Since you guys were asking about what concept we would like going forward. I like the new JAKL 2.0 it looks much more integrated and well engineered than the original. I would like to see a complete disassembly of the 2.0 version at some stage especially if the operating system is different from the original. Having a proprietary lower has helped make the rifle a far more integrated unit. I am surprised an ambi safety selector switch is not used as it would be easy to do. Designing the ambi magazine release button or lever could be a bit of a challenge. Also a two or three position gas regulator that is easy to access and adjust would be nice, with one position for adverse and one position for suppressed and obviously a normal position. I'm liking what I'm seeing. I hope it still uses the same internals as the original Jakl as the original is extremely reliable. I also recommend using an M4 type of barrel nut for the barrel with a redesign of the barrel retention system obviously needed. I also have a couple of other ideas going forward. I would love for some of my ideas to be used on this rifle and for it to be in full production in both NATO calibres or the equivalent civilian calibres ASAP. 😎🇦🇺👍

Very interesting as usual, I wish you guys the best. PSA gets some hate but it’s a cost of dong business at your consumer friendly budget level. You guys do a lot for bumping the numbers up in the community so I respect it.
I’ve always said that PSA should offer buying just the barrel and trunion to do barrel swaps vs buying a whole new upper. I understand that can be difficult with the slot for adjusting the gas system would be out of place if you get a barrel with a different gas system length than the original purchase. But that has been one of the things keeping me from getting a Jakl so far.
Amazing job PSA!!!! LOOKIN GREAT😅! Can't wait to get my hands on this and put it through it paces! The ability to swap barrels/ calibers. I think that the non-interchangeability with the standard AR15 lower kind of ruins the magic of this rifle. I love the Gen 1 for this reason, and imo was the one great Equalizer in this guns success vs just buying a CZ.
Those are very nice changes. I have a Jakl 300 BO and I like it but these are improvements. I've been wanting a 5.56 Jakl and now I want the updated version. I hope the .308 Jakl goes this route as well someday. 👍🏻
My gripe with the V1 was the lack of ambi bolt control, so it's awesome to see a move toward that. Definitely has the potential for faster reloads now. I do wish there was an ambi catch as well, so that malfunctions could also be addressed quickly and intuitively. Unless I missed it?
Just one question. Why is there not a ambi safety in this when all the other controls come ambi? It can’t really be cost because the difference between a one sided safety or an ambi safety is only a few dollars. I would highly suggest including a ambi safety. It’s become standard on this kind of firearm from every other manufacturer. The dissent from Cmmg, the apc from B&T, the scar from fn, the MCX from Sig. All those piston guns have fully ambi controls. Even if it’s not necessary it just makes yours look cheaper and subpar without it.
Really appreciate the great innovation while also modernizing existing platforms from customer feedback. This is a MUCH more attractive product to me than the original JAKL and I already liked the JAKL to begin with. PLEASE provide a 338ARC upper with an ~8.5" barrel (or whatever short length would maximize the 338ARC round) that can mate with an OLCAN lower. I want nothing more than a super short bullpup that can sling as much lead per trigger pull as practical.
Not being able to use a normal ar15 lower makes this a major NO for me. Being able to reuse your ar15 lower was a major selling point of the JAKL itself; now that it lost this I might as well just keep saving for a Bren 2 or Karmel or something. Sorry PSA but you forgot what made people like the JAKL to begin with.

We will still be producing the 1st generation JAKLs🤘
@@PalmettoStateArmoryVideos Will the gen 2 lower be compatible with both 300 blackout and 5.56 gen 2 uppers? (Only have to buy one lower?)
😎🇦🇺👍
I like the looks of it. Let's see some specs, and reliability testing.
Stay tuned!
i love how well PSA is so interactive and listens to it’s community and how they a standup 2a supporter going out of their way to protect are rights when it could cause more governmental issues
The JAKL Gen one was already good! The Gen 2 looks even better
I’ve done a couple different versions with the Jakl Gen 1

