I found that spending a few hours to build the columns and beams in advance of getting the whole team together allowed for fast progress. With those prepped, it took three competent DIYers a day to get the structure erected and roof built and installed, leaving just some finishing touches (adding fashia, trusses) for the next day.
Inspiring video.....I want to know which side is 14ft and which one is 12ft. Can you please share that with pics? I have 24ft * 15ft patio and i am planning to buy 2 of them.
I received my pergola the wood looks almost bare what color is it supposed to be and how would I make it stand out. Should I oil it or stain the wood poles ?
Lol,wow I built this gazebo as a side job after working a 8 hour day and it takes me and the other guy that helps me about 4 in a half or sometimes will b done in four hours
Did you anchor the post down to your deck? I might be overthinking this but I just bought mine and I'm thinking of putting four concrete slabs on every post for a more sturdy and stable structure. Liked your video and honesty
Yes we bought some panels that attach the posts to the deck and essentially nailed them in. We didn't use concrete slaps or anything, but that might be a good idea.
U inspire me so much and you saved me from suicide or something Idk. Thank you so much and keep making your awesome videos

@1:17 is that post split right in the middle? For the cost of these gazebos, it shouldn't be.
In how many boxes was the gazebo in ?
Just got mine at Costco. Came in 3 Boxes. Fairly heavy.
@@mscott9872 yeah i already got it. I rented a van from home Depot to get it home. Thanks for your reply though. Got the roof to put up still .

Anchor it
I agree, it needs concrete pillars.
Also, what do the instructions recommend? Concrete pillars or not?
Did I see a long crack in one of the four beans??!
There is a difference between make or assembly. For making you have to design, cut, glue and screw everything. And paint or stain
hello excellent video but I would like to know if you had to get a permit with the city to be able to put it
No we did not have to do anything like that. Just assembled it =)
Yeah, doing it me self probably means that’s going to be 10 times as bad
this is the whole village project huh
