Been following Vibrant fab videos as well, highly recommend them for anyone who is into good welding tips and overall fabrication Im sure you guys already thought about this or did it, but I would definitively add insulation to the clutch master cuz the turbo size & ancillaries have substantially increased in size and therefore heat . Build starting to look as awesome as you guys always do things
Thanks for the parking lot footage. We love to see everyday drivers! I was surprised by that Honda Fit. What a cool little car, it's unsuspecting to most, but I bet it's fun to drive.
Sweet XB, this is not the place i'd expect a Buell to be sitting at, not just because its a motorcycle, but also Buell's are like the readheaded stepchild of the motorcycle world.
I got to test ride an early XB, maybe 2004? Cool and strange bike, the short wheelbase, belt drive and instant torque made it feel really funky, everyone should try one out.
That Honda fit was the only one that made me scared, like the guy in a kung-fu fight that stands in the back doing nothing. You know he's badass cause he doesn't care about showing off. And if not, I hear the seats fold into a kind of bed so it would be the most comfortable and practical of the bunch...
While I understand the reasoning about the turbo pipe sizing. It was not mentioned at all about the velocity of the air. This should be accounted for as well. While you'll likely be fine. I'd run the numbers but I'm not sure of the turbo you'll be running.
Awesome vid, loved the shop tour, cool dudes throughout, that Infinity is sick, you know as ya walking along the staff car line up and see a Mitsubishi Starion then a plethora of Subis, I was like hell yeah these dudes are def cool car guys, that Starion I love that the owner hasn’t tried to repaint it , almost a patenia faded look that the red does, I have a red 90s JDM that’s done that, so cool, for extra flex he left the pop ups up, again only that gen wouldn’t have auto shut down when the key is off or removed, sic as, but seeing the Subi row, oh yeah, Was that a Bucky Lasek board on the display parts wall as well? Nice work on the math for that intercooler as well, as wonder how many people screw that up, thinking bigger pipe improves cooling, like flow of an exhaust, it’s never that simple! Great work also on the Cat, (HF option) frustrates me so many people deleting them illegally when they think it’s legal in there state ( when actually Federal law for emissions apply esp in the US to all states regardless). We will lose our privileges sooner rather than later if we continue to ignore basic compliance for street cars, race / track is one thing, if it’s trailered, but driven, high flow cats definitely way to go, good work guys 👍 The one channel that promotes doing it right and legal and imo/e a better end result in your builds, truly professional. Again really enjoyed the Vibrant Vloggs and have subbed to their channel, big fan of their products and even more now of them, didn’t even realise they did exhausts, educated, cheers. 🤘

Already gave the thumbs up but I can't watch the video until I finish my work! I'm just hoping there aren't any bad wheels to hate on in this episode.............

Hey Dzionassi, we apologize for that. Shoot me an email directly to art@vibrantperformance.com - we want to make this right, and make sure your questions get answered!
That is a 2008 Buell XB12SCG 25th Anniversary Signature Edition. Erik Buell developed over 60 different motorcycle patents. Some really cool engineering in it and super fun to ride since it sounds like a Harley.
@@getweir_d not just sounds like a harley, it is a harley evo engine thats been build up to Erik's specs. He tried to squeeze the most power he could out of it cuz its the only thing hd gave him to work with.
I wonder if I can use those bellows because I have my exhaust hard mounted to the driveline not hanging from the body. I do get a stress crack from the mounting tabs halfway down the exhaust. It's happened twice but I did have the exhaust for 8 years now though.
I love the cat idea. But I've destroyed 3 of those exact cats and many others. They last 2 weeks in my car before i spit them out the back. sorry but i laughed so hard with Art the marketing manager
Just remember that boost is a measure of restriction, so it depends on how you look at the equation, more boost doesn’t necessarily mean more power, it depends on where the restriction is as to where the boost lag would be. Meaning if the restriction is at the turbo side that’s bad, if the restriction is at the intake valve that’s better.
yes there is, it seems stupid but it does aid with rasp and helps with breathing up top. just because the exit is 3", it doesn't mean that there is less room for air to escape, there is more volume in the 4" and going from 3"-3.5"-4" there is a lot more volume rather than 3". This helps with top end power.
Downpipe/mid pipe one piece design makes zero engineering sense. They literally have access to any pipe/couple/vband part in their facility. But made the downpipe and mid pipe one piece? So anyone that owns this Supra will have to also own a lift in order to remove or install. Haha nuts
Was thinking the same thing tbh. Also makes it so that you have to cut the cat out when it inevitably goes. And you have to pull that entire beast out just to replace the flex section, instead of say, just a downpipe in a typical setup. It's a beautiful piece though.
Likely for the collection from the bov and the cat. More merge area, less turbulence, more flow, and then once the flow is straightened out, it doesn't need to be 4"
What a nice office space. I work for a multi billion dollar company and do you think they have any excitement or flare on the inside of that place? Absolutely not, it's about as boring as a Hyundai Accent.
A little bit of anecdotal history. Catalytic converters did not clean up the air they really aren’t capable of doing so. The initial purpose of the cats was to convert carbon monoxide a very dangerous gas to carbon dioxide a very much safer gas. With carbon monoxide you can asphyxiate very quickly with very low levels as it is taken up in preference to oxygen in the blood. We expel c02 so we are unlikely to suffocate unless the amount of c02 greatly exceeds oxygen in the atmosphere. What cleaned the air was not burning the rubbish they used to call fuel as the cats would burn up in seconds if the petroleum wasn’t vastly cleaner.
Always great to have you guys over! Thanks for the visit, and sharing with the world what it looks like here at Vibrant!

im all for cats in cars.
This 85% number means nothing. You can instead calcolate the amount of time needed to fill these tubes by the turbo, it is a simple calculation
Please let us know how to calculate this.