Definitely looks like they listened to their customers. Everything I could think of that could improve the design, they did!
I’m glad that they are making improvements but made that I just got the Gen 1 recently 😢
@@combatreadychannel I’m liking that bullpup design!!
Improvements are great - wish i would have known this 6mo ago when i bought my gen1. Charging handle and ambi bolt release are worth the price of admission.
Hopefully you'll offer a backwards compatible upgrade for the charging handle.
I’m so glad that I waited to get one
Very interesting as usual, I wish you guys the best. PSA gets some hate but it’s a cost of dong business at your consumer friendly budget level. You guys do a lot for bumping the numbers up in the community so I respect it.
1:25 Cat 🐈 meowing? Do yall have a shop cat?
Whammy bar on the guitar
I heard that too lol
I just muted my phone thinking there was a cat in the room. Lol😅
Also @ 1:49. It’s a baby Jakyl.
I thought that was me wheezing as I breathe
I’ve always said that PSA should offer buying just the barrel and trunion to do barrel swaps vs buying a whole new upper. I understand that can be difficult with the slot for adjusting the gas system would be out of place if you get a barrel with a different gas system length than the original purchase. But that has been one of the things keeping me from getting a Jakl so far.
0:44 The reason why we did this is MONEY
No shit, they’re a company. They also care about what we want.
Seriously, all of the other upgrades completely fixed gen 1s problems, and then immediately made the platform obsolete for upgrading other rifles
Nah. Im sick of ar15s give me something else.
Oh no, do the big meanie heads want to be compensated for their labor? You poor poor baby
@@Yeedo420are they saying in 0:44 meaning that the jackle 2.0 will locked as far a upgrading meaning, you have to buy parts from PSA only?
Amazing job PSA!!!! LOOKIN GREAT😅! Can't wait to get my hands on this and put it through it paces! The ability to swap barrels/ calibers. The ambi controls a lighter frame while still being monolithic. The only thing I might add is a wider range of muzzle devices to choose from especially because of the pin and weld requirements for shorter barrels
I really need to make more money for one of these…
I was planning on buying a 300 blk jakl soon but now I will wait for reviews on this one. This looks really great! I want like an 8.5” with a better folding brace then the flimsy triangle one please!
I’ve done a couple different versions with the Jakl Gen 1 and am loving it! Excited for this next Generation!!

That bullpup version looks sick!!!
That reap weaponry looks good with the JAKL. I wonder if it will still work with the Gen 2???
I want that bullpup!!!!
It's beautiful. Fantastic work. You're doing things that most entire countries are unable to do.
1:45 why does it sound like a cat is meowing in the background?

Been waiting for Gen 2 for so long. Wanted a Jakl for years now but the weight and ergos didn't seem right. This looks like a massive improvement!
As long as the first gen stays around so I can put it on my existing lowers…
We will still produce the first gens
Very EXCITED for this! Looks awesome!🇺🇸
Us too!
PSA listens to their customers and always innovates. I love it
We love the feedback!
I love psa so much, keep doing yalls thing man
Nice job on this one! This will be on my must have list! Thanks PSA!
The proprietary lower change is a mistake. Hopefully you keep selling the original version.
from feedback to fruition psa hears the consumer loud and clear and innovated accordingly good job👍
You gotta do the shorter handguard, so it maintains that ACR look.
Buy a angle grinder
@00-Dima Or PSA could just keep a handguard like the Gen 1 had, so I didn't have to take an angle grinder to a 1300 USD firearm
The alternating Mlok slots would make shortening the original handguard difficult anyways. A factory made short handguard would be the better option.
My gripe with the V1 was the lack of ambi bolt control, so it's awesome to see a move toward that. Definitely has the potential for faster reloads now. I do wish there was an ambi catch as well, so that malfunctions could also be addressed quickly and intuitively. Unless I missed it?
You guys are killin it!
Please start stocking the Greenville store with these! Dirty Myrtle seems to get all the good stuff.
Coming soon in gen 3 😆
Really appreciate the great innovation while also modernizing existing platforms from customer feedback. This is a MUCH more attractive product to me than the original JAKL and I already liked the JAKL to begin with.
PLEASE provide a 338ARC upper with an ~8.5" barrel (or whatever short length would maximize the 338ARC round) that can mate with an OLCAN lower. I want nothing more than a super short bullpup that can sling as much lead per trigger pull as practical.
A 308 version would be nice js
You guys are killing it!
This is 6 mm ARC would be sweet! Excited for the future!
Looking more and more like the XCR and ACR. When trigger guard bolt catch/release?
Not being able to use a normal ar15 lower makes this a major NO for me. Being able to reuse your ar15 lower was a major selling point of the JAKL itself; now that it lost this I might as well just keep saving for a Bren 2 or Karmel or something.
Sorry PSA but you forgot what made people like the JAKL to begin with.
I'm glad I held off on buying the original JAKL now.
This will be my first new gun of 2025

I love it! The innovation with you guys is great!!!👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
