It's unfortunate, but sometimes you get the best examples of how to act from experiencing hurt from others. It's the golden role to treat others how you want to be treated. it's easy to be a good person when you don't want anyone else to feel the pain you have before. I myself will never understand alot of things that people do the hurt others. I always try my best to make people feel welcomed and comfortable even going as far as watching what I say. So most abandoned children grow up to be great and present parents, never wanting their own child to feel unloved.

Just because you'd go to the end of the earth for your kid, does't mean someone else is capable of doing the same. You have no idea the fathers situation at that time or what it's like being in his head and the struggles he has. That's like me saying well I quit drugs easy, and judging others for not doing the same.
In his house he allows NO cussing, no disrespect, and wouldnt allow them to listen to his music. He was a great father he never did the shit he put un his music thats just a character not truly him. He is a good kind hearted man

He adopted lainey in the early 2000s so she is his daughter and he also adopted stevie a child Kim had in between his two marriages to Kim they’re all his kids but there’s no denying Em I s an excellent father
And the baby Kim had with another man, even though it didn’t work out with Kim he still loved and raised her, that says a lot about him unfortunately a lot of guys wouldn’t do that! That’s why I have so much love and respect for him as a person and amazing artist!

How would you know that? You have no idea if he actually raised his daughter. You don't really know how much he was involved in her upbringing and how often he spend time with her and how often she stayed over at his House and how many days she would stay. Eminem is truly an amazing person. The love he has for not only Hailie, but even kids he raised with neglectful families, proves that he's just a genuinely good, caring person.
Back? He never lost them. He had to share custody of Hailie. Ironically from my research I did before writing about him, it seems he had full custody of the other two girls because of Kim being arrested for cocaine possession and cutting off her ankle bracelet when she was given home detention, so that the other two daughters were going to be put in foster care if he didn't apply to the courts to stop it happening.
So true. My dad lives 10 mins away and I feel no connection to him. I'm 43 now, I feel close to nothing for him. He always put his own family before us and defended them despite their cruel treatment of my mother. They were always right. This is where abandonment issues stem from.
Eminem broke a cycle of drugs, abuse, and neglect. Something so many repeat in dysfunctional families. Definition of a rags to riches story. Got nothing but absolute respect for him
The crazy thing is the rags to riches stories usually end tragically. He could have stayed the way he was before he got sober. It would have been easy to stay the way he was absolute G.
I agree with him, there really is no excuse to walk away from a child. He told Mike Tyson that of all his accomplishments he’s proudest of being able to parent his kids. Now, that’s a real man.
@@Paul-sl9zmthen you don't leave your kids with a batshit crazy person... plus let's be real, we all know what statistics say about child abandonment.

This guy is an amazing father to his children. He has broken the cycle. He has done so much better than his dead beat father. Wishing Eminem all the best.
Do you know him? Judging is easy but I don't know the facts .Em being real...Fact Too quick to judge without knowing. I do that for my dog, imagine my offspring. Can't understand how people can block the love or not have it ...
Furthermore I don't know how Em is as a dad, like really is.. because he talks to talk but I have rejected jobs that were much better by far than the one I had just so I can be with my son everyday, I spend every spare moment with him because I want to. If I have a 100 hours 95 are spent with him. No🧢 kids won't want to be around daddy forever😂😂 my upbringing was 5 with dad. Then you can put any excuse but if you want it you make it happen.
This man with all his talent is a father first. Everything else second. This is so moving to hear him speak about the quandry of meeting his father. Wow how wonderful because despite his unhappy childhood he chose to do better and shows that his kids are his greatest achievement. Such a blessing . I am moved to tears for the purity of his love and thoughts in this interview. ❤
A man who abandons his son is no man in my book. Life is hard as hell and sometimes baby mamas are impossible to deal with but you gotta work through that shit and stay involved, no matter what. Eminem knows that better than anyone. He a real G
I was adopted when I was 4 years old from ukraine. When I was 22. I went to ukraine in search of my birth parents. I found my mother who was a drunk 20 years ago, and was a drunk when I meet her. I had breakfast with her and I knew I could never have a relationship with her. We were too diffrent. I found my father 3 weeks later. What he told me hurt me, but I understood. He told me that if he kept me, he would have abused me. And at 16 he would have sold me off. I asked him if he was happy, and he told me he was. He was happy without me. And I was happy with out him. If marshall's father did stay. His life could have been MUCH worse. So instead of hating the father that is never there. Maybe be greatful for it. Because the life that could have been, might have been worse.
@@ivanstayner8818 I guess you might be right. But the only reason I can think for not caring not caring for your own child is being dead. But a good parent since the day they receive the news, will plan how to provide wellness to the kid physically and emotionality. My mother died when I was 3 years old, but she did not planned anything… Did she thought that my father was going to take care? She knew the man, after all they were married and I was their 3rd kid. Did she thought as a responsible mother? No, she was having kids, she was a woman but does that made her a mother? A GOOD MOTHER? NO!!! Again, she KNEW the man. And, was he a good father? Did he provided for the physical and emotional well-being? NO!!! Then, NOT EVEN BEING DEAD is a good excuse.
Damn right... I relate to Eminem on this point 100%... My "father" is doing life in prison and people always ask me if I would ever go visit him. I give the same answer. So ya, I've really never understood why people put so much emphasis on blood like its somehow inherently important. Hbu guys?

You can see the pain in his size when he’s holding Haley. He’s absolutely right. I don’t understand how parents can do that. It was done to me. My dad never care about me. He died when I was 11, but before that, he never even really look for me or supported me financially in fact I don’t even have his last name. My mom had borderline personality disorder so she was mentally ill and I was raised by my grandmother and today I broke the cycle. I raised two beautiful boys that are healthy when you go through horrible shit in ur childhood you make a bowl to yourself that you will never, put a human being through the shit that you been through
Its humerus and intelligent that eminem created a song called "Roll Model" and litterally became the defination of it. I never met him, but i respect him 100.
That is a real man.
Not the coward that left him with an addicted mom
Just because you'd go to the end of the earth for your kid, does't mean someone else is capable of doing the same. You have no idea the fathers situation at that time or what it's like being in his head and the struggles he has. That's like me saying well I quit drugs easy, and judging others for not doing the same.
@@pjdexter168lol what struggle? If he couldn't take care of the child shldve taken care of the sperm.
You don't know what his mom went through. She didn't abort him and she didn't put him up for adoption so she did something...

I just saw his Mockingbird and cried a good 15 minute ;-;
This is one of the reasons why I have respect for Eminem. He is a real man unlike so many.

EXACTLY!!! There is NO excuse… I won’t say anything more…
I was adopted when I was 4 years old from ukraine.
So there is an excuse. There is always a reason. Dont ever think there isnt.
