pal like Pacmancase! That mud pit parking lot though...what the hell?
You didn't sell off those, um, "special" anime DVDs and Blu-Ray did you? You promised those to me! lol I'm digging that you mapped out your setup; that's some excellent forward thinking my man. All the effort, work, and time that goes into vending is precisely why we've had to turn down so many tables at conventions. Lady Laci did that per her business all her life and now, she wants to be able to wander and enjoy conventions. Kudos to you all for setting up and having sweet goodies for us to buy up! Looks like a really great convention--we'd have a lot of fun wandering there. Yo---slick editing to the music, you KNOW I enjoy that. Nicely done. Really glad the experience literally paid off for you man.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but this means the day 2 profits were merely half of those on day 1, I wonder why that is. My working theory is that there is only so much mainstream/most-wanted anime in those tote boxes, and that most of that was sold on Day 1, leaving mostly niche/indie anime that might not let you break even on if you were to do this again with the remaining stock. Just my two cents though! I also wonder why you don't just sell on ebay when the benefactor only makes 25%, and all the most-wanted anime problem would be solved too.
I might have a solution, which is something like having the 3rd item be 50% off as long as it's a completely different series (something less popular, you can sort by lesser sold ebay listings), so that incentives buying a 2nd and 3rd item. I also don't like how the booth was presented, having only the bindings stick out, I would prefer if you were to use magnets to put at least the valuable anime on a wall behind you, so that anyone walking by can't help but notice it, as the people attending conventions are very shy to just stand and shift through these tote boxes, the resellers have more charisma to cut deals so watch out for those don't give them deals, and people who are shy in groups are too shy to ask their group to wait, just to shift through your tote boxes.
I really enjoyed this video! I went to my first gaming convention yesterday so it's cool to see this side of the collecting world. Love your videos brother!
Excellent! I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for taking the time to document (video) your approach and execution. At least to me, the themes that are consistent in this content vs. your other content are: A) You are genuine and transparent. & B) You always put in the work/grind (never take shortcuts). I wish you nothing but the best as you continue to move the Anime Product.
love vendor booths, and seeing behind the camera makes me happy knowing they are having great times and making good sales. Best of luck to all of them. What was your best sellers?
I’m always on the other side of the table in these situations, so cool to see what it’s like for the vendors! My ocd brain really appreciates how thought out and methodical you are with planning and documenting everything. My brain just can’t handle chaos 😅 Also, cool that you and PMC got to join your booths like voltron lol while Wolf-Pac is an awesome name, I would have went with Wolfman-Case-88 🤷🏻♂️ 😂
I did a gaming convention for my first time. I brought tables and setup at home what I wanted it to look like when I was there. Made out good as well. My second convention I did a Toy Convention to see how that worked out and I took a $300 loss on that so lesson learned.
Good job 👍 I always your videos and I know I your trying to go full GameCube set of us pal and Japan set your video inspire me to go full set of the original Xbox going full set of us and pal and Japan game
Im confused a little. Expenses were roughly $1,000. Sales were $2,700. Profit roughly $1,700. But how do you factor in what you paid for the items you resold. Is that included in the $1,000 expenses? Just curious cause I have thought about downsizing my collection and have a booth at a show. Thanks! Also, I just discovered your channel. have you been to the Southern Fried Gaming Expo in ATL? And what other shows do you plan on going too?
You might have missed the part where I talk about the inventory. We have ZERO dollars in that inventory. I have not been to Southern Fried Gaming Expo, I try to avoid Atlanta traffic haha. Shows I am going to: Game Jam South, CORGS-CON, SEGE, Music City Multi-Con, MAYBE Retropalooza Dallas and MAYBE Really Rad Weekend
@@RetroWolf_YT I understand. Most of what I would be selling is from buying large "lots" of games to get just a few that I need from my collection. Usually, I get these lots for the same money as I would spend buying the games individually. Enjoy the channel!
Oh lol, that was just the deal we made because we are taking on all the insane amount of work, storage and responsibility of the inventory. So our time is worth more than 50%. The other party has to do Zero work.
Really liked this vid, can't believe you only have 12k subs. Seeing how structured and thorough you are you should have way more. Feels like you really know your shit ;) Subbed and liked 😊

It’s a fun experience to document, and I think is good for folks to see
It was so much fun and I really enjoyed documenting it!
Agreed!

As big as that convention was...SEGE is even bigger 😉😁
@@RetroWolf_YT dude! I'm counting days
Can't freaking wait!!
Very cool! Such a different perspective. But it was neat seeing how things work on the other side at conventions. Great video!
Thanks Brandi!

Great work man - love documenting this side of the experience as well. Cheers!!
Thanks brotha Mort!!
love vendor booths, and seeing behind the camera makes me happy knowing they are having great times and making good sales. Best of luck to all of them. What was your best sellers?
It was so much freaking fun, but unfortunately, not all vendors have fun. I think our best sell was over $200

Haha yeah man I am OCD with certain things but with this I knew the more we were prepared and organized, the smoother it would go
really nice videos it was interesting seeing the vendors room from the other side for once
I enjoyed showing this side especially with it being my 1st time!
@RetroWolf88 can't wait for more who knows might meet you someday
Great video! And I like your pricing strategy-makes complete sense!

Great video Matt loved the format. It's intersting to see the business side of vendoring
Thanks dude! I am glad the video turned out good!
I’d be interested to see more of your family members collections, sounds like a cool guy
Yeah unfortunately he doesn't want to be on camera in any way or have his place filmed

@@RetroWolf_YT thanks. I’m just glad it was a small loss for a lesson learned. And that lesson is don’t sell just at any type of convention.
Oh man, Pac-Man?? That’s what I call *THE WORST CASE* scenario hahaha GOTTEM 💪🏻
Lol
If you're ever a vendor at Toomanygames in Pennsylvania, maybe I'll consider buying something.
I will probably never go to Too Many Games unfortunately. Mostly because it is too far away. But who knows maybe one day
Great video maaa dawwwg, very interesting and actually iam going to lose my vendor virginity next month too hahah
Dude hell yeah good luck and have fun!!
Great video, wish you had actual footage of you selling like a POV. Would have been awesome.
Maybe I will try that next time!
Awesome video dude! Great info for people that wanna try being a vendor 😊
Thanks bro!
Great Video Matt! Looks like a great time and I enjoyed you breaking everything down.

Well done mate some nice money made there

What state are you located in?
TN
Total revenue 2700 Expenses of con 900 equals 1800 profit? What about the cost of the inventory?
I think you might have missed the part where I talked about the inventory earlier in the video. We have ZERO dollars in the inventory.
@@RetroWolf_YT i did
Matt, sometimes you remind me of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Maybe it's the goatee, short hair, and southern accent. LOL. But you make me think of him.

Hey wolf you still got the big daddy funko? If so how much do you have on it?
I do still have it! Shoot me a DM on Instagram or Twitter and we can talk about it!
What containers are those that you used to display your games?
If you are talking about on the table with the spines up they are just long, shallow totes you can buy at places like Walmart and lowes
@@RetroWolf_YT Yeah just like the clear long shallow containers. Ill Check my wal mart! Thank you.
You gotta come sell stuff in the New York Or in New Jersey I'll come differently by a good amount of stuff from you
If it wasn't so far I'd consider it
Didnt bring any games to sell there?
It was an Anime Convention and we had all that Anime inventory so it made more sense to focus on that
Rreguetton music background jejeej
What happend to the 50-50% split!? Lol
Huh?
@RetroWolf88 you said you get 75% and the other person gets 25% of the sales. So what happened to the old 50-50 split?
